...and more. After pondering this purchase since fall after my A33 quit on me I finally pulled the trigger and boy am I glad I did and upgraded at that. While still getting used to the unit thus far has been very impressive. Looking forward to putting it to work as LAX season approaches, I know it did extremely well at Autorama as well as a walk in the park several weeks ago. Glad I made the move and maintained my confidence in the ability of the Sony A mount camera system.

I upgraded from a sony alpha a100 and I was able to use my original lenses with this camera. Lots of "bells and whistles" in addition to automatic and scene modes. Great buy.

    Blazing Accurate Auto Focus

First and foremost this is a sports shooters dream. Aim and fire and you can be assured of a flawless 12fps experience. The focus speed is blinding fast and accurate with more choices than you can count. The Jpeg engine of Sony has FINALLY been improved. You'll be tempted to shoot more in Jpeg than before as details are better retained without the characteristic Sony "smudging". The Viewfinder and LCD are simply "state of the art" good. The build is all magnesium, light but like a brick strong and weather sealed. The shear choices in custom setup assure you of it being just as you want it when you want it with custom memory setting provided as well. It is NOT a high ISO monster however. It's strong suits are without a doubt ISO50-ISO1600, Once you reach ISO3200 if you are viewing 100% on screen, however in print it's just fine. ISO 12800 is pretty bad from there on up, but most cameras are. It is a great professionally qualified tool. I feel it would easily keep up with a Canon 5DMkIII in all aspects other than high ISO. Not bad for an affordable body. Pair it with a 16-50 f2.8 kit lens and a 70-300G lens and you're good to go.

Upgraded to the a77ii from another Sony camera. So many great features, especially handheld twilight. Super-high frame rate perfect for shooting action and sports. Heavier than Sony's mirror less cameras, but I prefer the added heft. Compatibility with Zeiss, Sony and Minolta lenses is an extra bonus.

I recently upgraded from an aging A57 to this A77ii. It's not the latest and greatest, and it's not the mirrorless E-mount that everyone is raving about, but it's really good and I didn't have to throw out all my A-mount glass. I do mostly portraits, art, and travel, and have recently started venturing into middle school and high school sports. The autofocus modes are awesome!

Purchased this to replace my existing Sony and it's even better than I thought. Easy to work, quiet and quick. The photo quality is excellent. For the price it's a steal.

Learning curve can be daughting, but is wort it. The A77ii is far above others in its class. It will also work with Minolta A mount lenses. If you are looking to upgrade or making the move to high end camera, this is the one you should look at.

Very impressed with the camera. Sony continues to improve upon their line of quality products. At present the only thing holding them back from truly competing with Canon and Nikon is the brand loyalty of customers which in this industry is notably intense.

I originally had the Sony a77 and this is a great upgrade if you don't want to jump to an a99. I chose this one over the a99 bc of the built in flash. It's lightweight and the speed is great!

I bought my camera body only although i recommend that the 16-50mm lens also be purchased. The camera works great with my original Sony A100 camera kit lenses but the new lens has a wider angle and lower f stop.

This is my second Sony A77II that I have purchased from Sony. I love this camera as a photographer. It never fails me, and it captures beautiful portraits. It is a must! I needed a second camera for my business, so I naturally went with this one!
