The flash is decent; not quite as strong as our previous Sony. Our main complaint is this camera is unable to take stills while shooting video. Although this feature may not be common on point-and-shoots anymore due to various screen capture methods, it was a handy feature on our previous Sony. Overall we are very happy with this camera and plan to use it for a long time to come.

Having the date stamp is SO important to me and I wish I read or found out before I got it that it does not have that option.

There is an option n the camera to put the date in your pictures. Go to your Menu, Custom Settings and Select Write Date.

Had to remove battery and memory card and use a hair dryer at hotel upon return to dry out moisture. Process repeated daily. Good news, no problem stateside in high temps and humity!

Discovered spots in the picture due to manufacturing particles inside the lens. The camera was sent in for repair and returned with a loose and crooked lens. Received this model as an exchange. After only 3 uses, discovered the same issue with spots in the picture due to particles inside the lens. I work with professional equipment and know how to handle it, so these two cameras were definitely not mishandled. So, I suppose I'll need to send this camera in for repair too. Would be a hoot if it, too, comes back from repair with a loose and crooked lens. Might as well to complete the experience.

Big mistake listening to him it takes horrible grainy blurry orangey pictures!!! By the time I realized the camera was junk and it wasn't me Best Buy wouldn't let me return or exchange. I will never shop at Best Buy again

Returned after a week for a better camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not recommend this camera. Outdoor pictures were not sharp. Indoor pictures show colors poorly. Many pictures show a black aperture at the corner, and must be cropped by zooming in. I returned it after a week. Best Buy has a good return policy.
