Got tired of lugging bulking DSLR equipment. Wanted something lighter and smaller. Stumbled on Sony mirrorless system and so glad I did. Love the size and picture quality it takes. Only downside for me is the number of photos it takes on a single charge. But I bought spare batteries to compensate for that negative.

This is a great camera. It has amazing quality and the ease and versatility of the camera is something to be very happy with.

I love this camera. I bought it intending to return it and buy a Sony A7MK2. I ended up keeping it and bought The A7MK2 also the combination of the two cameras compliment each other. I love being able to use the full frame lenses and get 1.5x the focal length. I am extremely happy with the purchase. The A 6000 is a very fast camera. It takes great high resolution pictures. I highly recommend it!!!

Best for the beginner who doesn't have much knowledge on DSLR settings. Easy to use. More compact and fit in your hands.

The camera was very easy to use. Took excellent pictures for such a small camera. And was light weight for transportation.

Great little camera. Didn't want to carry around a DSRL so got this. So many options. End up using auto option because I haven't had a chance to play around with the manual settings, but the pictures come out superb. Highly recommend.

This is a great camera for beginners and also photo hobbyists. You can set it to fully automatic and just shoot away. Over all pictures are very good and sharp. When shot in low light when camera uses ISO 3200, picture is still usable and bright. For day time shooting, this camera is excellence. Love it !!!. But since I take most of my pictures at night and indoor, I will probably replace the kit lens with something with lower F-Stop. For video, this camera is excellence also.

Looks Great and takes great pictures with ease. It's easy to use and is small enough to carry anywhere.

I purchased this camera for my honeymoon and have not been disappointed easy to use, looks great, and takes great shots. I recommend if you are a newbie to take a class or do some online research to learn how to use.

I'm one of those folks who has decried the demise of the viewfinder in digital cameras. Since mirrorless cameras can only have an electronic viewfinder, most of them have none or require an add on that attaches to the hot shoe. So, a major selling point for this camera is that it has a built in one. So far the pictues are great and should improve when I learn how to use more of the features.

I started using a Sony NEX 3 mirrorless camera several years ago as a smaller alternative to my Canon SLR. It wasn't as good as my SLR but was a much better alternative to a standard point and shoot camera. I upgraded to the Alpha A 6000. The quality of the camera and the quality of the images in such a small light package is wonderful. I basically use this instead of my trusty SLR now. This camera can be used for beginners as well as prosumer. It allows the user to fully dependent upon the camera or manually set all parameters by himself/herself. Auto Focus is very fast. The body is light. As the user understands more about photography, the user can grow with it. The user can attach Sony E mount lenses or even some legacy lenses using adapter. This is a camera for all.

This camera is an excellent value, I purchased for ~$600 before tax. A great fit for someone looking for something more advanced than a point and shoot camera. Compact size is great for travel, especially in comparison to a traditional DSLR. Camera is well constructed and has a high-quality feel.
