great reader for CFexpress cards and SDcards! I carry this with me everywhere

If you’re a photographer/videographer and use CFexpress Type A card you NEED this. This thing along with my Sony Tough card is insanely fast. It is a bit expensive for what it is but it works great and has a great built quality.

I have both the Sony CFexpress Reader and the Prograde CFexpress Reader. The Sony reader is superior in several ways. 1, it doesn't get as hot. 2, With the Prograde I'd often have read errors in that the computer simply didn't recognize the reader and I've have to connect disconnect reconnect several times. 3 The Sony has positive 'click-in' and spring out of both SD and CFexpress cards. Doing it again I'd suffer the price difference at first and just buy the Sony. I have to admit I'm Sony prejudiced, owning Sony A1, Sony a7iv, A7C; heck even my hearing aids are Sony :)

The transfer speeds are INSANELY FAST!!! That's all it does though. If you don't need to dump footage THAT quickly I would just plug the camera up to the computer with the USB - C 3.1 speed cable the camera came with and you're still getting between 100MB/s and 120MB/s. Also can read SD cards which helps I guess. Built sturdy.

I’m using this with my Sony a1 and find it to be super fast and low profile solution for transferring my memory cards

Only reader for CFast card so Sony suckered you into buying it too. Works great but dont use while editing. Transfer files to harddrive first the remove the reader. Thing gets super hot if your manipulating clips while its in your computer.

Super impressed on how fast this thing is. I can transfer a full 160gb CF-xpress Type A card to my computer in just a couple minutes. Fastest reader I’ve owned.

If you use the fast cards, you need the right reader.

Works as stated but it’s expensive. Not many choices for Cfexpress type a though.

Works fine itself but Dell computers have a hard time reading it
