In rebuilding my computer complex after buying a new computer, I needed a Blu=Ray Player that fit in a compact space, was easy to connect and able to stream. The BDPS1500 is perfect for my needs.

This Blu-ray player is the biggest bang for your buck that you will ever find. It is your basic entry machine but does everything you would expect and more for the price.

This plays DVDs and Blue Ray. easy to hook up and use. Comes with a great remote. Using it on an older flatscreen Samsung and it is AWESOME! Bought it for about $50

Despite the incompetence of the Reno Best Buy store employees and manager who essentially told me I've been "86"ed from the store (after I'd already told him that I'd never go back to that store again and would tell all my friends (and anyone who'd listen) how bad a place it is, the player that I chose works well with the '636-series' Onkyo amp I previously bought. I do NOT recommend the Onkyo brand amp with this player, however, since all the default settings are counter-intuitive to the setup of the player. After I'd finally (!!) made the amplifier communicate properly with the player, the player worked flawlessly.

Great performance for the price. Basic blu ray player with a few added features. It replaced another Sony player that died last week and i couldn't be happier.

This player is very small yet it performs just as advertised. Extremely easy to setup consistently great results with DVD, Blu-Ray and Netflix.

This was in the $50 range, so I wasn't expecting it to have tons and tons of features, , but it is very capable as both a bluray player and internet connected media player. It's a little slow when loading network apps, and the remote isn't the most graceful way of navigating Netflix, etc., but functions well enough that I purchased a second one for my work area.

I purchased this to replace a PS3 as my primary blu-ray player, since the fan on it sounded like a jet engine. This works as expected and does not make noticeable sounds. Works great with my Sony tv and picture quality is great, as expected.

Like the compact size. Have only used player a few times and was simple to use. Works well with my TV giving a good quality picture.

The blue ray player works great. Easy to setup. I use it with my projector, so I like the fact that it's small and lightweight.

This was easy to set-up and play. It was a size easy to install into the area we had. It is a good quality product for the cost.

Easy no frills Blu ray DVD player. Basic model and performs well for the price paid. Sony and Samsung seem to be a safe bet when looking for a player you can trust. It has the smart features built in and also offers streaming of certain PS3 games. It is NOT wireless but that was not a problem for me.

As I said its small/compact, easy to use, immediately starts up instead of wasting our time. Great price as well.

Connected HDMI cable - Network cable - Power cable. Turned on the TV and selected the Blu Ray player as the input. Turned on the player and it downloaded and installed a software update flawlessly. Designated the make of the TV to the player remote and selected Amazon Prime Instant Video streaming as the preferred favorite and started using it. Found the picture quality is great and the remote is intuitive. Very satisfied!

I purchased this Sony BDPS1500 Blu-ray Player for my daughter and her husband as they were using older technology and wanted them to have a better experience for them and their two kids. I also own a Sony Blu-ray Player and it has worked perfectly for a couple of years now, so I felt confident in getting them one also. It does the job well and has given me no problems, so I expect the same results for them
