I bought this for a trip to Galapagos islands. It's small and travels well. Tons of features. I am still learning all of it's aspects.

Incorporates every feature I wanted: extended optical zoom capabilities (30x) and 18.2 mp (Many current cameras today sacrifice one for the other), a view finder, good-sized LCD screen, pocket-sized, and manual controls. My only complaint is the short battery charge.

I wanted a travel camera with a great optical zoom range and a range finder. Not many cameras met my needs. Came down to this and a Panasonic. Got this because of the smaller size and the styling. Takes great pictures and the zoom range is very useful. Didn't get 5 stars because it is hard to hold the camera steady at extreme zoom and noise at low light could be better.

I originally purchased this camera for myself for its portability so I wouldn't have to carry around my camera bag. In doing so I discovered how easy and fun this camera is to use. Now my daughter uses it more than me. It's become the go to camera for random family photos especially since it's readily equipped for taking selfies

After a huge amount of research I pre-ordered this camera prior to its release without physically seeing it and waited very excitedly for its arrival. So I was very disappointed when it came to find that while it has all the features it claims to have and would probably operate well and according to its specs and professional reviews, it is just too small and flimsy for my comfort. I am a female older adult; my hands are not huge but they are less dextrous than they once were. I found it impossible to pick up the camera without simultaneously imprinting my thumb onto the LCD and I could not hold it in shooting position without fear of dropping it. While it has many space-saving placements of levers and buttons, they are too flimsy-feeling and/or too small for me to operate; some need a flat thumb push, some need a finger nail. The little covers and doors feel like they would easily snap off. A big disappointment as I thought this was the perfect camera for my needs as it had all four of my highly sought-after elements: an eye level viewfinder, long zoom, articulating LCD and light weight (about 8 oz.) I have clicked "no" for recommending to a friend but it depends on the friend! A user with more nimble fingers might very well find it perfect . It is certainly pocketable and easy to carry along with you for ready shooting. Thank you Sony for an apparently awesome package; very sorry this didn't work for me.

Good: Great camera; lovely pics; fantastic zoom (30x) Bad: Gives GPS coordinates but no tags (e.g. Liberty Bell, Philadelphia); view finder difficult to use Ugly: Pop up flash; flimsy neck; almost broke it as it got caught in the strap

Great camera, almost too small tho. Love the control ring for precision zooming. Fast zoom as well. The Camera is almost borderline too small, fortunately for me, my hands are not giant so it seems to work out ok. The Viewfinder option and hinged screen design are both nice additions.

I bought this in-store after a trip to Europe where my old camera did not function well. Some of the features that I like are the pop-up flash that lets you regulate when to use it or not to use it. It also has a pop-up view finder that is in addition to the large 1.75 by 2.5 inch monitor screen. I found that under very bright sunshine, I was unable to see the image that I was planning to take with my old camera. The extra view finder seems to solve that problem. It has it's own rechargeable battery (included). It has the movie feature and it also has manual exposure and a aperture priority and shutter priority option.

I bought this camera for outdoor soccer pics and indoor school pics. I haven't used all of the features yet, but I'm very pleased. The zoom is great and action shots don't blur. I would have given it 5 stars, but all of the buttons are very, very small even for my small hands.

I purchased this camera as a take along for outdoor trips and scenery on vacation. I purposely bought this particular camera for its GPS and long range zoom. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. I have arthritis and wanted the zoom capabilities of my DSLR. This is almost double the length. I've used this for action shots at softball games and it stops the action. Overall, I gave it 5 stars for my needs.

Tiny point and shoot cameras have come a very long way over the years. I have many larger, expensive cameras, that I though I would only use now that I have come to expect the best from my shots. However, since breaking down and buying this tiny camera for a short road trip I didn't want to pack one of the larger ones for I find it providing excellent photographs for its tiny size. The shutter is wonderfully fast and the clarity in the shot is almost comparable to my Nikon. I have been a fan of Sony's line of cameras since the NEX came on the market, but they have truly redefined the point and shoot market with this little camera. I find myself using it more than I ever thought I would, great little camera.

I was shopping for a camera with GPS to geotag pictures for an upcoming oversea trip. I am happy with Sony point and shoot beacuse of their sizes and features. This camera looks good on paper in term of specifications. The open box unit look like brand new and the price is good. However, the build quality is not as good as other Sony camera I owned or handled. The camera itself seems to have few loose pieces such as button and door. I cheched another unit in the store. Same story. So I returned it.
