It’s a good screen and love the way it looks only problem is that sometimes it doesn’t want to connect but that’s like a 5 minute problem and it doesn’t happen often at all

Needed new Car Stereo and backup Camera for 2007 Truck. Install was supposed to take 4 1/2 hours. Ralph at Mueller Rd Best Buy got done in 2 hours. Perfect clean install. Sony receiver is great, Rear view camera is awesome - better than wife's new Suburban. Great job to Ralph the Installer, who was amazing.

So i needed to upgrade my 2014 toyota fj cruiser radio. Because the bluetooth set up was a nightmare. Especially on long road trips. Everytime you turned the suv off you had to set everything back up. I like to listen to books and podcasts while i drive to make the time pass faster and it was a massive pain in the butt.
I settled on this sony radio so far its ony had a few hiccups. It takes a minute to paur to phone and its frozen once so far. But still easier than factory radio. I like that it has my audio books ready togo and i can see my gps on the screen.
Its decent for the price
Hi MarioC, Thanks for the 5-star rating! We're glad you like your new car media player. Enjoy and thanks for choosing Sony. -Craig

This replaced my factory am/fm radio in my Jeep Wrangler, so anything would have been an upgrade. But I am really happy with this. Everything worked flawlessly. I can't say enough good things about it.
Hi SteveK, awesome! We're truly delighted to to learn that you are pleased with the outstanding installation and service you received. Thank you for choosing Sony! - Romeo

Installed in a 2014 Explorer and it works and looks good. Enjoy the wireless feature of the radio and works great with my android phone. I added the backup camera and the quality is also good.

While it can do a lot more, I mainly chose it for backup camera input and wireless apple carplay for navigation, phone calls and text messages. It is responsive without any significant delays both to touch inputs or voice commands. I had it hooked up to my existing Alpine speakers and subwoofer in my Jeep Wrangler 2015. Sound output is good for music. Comes with microphone for voice control and works well with Siri. One issue is the screen which appears fine when you look at it straight ahead in the store display but it appears a little fuzzy when you look at it from an angle from the driver seat.

Best Car Stereo Android Auto unit I've owned. Pro's very fast and reliable, and most of all quality Audio.. Cons Screen brightness, and to be picky i do not like that i can change navigation voice with the same buttons as Volume, it does make it easy but also a pain, needs another step to keep separate so im not constantly changing on accident. I'm a Delivery driver so i use this all day, everyday just about. Bluetooth reaches about 30-60ft before losing connection to phone, but comes right back pretty quickly. So I've been really happy with this unit, Honestly great buy for what it does despite maybe being a little outdated. But for the money and what's available for a great reliable double din unit, def a good choice.
We’re elated to hear that the XAVAX4000 has been a reliable and high-quality companion for your daily work as a delivery driver. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the screen brightness and the shared navigation and volume controls. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will share it with our team to help improve future designs. It’s encouraging to know that despite these challenges, the unit continues to deliver excellent audio performance and dependable Bluetooth connectivity. We truly appreciate your thoughtful comments and your trust in Sony.
Best regards, -Fred

Seems to be the only option I could find for Wireless Android Auto with physical volume buttons within its price range. Works better than expected. Only few draw backs are the screen is not capacitive touch (still very responsive though) and it's not an AMOLED screen therefore the brightness may be an issue for some installation layouts with the sun washing the screen visibility. The plus side to this though is there are no fingerprints or smudges on screen at all. Overall, for my installation, very pleased with product.
We’re excited to hear that the XAVAX4000 surpassed your expectations for Wireless Android Auto with physical volume buttons in its price range, and that you’re very pleased with it in your installation. We appreciate you noting the responsive non-capacitive screen and how the non‑AMOLED display can affect brightness in some layouts, while also preventing fingerprints and smudges—thanks for sharing such thoughtful, balanced feedback.
Best regards, -Fred

Love the instant connection once i get in my car and thats its anti glare. Only 2 cons with this radio is the slight lag when changing songs and the incompatability with my steering wheel control. Aside from that, i love it!

Good, but not perfect by any means. Sounds good - - not great. Sound on Android Auto tends to drop out some depending on the weather and where I happen to be driving at the time. My main issue is that the screen really leaves much to be desired. It's supposed to be an anti-glare screen - - but when sunlight hits it tends to wash out the entire screen. I would rather have a regular screen, I think - - it's quite a problem when using the backup camera as it renders it almost useless. Again, a decent unit with some issues.

Overall Ok system. it does exactly what i need it to do. sound and power and great as a replacement for stock stereos that have dual din and no Android auto or Car Play options. but there are probably better options for a lower price. i was too lazy to look, and had a more expensive is better. plus i took the word of the Install tech.
Pros:
easy to use.
lots of eq customizing
Wireless Android Auto and Carplay
Wired USB-C conection
SXM radio ready
Cons:
- No Loud Button,
- Wireless connection is not consistent (Connects a majority of the time but there are times where i have to turn the truck of completely for 10 seconds and restart so that the Deck shuts off long enough to repair the connection. this is only for inital connections and not during driving)
- no Remote included
- For custom Setup, an amp is needed even for mids and highs.
