I am beyond happy with my purchase! It is the only "beginner" camera that was recommended to me that has intermediate capabilities. I had a professional photographer steer me in this direction and the very knowledgeable Best Buy sales associates words mirrored his. So far I can take amazing photos without knowing how to use the cameras full potential. I look forward to many years of capturing art and priceless memories. I have also found it effortless to find accessories that are compatible. I originally was not going to purchase the 2-lens but am grateful that I did! This is the perfect package!

After a research through the internet and the explanation given by the Best Buy employee, we decided to buy this camera. It is easy to use with a good quality.

Best bang for the buck if you want professional quality photos on a budget. The standard kit lens is ok. The 55-210 one, though, is pretty great. I was able to do some positioning tricks with it to get portraits with solid bokeh. I bought a Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens for the base, and it’s such a glorious combo. Again, this is a fantastic starting point with a lot of room to grow, as you get more experienced.

We’re going on a trip of a lifetime to Alaska and wanted a good camera to take amazing pictures of the wildlife, scenery, beautiful views, the sunset and us. My husband is fully bought in to getting great photos, even though I am the picture queen. With over 80k photos on my iPhone 15 Pro Max alone, he wants pictures with an actual camera. He has read the manual, watches tutorials, and even phoned a photographer friend to teach him all about the settings, shutter speed, lenses, angles and so on. I will say, he has taken some great practice shots so far with everything he has learned by being dedicated to learning this camera and the technical piece of photography. Me on the other hand, I’m a point and shoot kinda photo taker. No fuss, no lessons, just see something and want to take the picture in the moment. My practice photos… not so great. They came out blurry, never captured the true beauty of the sunset, and, in my opinion, was too difficult to be able to just pick up and go. Long story short, our trip is in 2 weeks and I’ll be taking my iPhone as a camera and he will be capturing everything from the our new fancy camera. We couldn’t figure out how to connect it to our WiFi to send pics to our phones so we may need to wait to share the amazing shots of our trip with friends and family upon our return. Also it doesn’t come with a case or portable battery charger. We purchased those separately. We also got an SD card separate, that will hold a bazillion photos and videos. We purchased at The Rim Best Buy and did store pick up. Now that was fast and easy! 4 stars because I’m too lazy to do all the things my husband did to learn this camera and the point and shot (automatic setting) didn’t give me ease of use with the desired outcome I’d hoped for.

This camera is a game changer for my podcast and content creation. The pictures and video are beautiful

I’ve always liked the way Sony cameras feel and work. There are cheaper cameras out there, but if you are thinking about getting into photography seriously, this is a great camera. It is very easy to use and the quality of the photos is great.

So i bought this camera not sure what it was gonna be like im so glad i did it is awesome so worth the money you couldn't ask for a better camera i have 3 kids all play sports its awesome for sports and im a beginner at this to i cant say it enough awesome awesome awesome very glad i spent the money

Overall, this camera is amazing. Picture quality is impeccable. And it performs really well under low-light. The lcd screen is pretty low quality. But as a photographer you shouldn’t be relying too heavily on the lcd screen to begin with, so it’s not that big of a deal. The lens in this kit aren’t the highest quality (not too surprising) there is a lot of vignetting and a lot of warping as well. Some color fringing but it isn’t too bad. Most of this can be undone in post production software (Such as Lightroom) those kinds of software have programs that are great at undoing this. But if you want to take photography serious, it’ll be worth spending more on better glass later on. Overall, stoked!

So far, pretty satisfied with this camera. Yet to explore its full features but so far so good.

We bought this camera for our daughter for her 21st birthday and she just loves it. Easy to use and the pictures she took of our dogs with this camera are just incredible.
