They work well enough for headphones for running, where I like to hear the environment around. But I tried to use the mic and couldn't be heard and had to switch to the hand held (luckily I wasn't driving). Therefore, they're not reliable for hands free driving.

These also come with different sized earbuds so you could change them out if the standard ones are too small or big (OR if your ears differ from one side to another). Great purchase.
