Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the picture quality, calling it amazing. They also appreciate the large screen size, easy setup, and affordable price. While most customers are pleased with their purchase, a few have concerns about the remote control being difficult to use, the lack of warranty for pixel issues, the TV's weight, and the flimsy stand.

Bought this for 1999 at Black Friday - such an incredible price! And the bright colorful picture is incredible - with the XBox X and some 4K movies like Mad Max to show it off, just wow! You'll spend hours just using the youtube app watching 4k nature streams - and the built in Google Assistant that you can talk to through the microphone in the remote is great. So many great features - the only downside is the edge lighting - at 75 inches, it is noticeable sometimes in dark scenes that the upper left corner gets lit up and looks gray instead of jet black, probably worse than any TV I've had, but at this size you'd have to pay 5000 or more to get rid of that problem and most of the time it is not an issue

Highly recommend. Great picture, easy to set up. The number of HDMI ports is amazing. We have our cable box and three gaming systems hooked up to it.

Purchased TV Thanksgiving Day great deal. Set up was a breeze. Picture excellent. Replaced a 55- inch plasma 3D what a huge difference. The sales staff at Best Buy have excellent product knowledge.

I've been debating buying a new TV for months, couldn't decide between OLED or "Quantum Dot", reminds me of the plasma vs LED debate back in the day. I didn't like what I read about OLED's and the unresolved burn in issues, also didn't like the reviews for the "Quantum Dot" when it came to how blacks were displayed. A BB salesman mentioned this tv to me while I was in the store looking at the various display. I wanted the best 75" TV that I could afford and he pointed out a couple of differences between this Sony tv and the others, primarily the upscaling capabilities and motion blur that this tv's processor was above average at producing. So I pulled the trigger and bought the 75". I am so happy I did. The picture is awesome even with Spectrum Cable's direct feed. The upscaling is excellent, it's not 4k but it's still very nice. As far as I know Spectrum does not broadcast anything in 4k, don't think any company does. Still, this tv does an excellent job with that. Some commercials seem to be in 4k (I doubt they are) but the colors just "pop"! I've got a 4k player hooked to it and the picture rocks! I'm very happy with this tv so far, hopefully nothing goes wrong with it. I live in a small house with a combined living room/dining room. It's a fairly well lit room with 3 windows that allow quite a bit of light. The worst thing I can say is that I can see the blinds reflected on the screen depending on what time it is. That's to be expected from any LED tv. That being said I am very happy with this purchase. I think this is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a great tv while still debating "OLED" vs "Quantum Dot". Save your money until those two technologies figure it out. This is an excellent TV.

Our 75" Sony is wonderful. Images are sharp and crisp, colors are bright. The only thing missing is a good tutorial on how to access and use all the features of the TV and sound bar. Best TV yet.

This TV was great, picture quality wise, smart tv was 9/10 easy to use, voice search worked well, all the things that you'd want to work on this did. And then right around the year and a half mark the power started acting weird, like the TV wouldn't turn on and I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get the picture to come on, only the light at the bottom would come on. It then worked, so I didn't think much of it. Then a few months after that it happened again, and a few months after that it would start to lock up on the start up screen and had a lot more "booting" problems, since these TV's are basically computers now. Then the wifi adapter in the TV went out around the two year mark, and then two years and two months total after purchase, we had it serviced and he turned it on to a blank screen with lines through it. It went out as soon as the agent got there (thank god we had 5 year protection plan). The proceeded to have to come back every week for 3 weeks to try 3 or 4 different main boards that all had problems or didn't work or software wasn't compatible; now we're getting another TV installed (the 900 series upgrade from this), but I just hope it lasts longer than this model did...

The picture quality is far better than I thought it would even be for a mid grade level tv at an amazing price. I would pay this price three times for this tv. Only bummer for me is that I am not a super techy person and being a smart tv and such needs WiFi and passwords and connections and such that I was not used to. Older buyers would have issues I believe but that is not the 75” 4K UHD demo here and I get that. Very easy hookup and again the picture is beyond belief. Also once I got thru all the connections and realized that my WiFi was down at one point and so my tv wasn’t working well, it has been simple to operate and remote is very easy to use also.

Compared to other models in its price range and screen size, I think this is about the best out there. I compared this Sony model to comparable Samsung and LG products. The black level performance of the LG was inferior to both the Sony and Samsung and the accuracy of the picture quality - both before and after calibration - of the Sony edged out the Samsung, although not by much. However, the build quality, feature set, design and operation of the Sony was preferable over the Samsung, and it was slightly less expensive, too. Easily mounts to wall with wall bracket and sits soundly on top of furniture with the included stand. However, TVs this large and this thin seems to be a bit fragile to me so I prefer the wall mount configuration. My only complaint picture quality-wise would be that, during scenes of extreme contrast like end credits with a black screen and white lettering, the LCD backlight can every so slightly be seen operating. This is a minor complaint that most TVs in this price range exhibit and that most viewers won't notice. For "perfect" backlight operation, step up to the Sony 900 series or buy a display with OLED. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this TV and would buy it again.

For a 75" TV, the price point seemed good relative to others in this category. Not the top of the line XBR but the picture is great for our needs and the size is perfect.

The reason I chose 4 stars rather then 5 is because there are top of the line tv's that have MUCH better video quality then this tv. For the price this tv is very good. The 4k is on par with the latest technology. The use of you phone as a remote control is an awesome feature.

This 75" Sony XBR75X850E Ultra HD TV is a nice upgrade from our previous 70" Sharp HDTV. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Sony was extremely close to being perfectly calibrated right out of the box with very few adjustments needed. This saved a lot of time setting up the TV for use. Other TV's we have owned required extensive adjustment in many areas to achieve the best possible picture. The Sony looks to be spot on right out of the box, so even someone who is not familiar with TV calibration will be enjoying near perfect color quality. A huge plus for the model.
