This is the best mirrorless camera for sports at 15 frames per second. The tracking is unbelievable. Of course you have to use a fast memory card. I use 64mb with 300mbs transfer speeds. This is overkill for shooting pics, but is highly recommended for shooting 4K video. This is an awesome camera. It out performs several Cannon and Nikon dslr cameras out there. It's funny because everyone think those two companies are the best for photography. As a matter of fact the famous photographer who took the picture of Mohammed Ali standing over the person he knocked out switched to Sony and is now a Sony brand ambassador. I don't know why Best Buy markets the Cannon and Nikon more heavily in their stores than the Sony products. They should consider pushing Sony equally to their Cannon and Nikon products.

This is a fantastic still camera that is capable of amazing 4K video. I have not experienced any of the overheating issues I have read about. It has been an easy camera to pick up and learn to use.

This camera was bought as an upgrade from the Sony a6000. It’s been fantastic. I’m shoot both digital and film photography and love using the a6300 for my digital work. Image quality has been fantastic and this camera offers all the control over getting shots you could ask for while also offering almost flawless automatic settings. It’s honestly hard to shoot a technically bad shot...artistically good photos are a whole other thing and you’re on your own there. Video quality is also excellent.

This is a good camera. Great pictures and videos, but with limits. My a6300 tends to overheat and shutdown if it's a hot sunny day while recording in 4k. I've experienced this in 81° F or warmer. Your mileage may vary. In either case, when I'm able to record in 4k or 1080p 120fps, the footage is fantastic. I know there's rolling shutter issues, but I usually record airplanes and landscape on a monopod or tripod with no issues.

The feel of the A6300 is great, its feels like quality, compaired to the A6000. I got this for the 4k video and better weather resistance. I was waiting for the A6500 but it seems they aren't in stores and only available for pre-order or online, and by the time I tried to pre-order they sold out at Bestbuy.com. I do wish the A6300 had some of the A6500 capabilities but from reviews of the A6500 Sony still has some bugs to work out before its worth the extra $400.

I've been looking to upgrade my DSLR for a long time. I've always been a fan of Sony cameras and after seeing the Sony a6000 I was ready to buy. Then I heard about the a6300 and how it can shoot 4K video and 1080 120fps slow mo. Since buying the camera I have had a fun time taking family photos and shooting video.

I'm a beginner in the camera world so I did my research before purchasing this camera. So far I haven't been disappointed at all! Autofocus is lightning fast!

Takes great photos and 4K video. Use it all the time at baseball games, xc skiing & general travel. You can find some great lenses for it too.

Pro: Autofocus and clarity Tyler in Mason/Cinti sales @ Best Buy so knowledgeable & patient. Buying fr Best Buy there return policy is awesome allowed me to find Camera that I hope I can keep for awhile. Negatives: Buttons on the back too small & soft, may have to press 2X. Hard to see review pics on rear screen, washed out Because of wash out wish viewfinder was much bigger. Kit lens is cheap, so had to spend more for better len. It's pricey when you add cost of the better len.

My best Companion for traveling. So lightweight and lens options great. I use the Sony 10-18mm more often.

The A6300 is a great general purpose camera. I am not a professional photographer but appreciate good pictures. This is my 2nd SONY camera (my wife now uses the A6000) and feel that my pictures are every bit as good as a camera that is 2 - 3 times as expensive as the A6300.

I spent months researching what camera to graduate to, I have the Sony RX 100ii and wanted to move to a dale or mirror less camera. I chose the Sony a6300 because of the size and speed. My hands are small (I'm a 5'3" girl) and this camera just fit my hands better than the A7 or other dslrs. I went to many best buys and other camera retailers - the bottom line was eveyome said I would NOT be disappointed and couldn't go wrong with the 6300 and they were right! Fast and great in low light! You will love it!

I was about to purchase the A7R II for a little over $1,500 before tax and then I started having second thoughts because of how little differences it had with the A6500, that got me into even more thinking as the only difference between the A6500 and the A6300 was IBIS and a touch to focus system. Was it really worth it to spend 50-70% more just for two features? Short answer, for me, it wasn't so I got the A6300 and it's been awesome, most of my lenses have OSS built in and the camera is mostly mounted on a tripod anyway and now that Sony released an app for your phone that lets you control the camera, you can use your phone's screen as a touch to focus system. All the money I saved went into some really nice lenses!

Upgraded my a6000 primarily to get 4k video. Very satisfied. Keeping the a6000 as a backup. This is as good as it gets in a mirrorless APS-C format, and competes extremely well even with its FF siblings.

I spent a lot of time researching which camera is right for me, how much I wanted to (able to) spend on a camera, etc. I have not been disappointed in the camera. Great pictures!

The most exciting change from our perspective is the a6300's new sensor. Although the pixel count remains the same, the a6300's sensor has a whopping 425 phase-detection AF points ranged across the sensor. The a6000 already offered one of the best AF systems in its class, when it comes to identifying and tracking subjects, so an upgrade in this area sounds extremely promising. The sensor is also built using newer fabrication processes that use copper wiring to help improve the sensor's performance and possibly contributing to the camera's slightly improved battery life.

This camera is get for point and shoot. Also great for advance novice. I wish the screen would flip like the 5100 or turn like a canon screen. But. I LOVE IT
