Excellent performance, but some odd operation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Blu-Ray did an excellent job upscaling the video quality to near 4K, and loaded Blu-Rays fairly quickly. However, unlike my previous Sony players, if you press play without closing the tray it will not close and start play as my previous Sony players used to do. Also, it takes an inordinate amount of time to shut down. Not major issues, but odd.

Compact Blu-Ray Player

This is the second one that we have owned - our last one lasted about a year then went out. Glad we had the geek squad plan because it was replaced at no charge to us.

So far so good

Most of my blu ray players in the past have always been good, but 6 to 12 months down the line they stop playing blu rays. So we'll see if this one last longer than the 2 Samsung players I had before. I can't really speak to the apps and online usage since I use my Fire TV for that.
