Do not use DVD-RW discs to record TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product a few months ago at Best Buy, and even though the discs worked perfectly, they have to be finalized before you could play them in anything else. And if you need to erase them you have to erase them in the computer and not the DVD recorder. These become coaster toasters after 3-4 recordings and erasings. I have been familiar with DVD+RW's, they don't have to be finalized before being played in a computer or DVD player. Get the Sony DVD+RW instead if you want to time-shift and reuse re-recordable DVDs.

DO NOT BUY
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited hours to download. Tried every DVD in the case and not one worked successfully. It says it is rewritable, (NOT). I filled one up with songs and tried delete one to add another and i couldn't tried to put the song i previosly deleted back on and didn't work. If you get made at the disc and try to manually open the drive you just ruined the DVD. It is not my drive it is the DVD's. sony is an extrodinary brand for electronics but not for DVD's
