Sony RX100 VII with amazing autofocus

I purchased the Sony RX100 VII just a week before going on vacation with my granddaughters to Dollywood. While using it there, I kept it on autofocus the entire time, and the pictures were crystal clear and always in focus. It is the perfect size for travel and very easy to carry in your pocket or a small day pack.

Best Pocket Camera Available

I have had, and still have, a number of high end cameras and have been photographing hikes, birds, and horses for well over 30 years. Many of my best photographs have been taken with a Nikon 9000 pocket camera. I replaced it with this camera. Considering that it is a pocket size camera, its capabilities are stunning. I use the pocket camera on horseback rides. Quick focus and one handed operation are essential for my main usage and this camera fills the bill. Composition using the display is aided by the exceptional quality and brightness of the display. I always put the photos I intend to keep through Photoshop for cropping, exposure adjustment, etc. I find that exposure correction using this camera tends to be usually unnecessary. It’s zoom is adequate for my purposes, but it will not replace my Nikon and Sony zoom digital cameras for photographing birds. It will work quite well for the deer families that spend spring and summer in my yard. I have found video from horseback to be much higher quality and more steady than I expected.

I got this camera few days before my trip to New York! The whole trip was made picture perfect because of this camera. I have no regrets getting this one it was worth the price! Amazing photos no edits needed

No more 5 minute limits for 4K Ultra HD filming!!

After drooling over this camera for the last two years every time I walked by it at Best Buy, I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing it at the end of May 2022. I've have the RX100IV, V, and VI, but the VII blows the older models out of the water. Finally freed of the 5 minute time limit for 4K videos has completely revolutionized that way I can film events. I have recorded up to a 52 minute video and the "failure mode" is that the fully charged battery I started with is depleted. I have plans to sell my used older models of this camera to pitch in towards a second RX100VII. 10 of 10 would highly recommend!

Tiny but powerful

It's pricey but the pics are beautiful and the camera is tiny. I bought a cage for it so it's a tad bit bulky now but it also has a better grip and feel better carrying it around. Perfect compact camera.

I absolutely love this camera! its allowed into venues a lot of the times since its not a "professional" camera. It has great zoom, an amazing manual mode, and does exactly what I need it to in a compact size. attached are 2 pictures I took on this camera from the stands of a concert

Fantastic travel camera

A handy compact camera with lots of features for amateur to professional. In the past I have always relied on Canon power-shot but as it was out of stock when I went in to purchase at Best Buy, I picked up Sony 's RX100-VII. The Sony costs more, but is worth it. It has auto detection technology and so many options, plus video. Photos turn out beautiful. I highly recommend this model.

thi si one of the best point and shoot camera ever made. it packs almost all of the technologies of Sony a9 camera with a built in lens and in a smaller and more usable size format. it has an amazing quality of pictures and video almost matching a full size a9. i have actualy sold my a9 plus a24 to 200 lens and got this smal amazing camera instead.

Great travel camera with zoom

At version VII you get the bonus of a bigger zoom but at the cost of a slower lens. I found that I can up the ISO to 3500 with acceptable noise. Auto focus is spot on. Still trying to find a programmable short cut to toggle focus eye on/off. Really solid and no complaints about battery life.
