The articulating arm has large up and down plus sideway left and right tilt adjustments ,, it's a little big but works in different situations such as car mounting ,, bikes,, and others besides the backpack ... and depending on what you mount on ,, you may need other optional adapters or make them some how yourself

I like this holder more than a chest holder as it gives you more freedom Also to be used for other things you would like to have close to your chest while hiking, etc. The great thing about Sony adapters in general is that they use a standard Tripod mount, so it is usable with all different types of adapters.

Very easy to use with many more applications. Good all around mount.

I use the mount when I go cycling. I hook it up to my back pack and let it record my rides. It is very simple to apply and adjust. I used this on two back packs, one that had flimsy straps and one with thick straps. Both backpacks worked great with it.

This is great for my hikes, it's sturdy and I've even ran with this thing attached and it doesn't feel like it's falling off at all. It's nice to be able to be hands-free while my X1000 Action Cam is attached.

I bought this backpack strap mount specifically for an 8-day Caribbean cruise we did this summer (June 2015) hoping to capture some good footage and "stock" footage with it. Of all the accessories I bought for my Sony HD action cam, this little guy was worth his weight in gold! It's probably a little awkward for any new videographer to get used to having a camera strapped to themselves, I got some awesome "stock" footage and time-lapse footage with this thing! It was perfect for my tour around the San Juan Fort in Puerto Rico, and having the cam mounted allowed me to still take regular photos while capturing video. I am VERY HAPPY with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Recently have traveled to china and i purchased this before i left. I sure am happy i did, every exploration here is fantastic just throw it on my backpack and hike no more effort needed.

Learning to use this when you needed it wont work. Go online to see videos before using it. Works great when you figure it out.

Easy to use and does a great job supporting the Sony cam for pictures and video. I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

This is a handy little item if you want something not strapped to your head or chest. It's a more practical positioning while out on the trail. For the cost, it's best if you can find this on sale as it is a bit pricey for a fancy strap mount.

This product works well just make sure you adjust your backpack accordingly

I'm always looking for ways to mount my cameras. This is a good idea but allows a lot of shaking. I have ended up using the mount on other applications and it works great like that. Think outside the box on this one and try to find it on sale.

Got this for my Sony action cam when I needed to go on a joke. It meets and exceed my happiness. I got lots of compliments on the hike with this adapter.

This is a very handy addition to my Sony Action Cam. Great for videoing while riding my bike or hiking, or just bumming around - anything I am wearing my backpack for.

I use the mount attached to my golf bag to capture swings as I play. Another future use is attaching to my range bag when shooting.

I did not have the chance to use it yet. So far the only thing I don't like about it is when I tried to put it on my backpack. Too complicated.

This worked great on our Italian vacation. We used it while climbing the Leaning Tower and several bell towers.
