I love this product, it is much more than I thought it would be. I use it every time I turn on the TV. The sound of the TV is so much better through this receiver, its unbelievable. Blu-ray movies are so much better. My music sounds much better. I have a 5 speaker set-up in my front room and I spend too much time listening to it. Thank You.

I bought this one because of the second room option that it has. The setup was easier than any previous receiver i have owned.

Required Geek Squad technical support ($149.99 1x installation). - Requires most every device be run from the back of the receiver rather than the TV. - Requires approx 6 HDMI cables for a set-up of (4K UHD 3D TV, Roku, PS4, Xbox One, Blu-Ray). - This receiver only has 1 hdcp compliant hdmi port. That is an issue if you plan on buying a 4K streamer, bluray player, etc.

Geek Squad installed - very customer focused. He had to run the wire through the wall and left the area immaculate!

The STRDN860 performs great and provides a stunning array of listening options from which to choose to give you the room effect you are looking for. The depth of sound moving from a 5.1 system to this 7.2 is incredible. Be prepared for some changes with the newer amps however. Input is centered around HDMI connectivity. There are plenty of them (5). However, for those older peripheral devices you have there are few composite inputs (2) and if you still have records and a phonograph, good luck, there is no phono input. I was able to find a Composite to HDMI converter at a company in China for under $20 dollars and it works great to connect the old VCR to the system. Have not yet found a pre-amp of size and price to connect the turntable. In short, you will have to make come compromises but the rewards in sound quality and variations will be worth it.

Better than my previous reliever from Sony. I have always liked my purchases from Best Buy over the years.

We needed a new receiver to upgrade our 10-year old Sony and this more than met our expectations for our small media room. Sounds are very full and crisp. We use the pass-through HDMI for our Roku and DVD player and have had no issues.

Strong amp with lots of power and all the modern day bells and whistles you would want. Loved the sale price at Best Buy making it a no brainer for those looking for options and power for a home entertainment system.

Good, but not as good as I had expected for the money I paid for it

I bought to to replace my pioneer Reciever which was starting to have issues. This one has less sound field options but is simpler to use. Nice on screen graphics, way better then the Pipneer. Overall a very good Reciever.

We had and loved our Sony receiver. During a move we couldn't find it. Still no luck after looking in every box so we decided to get a new one. This Sony is so much better. Should have purchased much sooner.

Very nice unit and easy to set up. with new products I have spent a bit of time online reviewing the setup information. what I do not care for in all the units is the black fronts. I got old and very hard to see.
