First of all the TV has some issues with cable TV feeds, There is a bit of pixilation during slow motion replays during sports events and commercials. Three times this week, the apps downloaded from the TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc.) either had no sound or no sound and the picture was jumping all over the screen. Yesterday the power wouldn't turn on the TV. I called the Geek Squad, since I paid for the year round service and a 5 year warranty. The first Agent told me how to fix the issues. When I called today and suggested to another Agent that maybe its just this set and could we exchange it for the same model I was told, "No. Software problems aren't our problem." When I aske who could fix them, I was told, "Nobody. This is very common in the first 3 weeks of Sony products!" If this is the case, shouldn't my Salesman or the first Geek Squad Agent have pointed this out to me? And in selling me on the beauty of Sony's picture, processor and the Geek Squad, shouldn't the fact that software issues that come in this TV are your problem not ours? I'm currently not a happy customer. Have any of you had the above issues with your new A8H? Please let me know. Thanks- Mark P

Had to buy this tv to replace the one that wasn’t (a Vizio that didn’t last 4 years). Setup was a breeze. The picture didn’t require much calibration; it was ready to go out of the box. The picture quality is also unmatched The sound in this tv is pretty exceptional. Certainly not home theater quality but impressive. Have also not observed any lip sync issues

I have it wall mounted in a Sun Room and brightness is fine. The Blacks are Black and the glare is zero. I stream everything, no more cable. I love using only 1 remote for everything and the apps are fast.

There is no evidence of back lighting where the blacks are greyed from being illuminated from behind the image. It’s just stunning I’m docking it a couple points for ease of use because the Mounting holes on the back are too far apart. When I hung the tv on my existing mounting bracket, I could only screw in two of the holes...you could make the argument that this is the fault of the mount as well. Also there are so many more options and menus to play with to fine tune the TVs image...I kinda long for the days when you’d just buy a tv and everything was all set up and looked great. Back when the old trinitrons only has 3 or 4 adjustments (color, brightness, sharpness, etc) now TVs are like computers where you have to set up WiFi, a thousand picture adjustments, calibration with different services, etc, etc. Maybe I’m just getting old

Not sure it is worth the $2k price tag...

I love this tv but I don't feel we are getting the 4k OLED picture as promised. When I try to get the 4k resolution a pop up states HDM1 port does not support this & HDCP 2.2 required for 4k UHD. How is this advertised as 4k tv when port is not here for it? For a $2k TV they should have ports needed to access this. I will say the picture is very nice and does look nicer than our previous TV which was not OLED but was also 1/4 of the price. I also worry about the burn in issue that is quite common with all OLED tv's and from what I have read this is not covered under the warranty so I will be very mad if my $2k tv has a burn in anytime soon and it is not covered. Just be sure to research this issue before buying. So, in summary, I would recommend this TV but only if you get a very good deal and not pay the full asking price. $2k for a tv that might have a burn in on the screen within the first year is ridiculous.

Your home will become the place to watch all the things! My kids’ friends want to hang out at our house all the time now and watch movies or play xbox. The color and picture on this TV is TOO gorgeous! Details are so clear, I love watching it, and I’m not a TV watcher, but now I have turned into a couch potato. I walked past some TVs on sale at another big box store and I could immediately tell the difference between the beautiful picture I am now used to and the crappy picture on their screen. I don’t know the words to tell you details, but trust me, this picture is incredible and you will not want to do anything else except watch your new TV. This is not good for the other aspects of my formerly well rounded life. Now I must get back to my binge watching. Save yourself from a sedentary life, do not buy this TV!

This is my first purchase of a smart tv. I love this Sony 55" OLED tv. The picture is outstanding and Sony is one of the best for quality! I have seen reviews were other people have complained about the screen brightness not being as good compared to other brands. To me there is no issue with there screen brightness. The sound on the tv is pretty good as well. Since the sound on the tv is good, I decided not to buy a optional tv speaker at this time. In the future, I might buy a nice surround sound system. This tv has so much on it in terms of apps and things you can do on it. I am still getting use to all the stuff the tv can do. If you are thinking of getting this tv, you will not be disappointed!

This is literally the best picture I have ever seen right out of the box. The sound is great because the whole screen is a speaker, but if you want a totally immersive experience, I recommend using a sound bar too. That being said, I rarely use my sound bar now. I find myself watching movies or shows that I already watched because the difference is amazing. Even commercials look good. You will not regret this purchase; it’s worth every penny.
