The Sony A9G has an extremely amazing picture! As with all OLED TVs the black levels are nothing short of amazing. I replaced a Samsung 9800 78inch with the 77inch Sony. The picture on the Samsung was good, but the black levels are not in the same league with the Sony OLED! The colors are also more accurate, as is the motion on fast moving scenes! In other words the OLED tv blows any LED tv out of the water. If you want the best picture available, right now it is the OLED tv period!!

I have the TV for about 3 weeks now. The TV is quite thin and wall mounted. The picture quality is excellent, even in a brightly lit room. I find the brightness just fine on this set. I cannot speak on its HDR performance because I cannot tell unless I have another display next to it. The picture is very clear on 4K medium. I do not game on it so I cannot speak to that. The upscale is pretty good from 1080p content. Its passable for standard definition, but I have yet to see a set that displays that type of content well.
The set's sound system is good once you crank up the volume to 50+%. Below that, its hard to hear. With that said, I wound up getting a surround sound system since I wanted to experience Dolby Atmos.
The TV is basically an Android device. Its not a bad thing. I find it useful for streaming and other applications. However, I have to restart the TV a few times when Youtube would not play any more. This is a bit annoying, but the trade off is fair. Perhaps with a few additional updates, this will resolve itself. Overall, streaming apps are very clear, especially on Youtube and Netflix. It was surprisingly great quality so definitely pleased with that. You will want to disable Chrome cast as it is by default not secure. My TV was turned on when a neighbor accidentally cast their laptop screen to it. Also, its best if you have a Google account to make setup easy.
Navigating the menu is pretty straight forward. I have no issues with it. The remote has a voice assistance that will search the internet and other applications and it works pretty well.
Overall the TV was well worth it. I do not worry about burn in as that can be fixed with the utility that comes with it. At this stage, no issues on that front. I am pleased with my purchase. You definitely will want to get a 4K Blu Ray player with 4K content. It will blow you away. I recommend the Planet Earth series to experience what this TV is capable of.

This TV is super thin, amazing quality, great color. Apps are pretty easy to install, don't NEED a streaming device unless you want some super exclusive app. Has built in Chrome cast and has Google voice assist to search as well. It is pricey but the picture and features are the best (definitely better than my Samsung tv). For the sound, it is pretty good considering most tvs have mediocre built in sound, still probably best to go with a sound system over a sound bar if you have a larger room.

I have been shopping for a while and was looking the more from a 65" to a 75". I also had been considering moving from LED to OLED. This model's picture is amazing and absolutely idea if you a movie buff. The difference between LED and OLED is night and day. Easy to set up and very intuitive. You could pay someone to come a calibrate it but there are videos available that will help you get a decent picture if you don't want to fork over those dollars. Great purchase.

This TV is great. I had the Geek Squad install / mount it and it has been providing great picture quality for about 2 months now. The only thing I did not know prior to purchasing is that it did not have the ATT streaming app. To get around this we simply just added a Roku stick so not there are no issues. TV has great color. I cannot speak to how it sounds as I have SONOS speakers added to have the best sound quality, or at least in my opinion.

The quality of picture and sound on this TV are TOP NOTCH. I had spent a lot of time looking at different TVs on the market, and even though this was more expensive than a lot the other 4K TV options out there, this one is well worth the extra expense. This is my second Sony Bravia OLED purchase, and likely not my last. I don't regret it and you won't either!

This tv is well worth the cost. The colors and blacks are vivid and the contrast is wonderful. You can tell just by looking at the screen the superiority this tv holds over the other just in the definition alone. Movie night has never been so incredible. I recommend getting the room as dark as possible to Get the most out of the television but the definition stands out I. A well lit room as well. I am one satisfied customer!

I had my eye on a Sony Oled for a couple of years. When ever I got a chance I would go to Bestbuy just to see the Sony Oled sets. Finally I got my 77 inch Sony Oled set and it didn't disappoint. The picture was Fantastic! I love the deep blacks and contract and the 4k movies are OUT OF SITE!.

The picture is amazing! I had a projector (JVC) and replaced it with this OLED. Just had to move my seating 4 feet closer to get a similar experience. For me the black levels, contrast and HDR performance is worth the trade off in size, for my completely light controlled theater room. Also, it may be a 2019 model, but mine was manufactured Sep 2020 and cost have as much as when it was new!

My Sony 77" A9G is great. Did a lot of research looking for a TV, read reviews to get idea of several TV brands before going to Best Buy so pretty much knew what I wanted, just needed to see TV in-person before buying. Got mine on sale so great value for the price.
Picture quality looks good even with satellite quality. I don't have 4K media yet but the up-scaler in the TV makes picture quality look better than old 1080p TV even with non-4K signal. Blu-rays look great but sure 4k Blu-ray medial would really look amazing. Don't have high internet bandwidth living in rural area so have not seen 4K streaming content. I live outside of Best Buy's delivery area so had to use utility trailer to bring home. Have not fine tuned the picture yet but still looks great out of the box.
Have not tested TV sound as I have surround sound system, but cool idea to have the TV be able to connect to receiver as center channel.
TV sits flush with stand on the cabinet so satellite receiver has to be in cabinet or off to the side/on an end table. No room for a sound bar under TV on the cabinet.
Overall really like this TV, only had for a few months but it is doing well. There are many features I have not looked into yet, but have not needed for my setup. So far I got a good TV unit as Sony has good quality. OLED panel is made by same manufacturer for Sony and LG, just both have different image processing and different Android version.

First Sony TV, have been looking at OLED for a long time and it was a toss up between the Sony A9G or the LG CX, spent hours of researching and decided on the A9G , on paper the CX is the winner hands down but when compared side by side I honestly felt Sony had a smother, more vibrant accurate color picture, and felt the overall design is better, felt and looked premium,

After studying and reviewing TVs currently on the market we decided on the SONY 77 BRAVIA OLED 4K. Hands down the best picture. Watching this tv is a joy. Never noticed things going on in the background but this tv is sooo good you see the entire scene. it’s is a little pricy over other TVs but we got it on sale and are very glad we took the steps to purchase it!

Fantastic 77" OLED TV - Unbeatable Picture Quality

Absolutely fantastic picture quality. I have this and an LG CX 55" and to the average and even expert consumer, there is not discernable difference between the two. The sound is also top notch coming out of this TV, but I have this connected to my Sonos Arc + surround system so it's a mute point, but still worth mentioning if you decide to only use the speakers on this TV.
One drawback is that this TV (if using the provided stand and not wall mounting it) is very awkward, heavy, and difficult to set up due to the extremely low stand and it being an OLED TV -- display is extremely thin and you do not want to hold or put a lot of pressure on the display when unboxing it and moving it around which does not leave you a lot of space to grip the TV and steady it. Since I am using the Sonos Arc sound bar, the Arc actually blocks a small portion of the bottom of the TV because of how low the stand is so I had to prop up the TV. It's an annoyance but not a big deal. I ended up purchasing 2 Ikea "LACK" small wall shelves to raise the TV up on my stand. This also provides a channel for the Sonos Arc HDMI and power cables to run underneath the TV (between the two shelves) which provides a cord-free aesthetic.
Purchased around Black Friday 2020, I felt $3299 was a fantastic price for this 77" Sony OLED.

It has the deepest blacks and richest colors on the market. OLED Sony Master series 77" screen a huge beast that looks amazing on the wall. We now have movie night with friends twice a month. The only thing I don't like is that you can't broadcast to the built in chromecast. Hopefully that will be fixed in an update.

The colors, clarity, black...you name it, this Sony - 77" Class A9G MASTER Series OLED 4K TV is at the front of the line up. Processor runs Android portion fast, no slow down noticed when scrolling through apps. So far, only negative would be the high price. Since we don't go to the movies and watch everything at home, this was a great entertainment investment.

This TV is amazing. It has an unbelievable picture and the sound from the TV without a sound bar is still very good. The apps on this smart TV are easy to install and easy to use along with many other features that this TV has. There are many different settings and options available depending on what you’re watching or listening to. I definitely recommend this TV.

Fantastic 77 inch Tv. First I have been a fan of Sony, I have had there TVs for many years. Even had some of there Trintron sets. Loved them and considered them state of the art. This new one has excellent contrast, excellent black , low reflection on sunny days and an fantastic angle of view. I don’t regret this purchase for a minute. Love it

I've had this TV for a year now and every time I watch a movie on it either digitally streamed or from the player I can't believe the quality of it. This tv has the black depths of a plasma with clarity that far surpasses what made plasmas great. I wanted a 85" tv and was going to buy the best that Sony made in 2019 but when I saw this TV's picture next to Sony's best 85" tv I was blown away by the depth of the picture and the colors. The OLED is by far the way to go. I've never seen so much detail in the dark areas of the movies as I do now. If you want the best picture possible you need this TV. Sony didn't even make a change in 2020 and kept this TV at the top of their tier so that says something right there. I've found the 77" was large enough. It would be nice to be larger, but they don't make OLED TV's any larger than 77" currently. Be sure to utilize Dolby Vision as well. I upgraded from a decent 65" Sony 4K tv to this one and it was night and day. Now when you're watching regular TV programming in HD there is no difference in a 4K tv without UHD to this one with all the bells and whistles but pop in a movie and that is where you see the difference. Worth every penny in my opinion.

amazing picture. tv sounds great on its own.is definitely usable if you don't have a sound system. my review may be a little biased cause i got it at a cheap cheap discount. it was replacing a 75' samsung Q900 8k tv that best buy broke smh. but they replaced it with this one. not as bright but blacks as amazing
