Great camera, decent price. If you are not interested in buying the DSLRs out there and having 3 or 4 lens, stands, and lights etc. this is a great little camera that gives the beginner or "non-pro" all the options in one. Easy to use, point, hold, click. The one draw back for me was menus, I don't have the time to study the user guide to figure out what most of these other options are, up side is it has all these other options that I don't even know how to use :) definitely get yourself a bigger memory stick and extra battery in case you take movies with it, they really chew up battery time.

Old camera was acting up and so I was looking for a replacement. I had done some checking and ask my son-in-law what was his opinion. We both agreed this was a good camera for the price. I like how light weight it is and easy to handle. I am very happy with it.

This is an excellent camera overall. Much faster to start videoing when button is pushed, excellent pictures taken while videoing. The 20 MP makes a big difference in picture quality in all shooting modes. A beginner can use the simple setting and still get great pictures. The stabilizer is excellent, as it has been with all the Sony cameras we've used, better than most other brands. The 50x optical zoom is great, though we usually use the camera on a tripod when using the zoom. The digital zoom is not quite as clear as I would like.

My first high-end camera. I originally purchased an SLR, after reading tons of reviews, but I didn't want to be juggling multiple lenses and the zoom just wasn't strong enough without adding to the packages. This camera has tons of different options and the zoom is incredible. I have 3 kids in different sports ad I can finally get those action shots from the stands. The only negative I can think of is that the lens cover simply comes off & I'm always worried it's going to be lost. I'd prefer a retractable cover, or at least something attached with a cord. Part of the package I bought included a spare battery, which has been a huge help to me.

I bought this camera to take pictures of my son playing sports. It has worked wonderful. Love the zoom and continuous shoot features. I like that the manual is installed in the camera. I found this very easy to use right away and am still learning lots. Battery life has been great. Photographs are easy to download.

I was looking for a reasonably priced Point and Shoot camera that had the ability of producing top notch pictures. The zoom is amazing. I am able to zoom in to a close up shot from hundreds of yards away. The megapixels are at the top of its class, and the usability is good for an advanced beginner such as myself. The only downside is it is a bit balky, but I knew what I was getting myself into with that. Also, the stability function is a pleasant surprise.

This camera's ease of use is great. Being able to use a view finder or the large, tilting LCD screen is a nice feature of this camera. Also like the capability of taking stills during video mode. To date, I have not utilized all of it's functions. However, thus far, I am extremely happy with the landscape/nature photos; grandchildren's sporting events pics; and posed shots that I have captured. I believe this camera will be an asset to my learning more and enjoying photography as a hobby upon retirement. Once again, a Sony product has lived up to it's name.

I LOVE this camera. The pictures are beyond beautiful. The camera is easily navigated and those features are excellent. So many possibilities on how the picture is taken. A great purchase for a senior citizen who had slr's all her life. EASY AND FUN. PRICE was ok too for all that was included in the camera.

I purchased this camera because I knew someone who has the same one. I was very impressed with the zoom feature and quality of the pictures using the zoom. I have since learned of the many other features and loved this camera so much that I purchased another for a friend. She too is impressed with hers and plans to use it at the LSU football games she attends to watch her nephew play. A great product that I would purchase again.

I wasn't sure about getting a Sony since my last couple Sony cameras and camcorders weren't great and were pricey. I came in at Best Buy with my mind set on Canon, but after taking to the sales person and trying out the Sony, I decided to purchase it. It's camera meets all my needs: 50x optical zoom, high resolution, burst photos, taking photos while shooting a video. It's excellent in low light and high speed action shots. I took it to the Baltimore Grand Prix and took some amazing photos and videos. Highly recommended.

I have had this camera for a few months now. I have taken awesome pictures outside. The clarity of distance shots is amazing. I took inside pictures at my sons high school graduation and they did not come out as well but I believe that was do to very poor lighting in the school since on one side of the room they came out great and on the other side of the room they came out with an orange tint.

I'm a beginner with cameras, my last camera was a Nikon 5x zoom 5mpx, and I was looking a good camera for photos in low light and with zoom, since I'm a music concerts fan. I tried small ones Nikon and Canon primarily, and I was a so close to buy a Nikon, when the best buy guy encourage me to test this camera, I don't like that size because I prefer to bring it inside my pocket. But just some shoots later I loved it, the quality of the images, the easy way to use it. the zoom and even with the highest zoom I got sharper images. The only think was the price 499, there was a Nikon 42x zoom and a Fuji 50x zoom in the range of 18.1 to 20.1 mpx, for at leas a 100 bucks cheaper. But at the end the quality of the image convinced me, I took it to my Orlando vacations and people asked me abut the camera.
