The A6000 is easily the best feature rich - value for money compact out there. If you want a DSLR equivalent camera without the bulk you should definitely consider this. Feature wise this beats a lot of entry level DSLRs from Nikon and Canon for that matter. I myself am still learning the ropes but I would go ahead and recommend this. On that note not all products are perfect some cons of the A6000 would be: 1) the low resolution electronic view finder (EVF) - doesn't really make a difference but is noticeable at times. 2) WiFi connectivity - Haven't been able to successfully send a picture to phone yet. Will update this when I figure out the problem.

I bought this camera for work in order to take accurate pictures of hair colors I create. I picks up color true to tone extremely well, and does everything needed. I can’t speak for photography as a whole, because I don’t use it for anything else.

Very nice camera even if it's an older camera. Granted it doesn't have all the whistle and bells the current Sony camera's have but it's a decent little camera and the kit lens is pretty good as well!

After many years, I decided to downsize from a Nikon D300 to the Sony A6000. The weight difference is remarkable, the features of the A6000 dwarf those of the D300. I'm having a blast with my new Sony.

I don't regret ever buying this amazing camera. The Sony A6000 is just as sharp and light as the reviews claimed. Paired with the lens I also bought at best buy (35mm 1.8) takes beautiful pics. The bokeh is great, the sharpness is there. Overall great camera. Definitely recommend this camera for beginners, great price for the features especially.

I'm truly a novice, but from what I have used the camera for, I have truly enjoyed. Unfortunately, I can't do any comparisons for you.

It's a very good camera, but the kit lens is poor, and it makes a noise when zoom in a video. buy the body only, do not buy the kit. It's a "get your job done" camera, not a "for fun" camera unless you use adapter for other vintage lens.

Decided to purchase this camera after doing extensive internet research. Couldn't be more pleased with this camera. I'm a beginner so the preset modes are perfect while I'm still learning to use all the functions and settings. Love how it can produce pro level images without breaking the bank. Very happy with this purchase.

After reading reviews on the SonyA6000 I decided I wanted to switch to Mirrorless. I'm so happy I did! Image quality is amazing. Lots more features and options than I did with my beginner DSLR. A very fun camera to use. I primarily use for taking pictures of my pets. Image quality is outstanding. Would recommend to any looking to get excellent images at reasonable price.

Using it to capture nice scenes and clear photos of wildlife, nice flowers and everyday activities. My family gets to see things from Africa and some very interesting things about Africa. They will be using it a lot in the next three weeks when they come visit me in my duty station in Uganda. Great camera to own and very easy to use

I bought this as a tiny camera to do some street photography while on my bike rides. I love this little camera. Low noise, 24mp, even the 16-50 kit lens is awesome. Super sharp. I’d give it more stars if I could.

I have had this camera for about 3 weeks. Takes great pictures on the auto settings but the videos are outstanding. Had a video project & the videos that came out of this camera blew away my expectations. Had the cinema settings spot on the camera & post production was a breeze.

The Sony A6000 is a trustworthy APS-C mirrorless camera with a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF). The viewfinder is a must have if you are going to take pictures outside. Buy an adapter to use other legacy manual focus lenses (if you have them) with this camera and there is no stopping you from taking great pictures at a low cost. I've used older lenses (Nikon, Canon, and Minolta) with fantastic results using the adapters (highly recommend). And, if you just stick to the basic lenses (entry level) you can't go wrong either. The zoom works, great, but you cannot use Raw with the zoom enabled, so they're not editable. I use highest quality and Raw files. Fantastic results. For the price, this cannot be beat. Great entry level mirrorless camera. Took this picture today with lowest resolution. Imagine if it were a raw file at high resolution.

A6000 is the best to go if you don't want to haul a DSLR with you. Image quality is beyond description. It's a great buy, I read and test a lot before I purchase. I want to make sure I get my money's worth and this camera delivered every penny. Low lights (church) photos were great.

This camera really does take nice pictures. I'm just a beginner and I can already see the difference. This is my third Sony camera in the last 20 + years. Sony is an excellent brand, I love the quality of Sony products. I also have a Sony dvd player - it already lasted 15 years and it still works !

I love it! I am so glad I chose it over the bigger cameras.
