Works great connected up to a Sonos Connect Amp. Gives the system a well rounded sound and a bit of extra bass when I want it. Great value

I hooked this up to a small Denon stereo system I also bought at Best Buy and I simply love the result. I bought and used the Denon on its own for about two years and it sounded very good on its own but after reading how some other consumers added a subwoofer I decided to try it. The Sony was the perfect balance of price, size and performance for my application and the results were phenomenal for my tiny system. Although the cable that ca,PE with the system worked fine I did add a shielded 10 ft subwoofer cable for about $15 to get more placement capability. Very nice. Note: I don’t work for or have any connections to Best Buy or Sony besides being a customer and I did fully pay for my product

Purists won't consider a Sony sub, and that's okay because this is not an audiophile subwoofer. But for a small to medium-size room, this little sub delivers clean and punchy (never muddy) bass reinforcement. I auditioned it against 8 inch Klipsch and 8 inch Yamaha subs in my collection and it bests them both in clean sound and low frequency extension. And the overall cabinet size is significantly smaller than both of those 8 inch subs. My testing in a 12 by 15 listening room shows this sub is good to 30 Hz before rolling off. I have another Sony sub that I've had for years in my living room for the home theatre (which both the Yamaha and Klipsch have been used but didn't quite deliver like I needed), and it doesn't disappoint. For budget music lovers who need help with the low end in their rig, don't overlook this Sony.

Particularly like a little extra bass/boost when watching a movie. It's more "theater-like". It works well as most program doesn't seem to take advantage of the subwoofer. The sound is adjustable so it doesn't rattle the house (preference). It's not terribly large either which is a plus. For us, it creates just a bit more fullness of sound which is perfect.

Bought this to connect to a Vizio 3.0 Soundbar using a RocketFish subwoofer cable (comes with a cable but needed more length). I must say this sub packs a nice punch the bass is deep & is more than enough to make your house rumble without breaking your wallet. This setup is perfect for my medium sized bedroom. Really simple to connect. I like how easy I can adjust the knob for the bass when I want to add more kick. I turned off the auto shut off feature as I don't want the sub turning on & off during movies, after I'm done I just turn off the sub manually no big deal at all. Overall from using it a little over a month regularly im very happy I picked this one love the sound.

Surprisingly when paired with the rest of the core line of Sony speakers this little sub sounds great giving bot my movies and music that extra thump and thunderous roar. I ended up getting 2 when they were $115.00 each and they sound really good. Due to space restraints i have my css3 towers sitting right on top of them. Look good sound good. Price was right abd i paired them with the Sony strdh790 reciever. Very impressed. I own Klipsch speakers and no they arent as good as those but for my bedroom they are perfect. At $229.00 tgere are better brands out there but for what i paid i am happy with what i got.

Great little subwoofer. I used it as my second sub for my stereo system have no complaints. Great base easy adjustments.

If you want base, get it if you like loud noise, get it if you’ve been in the theater in your house and get it if you like quiet base get it feel like loud base and get it just get it

Good value for a great product. Works perfectly with our soundbar. Actually cost less than our original subwoofer. We like it. great sounding bass. Easy to install.

This sub woofer packs a lot of punch for the price. I was a bit worried as this was going in a larger basement space, but this works really well. The first movie my family watched was Gran Turismo and this sub woofer combined with our surround sound speakers made you feel like you are in the car.

My oldish cheap sub died unexpectedly so I wanted to get something better. This fit the bill of being the perfect size and price. Sounds a ton better than what it replaced and didn't come close to breaking the bank.

I got this on sale for half price to go with my new Sony 725 surround sound receiver and center speaker I purchased. It looks great and doesnt take up my space. You will not just plug this in and have it work properly!!! It has to be set up right with your receiver. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN YOUR RECEIVERS MANUAL!! People returns these thinking it is a plug and play AND THEY GET HARDLY ANY SOUND! Most new receivers have a calibration mode or microphone that it used to set up the speakers. Do your research on your receiver before buying!! Properly set up this will shake the windows in your house!!!

Sounds great! Good clear bass. We use it for a karaoke system. Pairs well with the other speakers.

If you use this as intended "as part of a home theatre system" and setup the crossovers properly on both receiver and the CS10, it does a very impressive job and is quite robust for the price point. If you plan on using this as part of an in-home DJ/Entertainment solution then no; as that's not what its designed to do or deliver on.

I believe this is probably the best value in a home subwoofer. The sound is incredible. the size is quite small. And the price is very low.

I bought this sub for my family room AV set up. It's a good sized room about 13 feet by 20 feet with a sloped ceiling that rises from 8 feet to about 12 feet. This little unit, positioned in a corner behind a recliner chair, provides plenty of bass that fills the entire room. In fact it'll bass down the room pretty intensely if that's what you're wanting to do. It's powered by a twenty-year-old Sony stereo receiver and I keep he volume on the sub at about 70% of the max . If I want to adjust that level I just adjust the sub setting on the tuner. But I rarely do. The tuner has a max volume of 30 and when set at 7 or 8 the volume for the center channel and surrounds along with the sub's bass is perfect for family movie night. Any more than 12 kicks out way more volume and power than we usually need. If you're looking for an affordable sub, with decent power, and you don't have a highly discriminating hear for sound I strongly recommend this unit. I'm very happy with it.

I have this subwoofer running with the Sony core receiver and Sony core front channel speakers, and I have to say this component is my favorite. The bass is so crisp and good in movies and games. My kids always say it feels like the movie theater when we are watching a film that has heavy hitting action sequences. If you have a Sony system or are looking for an affordable replacement woofer for a living room or media room, this is a great option.
