Good camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as an "open item" in "excellent" condition, however the screen had a small scratch and the wristhold/cord was NOT in the box, so I don't really consider this as an "excellent" condition product. That being said, I am please enough with the camera, it takes nice pics and the screen is large and clear. I still prefer my old Sony Cybershot that I bought in 2005, as it was much more user friendly and the buttons/controls were much easier to use. I have really small hands so I can manage ok, but I would think it may be difficult for people with larger hands.

Excellent camera - Love the Android App
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 2 young children...they move fast...i needed a camera that would turn on and take a fast, clear, good quality picture. This camera was the 3rd purchase i made. I originally tried the Samsung WB380 and WB350. I have a Samsung S5 so I thought those would work. WRONG. This Sony's Android App is also perfect. It connects to my phone quickly, it controls my phone so that we can line up in the picture perfectly. It allows quick transfers of pictures from the camera to my phone for quick FB uploads. The only thing I am worried about, is that its such a small size...i have almost dropped it a few times.

learning curve
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps it is because I am used to a DSLR, but I find navigating the mets a challenge and the only way to get a real instruction manual is to go to the web site and download it, . After spending this money wI would have expected a manual included that I could take with me on the o , not so. Disappointing. Camera take OK photos, still working on the color. Love the size e and convenience of having it with me.

Comes with lots of caveats you should know before
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I compared it with the Canon SX700 HS, also bought from Best Buy. The Sony DSC-WX350 makes it very easy to take bad pictures. In a side-by-side comparison, the WX350 takes out of focus photos more frequently. Photos in daylight lack realism. On the Canon, I was simply blown away by the flower and nature photos I took - they looked like works of art. With the Sony, the pictures were ok, not much better than an iPhone 5. The menu system on the Sony is very annoying. It takes A LOT of presses just to switch from single shot mode to burst mode for example. Almost everything takes many presses through a maddening menu system. If you like control over your camera, forget it, either because the menu is so unintuitive or because you simply can't control aperture or shutter speed manually. This is strictly a point and shoot for dummies, and doesn't even take great pictures. And finally, in video mode, the motor hum is very audible in the recording. Entirely unacceptable. On the Canon, it was silent. I don't care for Sony vs. Canon debates, I just want a great camera at a decent price. The only thing I liked better on the Sony is the low light photography. The Exmor R sensor in the Sony is truly superior to the Canon in that regard.

Do not buy !!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately I can't give this product a zero. I have used many sony products in the past, and have been satisfied. This camera did seem to a good choice, I liked the zoom, and that was one of the final reasons I purchased it. However, getting it home and stetting it up I discovered that the saving is a little slow and it quickly heats up if you are taking a lot of shots or are using this in video mode resulting in the camera locking up. After three weeks it stopped working altogether - though that isn't my biggest complaint. Sony Customer service is disastrous, it is populated by people who are simply reading from a script and have been instructed to say "I'm terribly sorry..." at the beginning of every sentence, there is no option to speak to a manger. My camera was supposedly fixed and returned to me in a reasonable time frame. I say supposedly as they returned the camera without the battery so I do not know if in deed it is actually fixed. I have been calling Sony and attempting to find out the status of my lost battery and I have been getting the same answer for the past month - I am told that my case is still active and that they are looking into the lost battery. Technology is fallible and will eventually fail. The measure of a company is the level of support they invest in their products, unfortunately it seems clear that Sony is attempting to cut corners with its support. If you just want a disposable camera Sony is your company, looking at their customer support website you will see that there are many many people who are saying the same thing as I am. They are also saying that they cannot find a way of speaking with a manager or somebody with the authority to solve a simple issue. In my case I just needed a battery sent to me. I'm off to buy another camera - bet you can't guess which brand I won't be looking at.

Great Camera, with one flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the quality of the pictures, ease of use, and the manual function that allows me to change the white balance and exposure compensation. The one thing I do not like is the port to connect the micro usb. It is covered which is fine, but it always seems to get in the way when connecting it (either to charge or to the pc). Also, it is supposed to use wifi to send pictures to the computer, but I have yet to figure out how to do this.

Great camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera. Bought it for my mom for Mother's Day. It was good because it was compact and takes nice pictures. Only issue is with viewing the image doesn't rotate for you to see better. Zoom and quality is good.

silly sony
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.got this as a package deal (open box). ill be posting 3 other reviews separately, be sure to check them out: the G series, idk how I feel about the new lineup, I miss CarlZeiss. but anyhow for $99 you cant go wrong. that includes geek squad protection and all the accessories. used this for a trip just in case I lost it so I wouldn't be too upset like last time lol. not much else to say but cameras are still useful today just depending on the price.

The amazing little camera that could
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually went into Best Buy to purchase a different compact digital camera, but they didn't have it in stock. So I began browsing and I immediately fell in love with this little guy. Great build quality, amazing specifications, and it is perfectly pocket sized. So I bought it and I'm certainly glad I did. I've taken over 1200 pictures on it in about 2 weeks and have been happy with all of them. Except a few low light pictures. I don't know if all compactcameras have trouble with low light scenes, but this one didn't seem so superb in that regard. Otherwise it's perfect.

Great camera value under $300
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The BionZ sensor make this cam a great choice for the "under $300" spectrum. Purchased today at BestBuy for $273 on sale. Didn't want to bring my SLR for an outdoor sports event tomorrow and wanted a good cheap compact. In/Outdoor pics with light and low light are great. Slight contrast issue with brightness saturation but that can be corrected on PC. There is a brightness, color, and vividness +/- dialer. Movie quality is good however face detection is slow and makes subject blurry with AF subject "on" as you pan away from subject and zooming in and out. There are several specific "movie" options however. My intentions for this cam are for still images but I do use video often enough to complain. Micro-HDMI is available for transfers but no cable included.. Haven't used the battery enough to comment. Downloaded "Sony PlayMemories Mobile". Software is fine, friendly and developed well enough. I like the Wi-Fi conxn with Galaxy S4 but it disconnects because "the camera doesn't have an interenet conxn". And if you're using in your house with existing wi-fi, the smartphone doesn't like it so it disconnects. Used it away from home and one can control wide/tele angle and snapshot button. Smarephone didn't disconnect AWAY from a known wi-fi source. 3" LCD is not touchscreen but menu is easy to navigate. No Black and White image setting. No front or thumb grip for better handling. I used a neckstrap (not included) instead of the included wrist strap in case of a drop. Flash is not a pop-up type but is front face ready. Overall, very satisfied!

All flash bulbs bunt out within 11 months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera was nice it took great auto focus pictures, I took thousands of photos under a years time, but after nine months, I started getting over exposure issues. And then the flash bulbs blew out one after another.

Great Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third Sony camera. I have the H5 and the H50. This camera is meant to replace an Olympus that I was unhappy with. The WX350 takes excellent pictures in all types of lighting conditions.

Amazing small camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size, so small but powerful! The 20 pixels really make the shots clear and crisp- this takes better shots than my cell phone! Great price for great product!

Very Good Starter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this camera is not high end, it's high end for digital cameras for the novice. The wi-fi option is cool and it generally has more power than an iPhone will. It's great for social media accounts and uploading quality photos in a pretty easy process.

This lemon doesn't make lemonade!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd Sony point-and-shoot camera over the past 10 years and I enjoyed my first two. I bought this model last August. When my lens began collapsing back into itself and telling me to turn the camera off and back on endlessly in January, I took my camera back into Best Buy and the Geek Squad sent it to Sony, who replaced the lens mechanism and mailed the camera back to me a couple weeks later. It is now three months later, and right in the middle of taking photos of the home my parents are selling after 23 years, the lens starting collapsing and telling me to turn it off and back on repeatedly again. Sadly, I didn't get to get any last photos of the interior of their home and had to fly home, 3 states away to take my camera back to Best Buy to the Geek Squad, who have once again mailed my camera back to Sony to replace the same mechanism. After the return of my camera when it was first repaired, the memory card started shooting out. It would eject hard enough inside the camera that the door to the battery/memory card compartment would curve outward ... and watch your face if the door was open and it shot out! Either a demon lives in my camera or I got the biggest dud imaginable. Also, because the style of memory card it uses is so outdated, you cannot upload photos from it at places like Walmart to print. You can't even buy the memory cards at retailers. I would NEVER EVER buy this camera again. The stress and agony are not worth it!

TERRIBLE Video
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First I should start off by saying if you are looking at this camera for photography (not video) my review will not help you. I did test out the photography and it actually is really good. Took excellent photos with the bit I tried out. BUT...I am a daily vlogger. I should first reference I was using the Canon S110. I use a camera in video mode EVERY SINGLE DAY and I edit a video every single day. I am very aware of sound quality, video quality, camera settings, exc. My S110 has really excellent quality, but later found out that my first one was defective, and when I had it replaces apparently the normal working S110's have an AF Clicking sound. You can actually hear it if you listen while shooting, you don't only hear it in editing. But, it is really annoying. I felt terrible putting a video up for our viewers because I knew they were going to have to listen to this terrible sound. So my husband and I set out on a new camera search. I saw this camera, and it had really good reviews. I looked purposefully for the video reviews...and I am completely SHOCKED people said they loved this camera video and photography wise. I did all my settings, set it up correctly. I started video recording and kept it on my husband and dogs to watch through the screen and see how it looked. AF was WAY TO MUCH. It would constantly try and focus on every little movement. That is just unacceptable, it makes AF more of a nuisance than a help really! And it looked like soap opera coloring. So i quickly plugged it into my computer, opened up iMovie, and imported the footage. I of course needed to check the sound quality. Well, this was the worst sound quality I have ever heard. Absolutely, horrific. I felt like I was shooting on a camera from 2001. And the worst part is this camera cost me $30 MORE than my Canon S110. I should also mention when I would turn the camera from me to another object it would do this terrible blurring. It is hard to explain it but it was really bad. Definitely no sudden or quick movement with this camera on video. This is absolutely silly. I was shocked it was this terrible. It is so bad, that my husband actually had to leave immediately and go exchange it for our second option the Canon ELPH 330. Guess I will be sticking with Canon indefinitely. Terrible Terrible Terrible on Sony's part. BUT...if you want it for photography. Give it a whirl. Best buy has a 15 day return policy on cameras I believe, so just try it out. It was fantastic how it would take a photo (with flash) then auto adjust the color settings...and it did a really good job. And without flash wasn't too terrible either, even with movement! Just do not waste your time if you want something reliable with video. This just is not the camera for you. Go with the Canon ELPH series (way cheaper), or even try out the Canon S110 if you plan on filming with areas with at least some background noise. The AF Clicking sound doesn't work for a vlogger, as we are at home a lot with no background noise at all, so its very apparent. But in a car you could barely hear it...so shooting at a beach, a mall, exc, no big deal!
