The only TV that can beat the X90L in pure picture quality is an OLED — but at 98”, you’d have to spend enough to buy a used luxury SUV to get one. The brightness on this beast is absolutely insane, yet somehow the black levels rival Sony’s own mini-LED models. Motion is smooth, colors are rich, and the sheer immersion of a screen this size is cinematic. If you’re in the market for a true home theater experience and catch this TV on sale, don’t hesitate. Just make sure you have the space — because once it’s in, you won’t want to watch anything else anywhere else.

Traded up from a Hisense 100 inch U8 that wouldn't connect properly to my Denon 3700. This TV is seamless and flawless in almost every way. The upscaling, the brightness, eARC connectivity, sound decoding and ease of use is amazing. I picked it up when it went on sale for 6800 a couple of weeks ago. I cant imagine anyone would be disappointed with this massive beauty.

We have been very happy with the Sony 98" X90L TV to say the least. The picture is amazing. Even older SD DVDs and SD cable TV broadcast look spectacular. Setup and integration with our existing A/V equipment was easy. We recommend getting the Best Buy delivery and setup which was flawless. The TV is massive and needs a sturdy stand to put it on (like we did) if you are not hanging it on a wall. Make sure you consider the clearances of the entire path from front door to where the TV will sit before you consider it. This TV creates a very impressive presence in any room! It's the closest thing you'll get to having a movie theatre in your home.

The best value for 98" TV's. Lots of great features like dolby vision and has a great brightness. Vibrant picture and all you could need for size.

The Sony 98” Bravia exceeds my expectations. Whether you’re looking for a Home Theater or simply to watch local tv, it’s simply a joy pleasure to watch. Its sheer size prompted me to have it installed processionally. The Geek Squad crew did this professionally. They both delivered and installed it in my home exactly as I wanted. Watching tv is now a completely different experience for me!

I originally purchased a TCL 98 inch and the quality was not good at all. It would get stuck in the menu. I would have to unplug it and plug it back in so that it worked. I went back to Best Buy and I upgraded to the Sony 98 inch Beautiful TV. Everything works perfect perfectly I recommended.

Pull the trigger and get it. I went from a projector with a 120 inch screen to this. The colors pop the brightness is great.

Great size of TV for the wall and excellent pictures

The entire order process had been a disaster. TV was delivered with guys complaining, then I opened it to find it broken. I should have known because the box was slightly damaged. I'll update review once the new TV arrives in a week and a half (should be rushed for all the inconvenience).

Had an 85" Sony for around five years. Wasn't sure if stepping up would be worth it. Wow, I was totally wrong! The old TV struggled with apps and kind of had a mind of its own with keeping correct colors. Besides being a super great size screen, 98", is perfect to watch a movie or take in a game The easy-to-use screen prompts keep the effort to a minimum. Well worth the price and doesn't disappoint at all. Attaching a Sony sound bar only upgraded it to Cinema sound.

I don’t typically write reviews for products, but this one is worth it. The picture quality is fantastic even with older movies. Sure you are paying a bit extra for buying a Sony tv but the built in processor was worth it for me compared to other manufacturers in the same size category. The color accuracy is on point. If I had any criticism, it would be the built in speakers but if you are seriously looking at buying any tv at this size odds are you were planning on buying a sound bar anyways. I bought Geek Squad’s installation service along with the tv and was so glad that I did. The Geek Squad staff were professional and took care of everything.

I was so torn between all the OLED tvs and the different 98” options. I figured that the processing power of Sony Bravia would be the difference maker. Man was I blown away wirh the quality and color of the image. I didnt have to tweak anything. The Vivid setting renders the most explosive color and brightness you can even imagine. I own an LG 86” OLED which I do love, but this Sony Bravia blows it away. Now granted there is a big price difference, but you will not be disappointed at all.
