Great pucture and great value forb the money. I bought this tv on sale and could not be happier with the purchase. Olef colors are the best. The remote control is easy to navigate. Just great product overall

sharp as a knife, and twice as pretty really fast software actually useful voice commands. since it uses google, you can slap the keyboard proverbially speaking and voice commands still work tv picture is so vivid i had to upgrade my eyes also best sound i’ve ever heard from a tv without a soundbar/etc.

Everything from the picture quality, to the build quality, to the UI is fantastic. 4k blu ray movies look absolutely stunning with deep rich colors and contrast. The PS5 also looks incredible with the buttery smooth 4k/120hz output. This OLED also comes with Sony’s streaming app called Bravia Core that gives you 10 movie credits to redeem IMAX Enhanced movies or other 4k/HD movies for streaming which is an awesome added bonus. For the sale price, it can’t be beat!

Sony Bravia TVs are in a class by themselves. Picture is very sharp and setup was extremely easy. Especially love the covers that fit over the “jack” openings on the back of the TV to give it a very uncluttered look. The remote could be better. It’s extremely tall and narrow with key placement is a bit wonky. The number keys are placed at the top and the button to enter those keys is further down towards the bottom. All in all, it’s a great TV and we definitely buy again.

Bought this TV for my PS5 and its been great, it really lets the PS5 shine. It does take some setting up but YT helps out with that. If your looking for a TV for gaming I highly recommend this TV, picture quality is great, runs very smooth ( high refresh rate and high FPS), also the design of the TV is breath taking I find myself staring at my TV even when its off.

I did a ton of research starting with CES 2021, and you can likely guess my short list. Full disclosure: the A90J was _not_ atop my list. As the hands-on reviews came out, it became clear that Sony's decision to bond an aluminum heat sink to the panel is a winner. The universal enthusiasm of the reviewers shot the A90J to the top of my list. The A90J is simply exceptional. Ours is located in a room with windows on two sides, and the brightness of the panel is able to deal no problem. Colors are both accurate and have pop. Contrast is absolutely astonishing. Upscaling and other image processing is VERY transparent, which is the highest compliment. Google TV surprised to the upside and is quite easy to use. The remote does the job with aplomb. Absolutely DELIGHTED with the A90J, if you haven't guessed!

I bought this TV a couple of months ago. It’s been AMAZING! The image quality and array of colors is so much better than my old LED TV. Blacks are deep and no terrible blooming. It’s like I’m watching a movie on my iPhone, but at a much bigger scale. Sounds is also surprisingly good for built in speakers. Almost didn’t need to use my soundbar! Great value for the price. Highly recommend.

Everyone talks about the picture. It’s great. Yes. But nobody talks about the SOUND. This TV has an absolutely amazing speaker system and sound processing. For a bedroom, den, or other small to midsized room it means you don’t need a soundbar. Or a sub. Or anything. You can blast the sound and it doesn’t sweat it. It creates a convincing virtual surround system, so convincing that an off screen door opening in a scene makes you check for intruders. And the bass is phenomenal. It can even create a rumble. And you can blast music through it as well. Stream from your phone and turn it up to 11. Maybe not hip hop, but I blasted some very demanding 80s songs (Hazy Shade of Winter, The Rhythm of the Heat) and it sounded as if I had a quality pair of music oriented bookshelf speakers and a good receiver. The lack of need for a sound system makes the Sony OLED a bargain. All the rest of our TVs need a sound system of some kind to really produce good sound. The Sony LCDs we have don’t sound bad and sound better than the other brands we have, but the OLED kicks them to the curb.

This should be a 4 or 4.5 stars rating. I recently bought this TV for my living room, I was previously using an Lg C9. This tv has amazing picture quality, better black levels, amazing color, better HDR implementation, better upscaling , better motion compared to the C9. My main issue is with the android tv OS, it is a cluttered, hitchy, buggy mess which can be frustrating at times. Some users recommend using the apps only optimized mode on the android tv, but voice assistance gets disabled, Why Sony????. Most people will say get an external box but there are other issues beyond that. i keep getting notifications to setup an external device on the HDMI port after i have already done it eg a Fire TV cube. It seems to have a bug which makes the TV forget devices connected to the TV. The TV is very aggressive with its dimming algorithm, 4k HDR Movies start out much brighter than my C9 but after 5 mins they equalize in brightness levels, I have disable energy saving and turned off all power saving options but it appears the Sony is terrified of Burn in even though this TV has a heatsink, you would think Sony would let the TV breathe and flex it muscles. I have a vizio elevate sound bar and its seems to have handshake issues with the A90j TV just like the C9 also. The A90J works better with the vizio elevate and gives me fewer headaches than the C9. I am not sure what is responsible for the sound issues whether its d TV or the soundbar. When you watch a 4k HDR dolby vision movie, the A90j looks incredible. The colors are natural and not over done, images have depth. My jaw dropped when i watched Doctor Strange 2 Imax enhanced on disney+ on the A90j, The C9 wasn't close. I will recommend the TV due to the amazing picture quality but Sony has fix the HDMI port bug and allow the TV to show off the brightness by relaxing the ABL not just in vivid mode. I was looking at getting the Samsung s95b which looked brighter and punchier in the store demo mode at best buy but I just cant do w/o Dolby vision. The ATSC 3.0 tv tuner requires a really strong signal to receive tv channels on an antennae. it tends to buffer for a couple of seconds when i change channels. If you live close to the towers then this shouldn't be a problem. The upscaling is better than the C9 for 1080p content, it is basically tied for 720p and 480p content, there is so much a Tv can do at such low resolution. The A90j is a noticeably better TV than the C9 if anyone was thinking about upgrading. The only 2 areas i prefer the Lg C9 is the web os and Lg is better at recognizing devices connected to the HDMI ports.

I love this TV. I should’ve bought this kind of TV years ago! The color is so vivid and I love watching sports and movies on this TV. So life like.

Probably one of the best Smart TVs I have ever owned. Pretty expensive, but like they say, you get what you pay for. Contrast, colors are almost perfect. No complaints. Up-scaling of 1080 source video to 4K resolution is amazing with no artifacting or pixelating. Also, the sound uses the entire screen on this TV, and makes things sound bold and wonderful. Two thumbs up Sony! No sound bar for me.

I bought this tv when it first came out in around February 2021. I paid over 3k. It was worth every penny. This tv doesnt even need speakers (of course adding speaker makes it even better but sound is still amazing without it). The color is amazing and the black is pitch black. Truly a “best buy” im getting another for my living room

I doubt I"d win $400.00 for my review even thou I love my new Sony Bravia XR TV I got from Best Buy. Been wanting a smart TV for some time to upgrade. The Color is so much better sharper picture for sure . Of course I have Geek Squad service for any issues. They always come in handy. I have their service for all my electronics excellent plan to have always

Great resolution, colors, quality, sleek/modern/beautiful design. Luckily, Got it on sale for $999 one week after Memorial Day. This tv should be on a TV table/console, NOT on the wall, because of the beautiful/sleek design. As someone commented on the reviews: "I find myself staring at my TV even when its off.", I do the same was well, LOL.

The Sony BRAVIA XR A90J Series OLED is magnificent the sound that comes out of the TV is theater quality, you may not need a sound bar. The picture quality and color are excellent. We love the TV remote it has a lot of options and lights up in a dark room when you touch it. It also works great with our DirecTV cable

Incredible picture quality, some issues with features though. eARC doesn't function as it should, and VRR doesn't look to be coming any time soon. I love how this TV looks though. Sleek design, thin bezel, well put-together stands. The OLED is bright, movies look better than I've ever seen them before. Gaming on this TV is a dream.

I have had the TV for two days. I replaced a Sony X950G that Best Buy replaced via the Geek Squad protection plan with the A90J. In short simply amazing. I thought my X950G had a great picture, but OLED blows it out of the water. The OLED does not get as bright, but its not an issue for me. The infinite contrast ratio for Oled makes dark scenes come alive. You see so much shadow detail that you might miss on an LCD TV. I re-watched the movie Gravity and the TV handled the scene with Sandra Bullock spinning head over heels in space with aplomb. The TV has no issues with blooming or dirty screen effect as you might see on an LCD. Color accuracy out of the box looks pretty good. On the advice of various reviewers out there, I changed the picture type to expert1 and tweaked the motion settings. The picture looks great and there is no judder or stutter. Also no soap opera effect from over enhancement of the picture. I Changed advanced color settings to use BT2020 as well. This TV upscales like a beast. We watched The Waltons on IMDBtv and for a show made in the 1970's the picture is impressive. The sound from this TV is impressive as well. I have the TV set up using my Onkyo surround receiver but it sounds great on its own. Natively the TV has nice rich bass and the Acoustic Surface Audio works really well. It sounds so good I am now using the TV as my center channel when I use the surround amplifier. The jury is still out on Google TV. The interface is a bit different from Android TV I used on my X950G. I hope Google TV is more stable. I had plenty of lock ups and random reboots from my old TV. One tip I did learn for those that want to connect their TV via ethernet cable. Purchase a USB to ethernet adaptor and use the TV's USB 3.1 port. This overcomes the limitation of using the TV's 10/100 ethernet port. I am now getting upload and download speeds close to the 1 gb I pay for. I assume the WIFI connection would be faster than the 10/100 ethernet port. I chose the ethernet adaptor as I prefer the stability of the wired connection. In summary so far I am amazed by this TV. The picture and sound are excellent. I have not tried gaming on it. This TV is impressive all around. It is perfect for what we use it for. I am a little concerned with image retention and burn in, but have decided to go for the OLED experience anyway. This TV does have the improved OLED panel with the heat sink allowing Sony to drive the panel a bit harder and reducing the risk of burn in. The TV is expensive, but its worth the money.
