Goodbye plasma, hello OLED!

Spent endless hours comparing this with comparable models from LG and Samsung and am happy with the decision. The A75L uses the same panel as the A80L, but has inferior sound quality and no adjustable stand - two things that I don't need. Zero complaints regardless of content being displayed.

I picked this brand and line because of the quality and the OLED screen. The audio from the tv is pretty good as well I would say capable of not needing any additional audio equipment. We really like it and would definitely recommend it. This tv is very responsive while gaming as well. There are some TVs that are less money but again I have trust in the Bravia line quality.

However, this thing is a HUGE upgrade. At this point, we all know that OLED screens are great for contrast and true black levels, and that've very true with this model. However, it's also pretty commonly known that they don't put out as much light and therefor aren't a great choice for brighter rooms. I have 1 window in my living room, and, even with blinds and curtains closed, have to pretty much max out the brightness and disable the energy saving features of the TV to get the picture visible the way I like it on a Saturday afternoon, just from the light leaking around the window into the room. So, make sure you plan on putting this in a TV where you can cut out almost all forms of light. The thing that has surprised me the most with this TV is that it is a true 120Hz display. It also has a response time of like, <3ms I believe. It also is Gsync compatible... Yeah, this thing is basically a 65" monitor for me to game on with my 4090 equipped PC! I was already happy with the purchase before realizing this - now I'm over the moon

Amazing TV

I have been extremely happy with the purchase. The picture quality is amazing and it has all of the features we need. The only downside is that the built-in speakers are not the greatest but we knew that going in because we exclusively use our home theater system. If you're looking to use built-in speakers the the A80 or higher might be the right choice. Other than that this TV is perfect!

Stay away from Best Buy, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE/HELP

I went into Encinitas BB to purchase this TV and another Sony 65" Bravo. I explained that I needed them by a certain date and they assured me they would arrive prior. They didn't...tried to remedy through BB and it was one nightmare encounter after another. No customer service. Got same TV through Amazon at better price and NO problem. BB lost me forever as a customer. TV is fine, BB is NOT. Go elselwhere

The brightness and color quality is very good. We enhanced the sound quality with a Sonos sound bar. The Geek Squad helped us install and set up our new TV which was well worth the investment.

Very dynamic with the different picture modes for different uses. Love having different HDMI ports for 4K 120Hz devices and some that support older devices. Haven’t taken advantage of the built in software as much, but the few minutes I’ve spent navigating the home menu has been fast and responsive.

When friends come over, they are blown away at how beautiful the picture is. The price is COMPLETELY fair for the quality you get with the OLED display. The only reason it is four stars is that the user interface is so bogged down with ads. I would recommend buying an AppleTV to pair with this beautiful masterpiece. Would buy again!

First ever OLED TV after waiting years for prices to drop and couldn't be happier! Pairs incredibly well with my PS5 and is much quicker with its UI then previous sets. Only downside is that I will never be able to go back to a traditional panel again.

Peak brightness a bit lower than comparable OLEDs, ideal for dimmer rooms Another minor note with Ps5, switching between 60hz and 120hz content causes some temporary flickering.

First OLED TV

We decided to take a chance on OLED to what it has to offer. The screen isn't incredibly bright, but it's good. The blacks are really black and there's none of the artifacting in dark scenes that were present on our old unit. We were considering getting a sound bar, but we think the TV sounds great as-is. Google TV takes some getting used coming from a Roku TV. The TV comes installed with a lot of bloat apps. I haven't looked into whether they can be deleted, but I assume they can.

Sony Bravia XR A75l Oled

My intentions was to buy the Sony Bravia 3 on an open box deal and found out they had a Sony Bravia XR A75l Oled in an open box in excellent condition deal. This tv is perfect for the PS5 as it’s 4k and 120 hz. The set up was quick and easy. I like to run the Ethernet for my connection even though the route is right next to it. I’ve been streaming Netflix 4k, Amazon Prime 4k and Disney 4k. The only issuee is some lag coming from Disney. I will troubleshoot later by switching wifi on or bluetooth off. Some complaints I’ve heard is the screen is too dark but I have it in a well lit area that has blackout curtains. I feel the best picture setting is custom or auto select to dolby picture and dolby audio depends on what you’re streaming. Doesn’t need a soundbar but I will pick one up at some point.

I own a high end samsung oled as well. I will say it is not as bright as the samsung and it does better in a dark room. I have this set up in my game/media room with blackouts. Value purchase for a Sony

I’ve always bought Sony for my AV home theater and this time it was to upgrade to 4K. I wanted to upgrade to an 8k tv but it was out of my budget. I did my research and found this model is very similar to the BRAVIA XR Class A80L. The major differences was the built in sound speakers (A80L had higher wattage), the stand/legs (A80L can be placed in 2 ways), size (A80L comes up to 83 inches I think) and price (the 65 inch was $200 less than its A80L counterpart). I chose this model because I’m using my Sony receiver to power my speakers so I really don’t need the (A80L wattage difference) and wall mounted it (so the tv stand isn’t a deal breaker). Another thing I like about this tv was its connectivity to other Sony devices such as the PlayStation 5 and my receiver.
