Compared sound quality in store and over clarity and bass was significantly better. Turned out they where less expensive as well. Great product!!!

This headphone had enough bass sound, However, When you get some high pitch song. It was too fake. But if you like you like bass, this is the best one.

Looking for that sub-bass headphone? Well look no further...the Sony MDR-XB950BT is the answer! I'm not considered a "Basshead", but enjoy nice deep bass which doesn't bleed into the mids. These headphones are surprising really "FUN" sounding headphones and are a joy to listen to. A definite "BEST BUY"!

Excellent materials to create an over the ear experience with the removal of wires is exactly what Sony did with these pair of headphones. Excellent sound with a Bass boost button to increase the deep sounds. If you do need to add a cord, you can with a break away cord design to help keep you from ruining your pair. Great construction and sound!

The sound was great but the color started fading and spotting on one side with in the week. Went back and exchanged for black.

I was able to test these out in Best Buy and fell in love with how much bass these can produce. Also they are wireless! -Pros- Exceptional bass Wireless Comfortable -Cons- Wireless range Short charging cable No charging dock The audio quality of these really hit the mark for what I was after - bass. My daily driver headphones are a pair of Sennheiser HD 558 and they are phenomenal, but they lack that punch of bass. After testing various Bose, Beats, JLT, and other brands of headphones in Best Buy I found these Sony's to produce both the best quality of bass and biggest amount of bass. I use my HD 558's daily still, but when I want to listen to some music that is real bass heavy I switch to these and it is a real enjoyable experience for bass lovers. Depending on the volume level, these can really rattle your head, especially with the bass boost active, which is kind of fun in small doses lol. The comfort of these was a really big selling factor for me. I tried some beats headphones on and immediately took them off because of discomfort. These headphones are very light and comfortable, not as much as my HD 558's, but enough to wear them for about 4-5 hours before feeling discomfort. I should note that I wear glasses which tends to be a factor for comfort because most headphones will press tightly to your ears and press the sides of the glasses into your temples. These press tightly to the ears, but the material the ear cups are made of allow for a kind of memory foam feel, so they seal around the glasses instead of just pushing them. I have used these for over 10 hours without needing to recharge them. A USB cable to plug into your computer is the only thing supplied to charge it and it is incredibly short (about half the size of a iPhone 6 charging cable). You can listen to them while charging, but you may need to invest in a USB extension. There is a standard headphone cable supplied as well to listen to them while charging, but the bluetooth and bass boost options cannot be used in wired mode. If you charge it through your computer then the computer will need to be on, which makes overnight charging difficult unless you leave your computer on while asleep. You can work around this by using an iPhone dock (or something similar) where the USB plugs in to charge it without having to use your computer, but no such dock is included with these headphones. You can pair it with multiple bluetooth devices, including a bluetooth enabled phone, so if you pair it with your phone you won't have any issues with the signal if you keep it on you as you travel. However, the signal range is rather short. I have it paired with my stationary laptop and if I go to the room just across the hallway the signal starts cutting out and you get very choppy audio.

It has an excellent sound and great battery life the only problem is its very easily broken. Sony honors their warranty with no problem so mine is being replaced.

I had been been planning on purchasing some beats because of all the hype about them but I decided I'd wait I'll Black Friday because they are WAY overpriced. That being said when I went into the store to buy the Beats I decided to try out all the headphones on display. The sonys instantly caught my attention over the beats with there vibrant colors. So I tried them on and was completely astounded with the way they sounded and felt! I tried the bass boost and turned the volume all the way up and was very impressed. I thought to myself these are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. Being an amature drummer/musician for the past 17 years I've used them all. Now that I am older and wiser I choose to only buy the best of things because life is to short to go with anything less. I then went over to the beats headphones and tried them on. I was thinking the sonys were good but these are going to be better because there beats! Well all the hype just built me up for disappointment. They felt cheaply made and the sound quality was not that great, I mean they had good bass but I wanted all over quality not just the name brand. So I went with the cheaper of the two the sonys and couldn't be happier. They have the best ear cushions and are comfortable enough to wear for 8 plus hours and the battery life of 20 hours is enough to keep em cranked and the songs banging for hours! The Bluetooth strength is incredible ranging for 35 plus feet! I used them to shovel my driveway while they were connected to my phone inside the house! At $100 dollars you could not have a better product I would have even bought them at full price if I'd know they were such a hidden gem. Sony has made some good products but these headphones top the charts.

These headphones are very awesome. I found them by trying them on in comparison with other products they would have in the sound section. I love the Bluetooth feature they have added to the headset which also has NFC enabled built into it for quick bluetooth pairing and unpairing. The battery life last hours and I have been able to walk over 20 feet away from my phone and still been able to get perfect quality sound over Bluetooth. When the headset does die it comes with the cable and you can use them as a regular headset even if they are completely dead. The headset is not built out of junky material and can be worn for hours without irritating and annoying your ears or head. I love this headset and would definitely recommend it to anybody who is interested in deep bass for their music.

I had this headphone just for few months. Within a year of use one side of handle broke where it connects to speakers . Its very bad design decision I think. I am gonna buy new headphones now as nothing can be done. I am not gonna buy sony as all headphones has similar design.

I really only use headphones while working out so I wanted something with Bluetooth capability and phone control that was also comfortable. I'd been using my husband's Beats for awhile and they were fine but my husband wanted me to get my own pair. Well brands don't matter to me so my husband went to Best Buy and looked for a pair that had the attributes I wanted at a reasonable cost. He found these Sony headphones. The Bluetooth setup is very simple, they sound great, are very comfortable and actually fit over the ear as opposed to sitting on the ear. The controls are also separate so I'm not accidentally pressing the volume control while trying to change the song and vice versa. (The Beats controls are all together in a circular pattern on one headphone.) I've had these headphones for a few weeks now and am still pretty happy with them. The only thing might be that they don't fold up so I have to be more cautious when toting them around in my gym bag and they don't stay in place on my head if I'm working out vigorously, likely because of their weight. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase and would buy them again.
