The best Sony 4k TV with an OLED panel that we've tested is the Sony A90J OLED. It's the premium 4k OLED from their 2021 lineup, sitting above the Sony A80J OLED. It delivers exceptional picture quality as it can turn off individual pixels, resulting in perfect blacks. This means that there's no blooming around bright objects in dark scenes. Since each pixel emits light in all directions, it has wide viewing angles, which is great if you have a large seating area because the image remains accurate when viewing from the side. Like most Sony TVs we've tested, it has excellent out-of-the-box color accuracy, and it doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content

This TV is awesome. The picture is bright and has so much detail. The viewing angle is great. Even in a well-lit room, the picture is the best. The sound is the one of the best I have experienced without a sound bar. The remote is easy to use. The buttons are sufficiently large. I enjoy the voice search option. I am happy with this TV. Sometimes I am amazed by the picture even with non 4K viewing.

Fabulous price of $1500 and a huge bargain. Sound quality is excellent for the nonaudiophile. I don’t use a sound bar and quality is great for me.( Bear in mind that I’ve upgraded from a 37” 2007 Panasonic where I HAD to use one!!) Picture quality is excellent although best with a darker room. I’m staggered by the clarity of color and amazing views of people and landscapes. Great apps and a great value. Buy it fast if you can!

The Sony tv we bought is great. We love the screen size, the color and the clarity of the tv. Wish the remote control had better features like my old Sony tv (Model # RM-YD057) that we replaced, but other than that we are very happy. I have been a Sony customer for many years and appreciate the quality of the product and the service from Best Buy. We would recommend the TV and Best Buy to all our friends and family.

This TV is just stunning. The image is fantastic. No issues with bad pixels. Setup was simple and so far the features have been working well, from Chromecast, Airplay, and eARC. It integrated great into our home theater with DTS support. The stand can support a sound bar installation. My only slight issue with the TV is that it runs Android TV. It is fast and responsive, but the interface could use some polish.

Phenomenal picture , and actually a very good sound without the need for some sound bar, i know that it doesn’t go as bright as Samsung’s but i have it in my bedroom which is quite dark, so i really don’t have any complaints, i don’t have any video game console connected to this tv, so I’m not sure about the quality of graphics on this tv, but its elegant, and really slim, slimmer than my iPad Pro

I wasted my time with another brand Vizio Oled but after a short time got rid of that and Went with this Sony A8H!!! This tv is so good at color, blacks and motion it's not even close with that other brand!!! Sound also very good, they matched price after i bought this so for 15 hundred its a great deal. One thing you have to do is calibrate this tv to get the best out of this but once you set this up right it's great.

The T.V we had before this one was a Vizio from 2007, which should give you an indication our family is not very much into T.Vs. My wife and I have always found it funny how people talk about their TV as if it was more important than, I don't know, their wife or pet turtle. But after we finished moving into a place with a slightly bigger family room, we decided we wanted to purchase a TV that if we had family or friends over (let's say to watch a UF football game) it wouldn't be hard to watch. So we purchased this Sony Bravia A8H. And holy garbanzo beans, what a TV! Prior to plugging it in we were worried because of how thin it is, it's the thickness of a mirror. Is the next step to make TVs that are crystal clear holographic displays? I don't know if TV elitists would find faults in it, I certainly see nothing but crystal images. We now are watching the HD Nature shows in abundance just to see how beautiful the images come across. So, if you are one who is looking to upgrade from an older TV, I can't imagine you'd find anything wrong with this one.

Upgraded from a 10 year old Bravia back lit LCD. Was hesitant on the cost, but the experience this TV offers is well worth the cost and I look forward to years of use out of this product. The out of the box contrast, and color accuracy is hands down the best on the market. An added bonus is the screen acts as the speaker which provides a better experience than tvs with the speakers on the back.

I've had for a month now and still discovering options I can do on this set. So versatile! Easy to set up. Picture is incredible. Have it hooked up to a Yamaha A/V receiver, but the sound right from the set isn't bad. All the apps you need are available or you can cast right to it, Googlecast included internally. Just take your time and explore settings because the manual is lacking.

I love Best Buy! I got the best TV I have ever purchased on sale. This Sony OLED has a beautiful picture for watching movies. Set up was effortless and TV was almost intuitive as it works with my Apple TV and blu ray player. But to me the price and great service was the icing on the cake, as it were. It was delivered to my door as quested with no issues.

So I wanted to give this TV a little time before I wrote a review because issues tend to pop up later down the line, not always in the first week or even month. So it goes here. There's no question the TV has a beautiful picture. Everything you've read about OLED is true. The black levels, the contrast, the 3D effect, the color depth and volume. That all applies here. Gorgeous. But, the technical issues started to rear their heads about 3 weeks in to ownership. First there was an intermittent crackling sound through the speakers. It's still there with the built in apps but doesn't happen with Blu Ray. Second, the TV seems to have a mind of its own deciding when it wants to turn itself both off and on. My setup is about as simple as it gets. No cable box, no streaming box. Just a Blu Ray player. I never use CEC(or Bravia Sync) so have that switched off on both the BD player and the TV. I even disconnected the bluetooth to the remote and changed the batteries and shut off all automatic updates. There's no logical reason this should be happening other than a software or hardware glitch or issue. But it persists. My fear is that this is a harbinger of bad things to come. If the TV suddenly decides turn itself on in the middle of the night and the last input is a loading screen or something with static images, hello screen burn. I mean, I got the extended warranty so I should be good here but its still disconcerting with an item this expensive. Or if it just suddenly shuts itself of it's own volition, is this really a sign of quality? I want to write a rave review here, but I just can't. Granted this could be something that doesn't effect everyone, but I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. Look around and you'll find other people reporting the same issues. So far nothing has technically broken, so I'll leave it at 3 stars. Maybe Sony will be able to fix this in firmware but since this TV is now discontinued, I kinda doubt it.

Thank you for choosing and purchasing Sony A8H Bravia OLED Ultra HD TV.

We regret to hear that you are having issues with your Sony Bravia TV. This is usually not the case with our premium TVs. The current firmware version of our A8H is v6.5042. If your TV is lower than this version, please perform a software update. We also recommend turning on the Automatically check for updates feature of the TV to receive the updates automatically: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00011053. One of the best ways to further isolate these issues is by resetting the TV to factory settings: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00159487.

This OLED was on sale the other day for the 48 hr Black Friday sale and I couldn’t just pass up this deal. I’m so glad I went OLED with how rich and pure the picture is. I was on the fence about a QLED vs OLED, because of the burn ins but slap a geek squad plan on it and you’ll be fine! Sony’s processor, the X1 Ultimate really does put in work and you can tell straight out the gate. The upscaling for SDR looks amazing and the HDR and Dolby Vision will blow you away. The built-in acoustic speakers behind the glass really projects for it to just be tv speakers. I wasn’t too caring about not having a 2.1 HDMI port as I know that even with the next gen gaming no one will really be able to truly game at full 4K @ 120 so that’s why I didn’t go LG (the CX is still a great TV). I personally prefer a better movie picture quality over gaming preferences because I stream movies and shows more than game. Anything you pull up on the screen will make you feel like you’re really there. I may never buy another LED TV again after this. Take the leap and go OLED!
