Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the picture quality, calling it amazing. They also appreciate the large screen size, easy setup, and affordable price. While most customers are pleased with their purchase, a few have concerns about the remote control being difficult to use, the lack of warranty for pixel issues, the TV's weight, and the flimsy stand.

Not enough TV nor software for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Android TV software may be OK if you're not a cord cutter, but for me, the importance lies in NEtflix, Hulu, and Amazon. None of these can be streamed without hiccups, including audio cut-outs, constant reboots, and slow menu options. I have the one ARC heading into an Onkyo amplifier for 7.1 surround and it's constantly messing up the Playstation and Apple TVs connected to other ports. Bad firmware as well as sketchy software. Add to that the cheap one-port-only HDMI with ARC and you've got a $1000 set in a $2000 box, It was the third I tried, after LG and Samsung, and was better than the sub-$2000 versions of those sets, but I wish I could return this one as well.

Big nice image
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for quite some time for more Oled brands to come out and when Sony, my favorite TV brand launched their Oled, I could not believe the price tag, it is just too much money for a TV. I can afford it but would never spend so much on a TV. During a visit to best buy, I saw this Sony 75" TV and it immediately caught my attention, mainly when watching this 75" right next to another Sony higher end 4K and LG's Oled both 65". The picture and size blew me away. Is Oled still at the top? Yes definitely, however LCDs are getting pretty darn close. You have to look for the differences, mainly when watching regular content, instead of the stunning marketing images that stores display. I compared these 3 TVs for quite some time and went back to the store a couple more times before pulling the trigger. The colors on this TV are just incredible, so well balanced and precise with dark and even black level. The 75" size is just gorgeous and so much bigger compared to a 65". After installing it at home and watching content from various sources I couldn't be happier. This TV does a spectacular job upscaling everything. If a movie was made with high quality it really shines and looks 4K. I can immediately tell the difference between a high quality movie vs a production that is not top notch. This was not so noticeable on my previous TV. The movies and TV shows look crisp, clear and colorful. The HDR, when available, just brings real life out of the images, making a big difference from non HDR content, is so vivid looking that it makes more realistic than 3D, in my opinion. My previous TV has 3D and we used to watch all movies at the theater in 3D for a while, but we care less for it nowadays. I'm really looking forward for more HDR to become available. The size, o man, it's a big difference from my Sony 65" 1080P, awakening the movie theater feel at home. Sony just can't be beat with the colors, picture accuracy and vivid details. The TV also greatly integrates with the receiver, I no longer have issues with the TV sometimes not switching to external speakers. The only part that I found weak was the Smart TV. The Android interface is not user friendly, can't be customized and is pretty slow. The picture on Amazon video was of lowest quality. I care less for it since all my streaming is done with the XBox that provides highest picture and sound quality and sometimes Apple TV. I compared streaming Netflix on both, Smart TV and XBox, and everything was just so much better coming from the X Box. My family room is pretty wide and the image degradation off center is negligible, at least in mine and my wife's opinion, being definitely less noticeable than the previois TV. The price benefit of this TV, mainly now that it is on sale for less than 2,600, makes it a great bang for the buck. The bigger size, cristal clear picture, color accuracy, nice black level and build quality just sold me over a smaller Oled. For all of us, kids included, the bigger is really better in this case.

RETURNED `
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this 3 of these TVs for conference rooms. The features to share WIndows10 PC screens wirelessly does not work. When it does work the lag is unusable after about 2 minutes. We spent at least 5 hours on the phone with Sony and Best Buy to address the problem. Geek Squad is coming out next week with replacement Samsung TVs that work.

Good Product / Great Company
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have to start out by saying that I have been touting Sony Bravia TVs for going on 10 years now. I still have a 2006 LCD Bravia in my family room that has never given me an ounce of trouble. In that same time frame, I have replaced 2 Samsung TVs and an LG. Now fast forward to this 4K TV. I purchased 2 TVs from Magnolia over a year ago (both 4K / one 65" the other this one). After 14 months I had the dreaded vertical lines occur in this 800 series screen. It was out of warranty of course so I called the local authorized repair shop who came over and diagnosed a bad LCD which meant dead TV. I contacted Sony customer service and explained the situation in hopes that they would give me a discount on a new TV. After a couple of back-and-forth emails, they agreed to completely replace my 850 with a 900 (since the 800s were no longer being made). I have to tell you that very rarely do companies exceed my expectations but in this case Sony did just that. I am truly appreciative of their customer service and aside from this one incident, excellent products. PS - I've had several conversations with Tech / TV Geeks about these new generation TVs and all of them have told me, it is well worth the money to get the extended service plans. TV Manufacturers no longer stock parts (New models are released so fast) so they are less likely to repair and the only other option is to send you a refurb or new TV (depending on the failed part).

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this TV and had it installed on May 4th, on May 22 it stopped working. It would not turn on at all. The worse part is hearing that you have to go through Sony manufacture to have it fix.

Nice set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is my take, a little background, I purchased a 55" OLED last year so I have a pretty good perspective on the potential of TV tech. The 850E puts out a good picture when full screen. The demos in the store between the different Sony models run full screen (at least the ones I saw). Under this circumstance you will see virtually no difference between the sets in the showroom. When switching scenes or watching something with black bars, that is where the 850E falls a bit behind. I was unwilling to pay $800 more to upgrade to the 900E since the 850E is not my primary TV (it is in my basement for watching sports, gaming, casual watching, and some movies). For me it works perfect, the picture is plenty bright and the picture is very good with good motion handling. <-- better than the OLED, which is the LG version. My plan is to add bias lighting to bump up apparent contrast and honestly add a cool factor. I am satisfied with the set, didn't want to risk burn in with an OLED (not sure if it is a major concern but has been an issue for some) but I will revisit OLED in 5 or so years for my basement to see if the burn in issue goes away and the prices come down. Since this TV is a weekend TV I can easily live with the limitations since it really does have a nice picture that most will enjoy!

Great TV for gaming or TV/movies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had mine a few days now, and I'm really blown away! I was debating between the 850 and 900, but even side-by-side in the store there was very little difference (definitely not $800 difference in my opinion) and I'm pretty picky about these things. Getting the PS4 Pro to work in 4K with HDR took some fiddling with the input settings (make sure it's set to "Enhanced"). The picture is stellar with 4K sources from YouTube, BluRay, & Netflix. I watched football on Sunday in 1080p and it scales well. Lower res content still looks decent as well.

Great image heart touching colors, medium budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would highly recommend this TV for home theater lovers who has large TV room. I have very large TV room and I was looking for 75 inch TV with most features included. I have no regret that my choice picked to 75X850e it's amazing screen images with so heart touching colors. If you are buying 75 inch TV make sure you get better quality screen images so that your SD or HD videos don't get fuzzy or blur and features that make this TV so good is high dynamic range with image upscaling and sony 4k processor. OLEDs are always superior than LEDs but this sony TV is what you can consider closer to OLED. 75inch OLEDs cost than $10000. Of-course you can buy 75X900e with back-light LED to get better dark scenes but personally i think in real world scenes it's not required to pay 500 to 800 more. You can enjoy this TV without noticing any big difference on dark scenes with edge lit LED.
