This digital recorder is superb. Once you study how to use the folders, how to delete files etc. it is exceptional. I am a lawyer and use the digital recorder two dictate assignments to my staff. They plug-in the USB directly into their computer and download my messages. The sound quality on the internal speaker is quite poor however when you're listening to the recordings through the speakers on a computer the sound is excellent. I'm going to buy a couple more for two of my staff.

So far great purchase, easy to use-great sound and love it. Online user friendly directional manual-easy to understand. I usually buy Sony products when I can-great name to stand by their products.

I am a writer who also produces audio programs, videos and am getting ready to start some podcasts. I needed a small, easy to use digital recorder that would let me record notes on the go so that I could transcribe them into written words. At the same time, I wanted something versatile that would also let me plug in an external microphone to record others, to record telephone conversations and to use a lavalier mic so I could record myself hands free. This recorder meets all my needs. It is not perfect for everything, but is very good at everything I need, hence the four star rating. It is easy to use. It is small and lightweight, though it is not the smallest I have seen. Recording quality is excellent, though a recorder like the Zoom H4 is a bit better at twice the price and a much larger size. I added an 8GB microSD card to double the recording capacity. I don't think you can go wrong with this recorder unless you need the absolute best for one specific need. For all around use, i think this is as good as you can get.

Great for small meetings and presentations. Easy to start, stop, replay and save to a computer. Must be within 25 feet with clear ear shot to person talking. The ability to save the presentation to a computer allows someone to type the minutes later.

We need to have some thing that was easily accessible, quickly turned on and small enough to secure, yet high enough quality to produce great recordings. This fills those criteria.

I especially like that you can hook it up directly to a cell phone, etc to record with no background noise!

this voice recorder was bought for my hearing impaired daughter for classes. She is able to hear clearly, it hooks up to her laptop for recharge or to save the recording. It has dates to keep each class separate. It is perfect for her, or anyone who is in college or classes

I purchased this recorder to take notes from training seminars & meetings. I was not expecting the quality that it delivers. Very easy to setup & use. High quality playback and more. Now i don't miss anything that i thought i might have before.

Will only use Sony digital recorder compared to others I have or tried. This unit is much better than other brands, clear recording and easy to use. Plus downloading recorded meetings is a great benefit.
