As of now this product has worked well. It is very compact and has a very low profile. It feels like a toy but it played an old dvd well.

It is very easy to hook up and get it all set up. Nice to have something that is easy to play.

There are a ton of very cheaply made, not-so-great DVD players out there. While a bit more expensive, this Sony player is great. Its "footprint" is tiny, both in width and height. Runs perfect and HDMI connection and set-up with my new LG UHD smart TV went smoothly. Couldn't ask for more.

I was particular on finding a DVD player that would fit under my television and not too long, so dimensions were important to my process of elimination. Finding this Sony with the perfect dimensions was ideal. The reviews came in very well on this system and meeting my dimension credentials it became the perfect choice for me. Adding it to my entertainment system was easy and it works well for my needs. Views

This upconverting DVD player is very small and slim and lightweight. The quality of the picture is not bad.

Customer service in the store was exceptional and appreciated. Easy to connect this DVD player and pics are sharp. I even installed a floating shelf to avoid looking at all the cords. Very pleased with my purchase.

This DVD/CD player is well worth the cost. It does everything I want at 1/3 the size and cost of my old unit.

Purchased a Sony DVD player, the basic model, along with an HDMI cable and a DYNEX HDMI "switch." Easy set up and worked better than I thought (especially the switch). Tried to make the same purchase over-the-counter in Paramus, but was disappointed (after a ten minute wait) to find that they didn't have the DVD player in stock. Decided then to purchase on-line. Fast ship; no problem!

It works fine and its pretty simple to use. One thing I didn't expect was the resolution not matching the Tv, but other than that everything else is fine.

Ancient technology but does what its supposed to. Allows us to get use out of our old DVDs

The DVD player came and still had a DVD (SAW) in it from previous owner. The remote control is for a karaoke machine not a Sony DVD remote. I didn’t want the hassle of returning to Best Buy so just purchased a replacement remote from eBay. The DVD player does work so that was good. Very disappointed in Best Buy for this.

Decent but loud spinning the DVD after a few uses. It should be cheaper considering this is not new technology.

It was an ok dvd player. For some reason it won’t play he just did.

I purchased this open box. I already noticed the remote does not work properly. But I thought nothing of it because the pandemic hit and thing s became chaotic in the house. I have not used it for a while and I did not have any new DVD to play. Lately, I started to use it again, but the remote does not work. I thought it was the battery. So I bought some new batteries. Did not work. I used my mother's remote. The same kind of DVD player . Her remote worked on my player. But now it is too late for me to return this item. I will try to contact Sony and see what will happen.

I can’t believe that in today’s day and age that a retail store would send something obviously damaged out the door. I thought you all needed sales?

This player is a good value. You can pay more and get more features, but if you just want to just enjoy your CDs without overspending, buy this player! Yes it plays DVDs but that's not why I bought it. Sometimes I need to hear CD quality music and take a break from compressed streaming music. The slim design fits on my Marantz like it was made for it.

Great slim size DVD player Fits nicely on a shelf doesn't take up a lot of room as the larger units. But with high quality picture and features. Easy to take along on trips. Great value

We had a cheap one that broke in a few months with only a couple moves. Got this one on sale for $10 more than the last one and love it. Picture is great on her basic TV and it can okay any type of DVD, so we don't have to worry if it is BLU-Ray or not. Remote is basic and it hooked up really easy. Plus it is compact so it fit perfect on her chest of drawers.

It is definitely a no-frills piece of equipment. If you're a consumer/ user who likes LCD display on your player, this is not the model for you. Otherwise, the image/ pixilation is very good; the remote is easy to maneuver with (although sometimes there's a lag factor with the tray open/close) the player. Although here, some may find an issue: This model is VERY remote-dependent. Maybe I've been out of the market for awhile, but my last purchase at least allowed manual input.
