Amateur pic-taker here. I've previously used a 20mm G prime as well as 24-50mm zoom G lens and this easily replaced both in quality and convenience. You don't know how sharp your pictures can be if you don't put the best glass on there. This goes on a Sony a7ii body

I wasn’t so sure when purchasing this lens at first because of the price, but from all the vids I seen and to now owning this lens it’s all you will want in quality from a full frame lens. Although it’ll be a little heavy to some but not a big issue!

This lens is part of the 'holy trinity' of lenses. It offers a very wide angle of view and a superior 2.8 aperture so that it's great in low light situations. It is a pretty expensive lens, but the quality is there with little compromise.

Probably one of the best wide-angle zoom lenses out there. Photos are sharp and vignetting is minimal. Do keep in mind that this lens is HEAVY! If you don't mind carrying the extra weight and prefer having a versatile zoom/wide-angle lens then this is what you're looking for.

This is a MUST have lens for your collection. I love this for both wide angle pics but also for video. You get what you pay for, and this one doesn't fail to deliver

I have always been a big Fan of Sony cameras and lenses, as it has the best picture and color quality.I always go to buy products from best buy as they have best quality and easy to purchase from them

Overall a good lens. It is portable and produces very clear video/images. The blurriness could be more, but of course there is the option to get other lower aperture lenses like the F1.8.

One of the best Wide angle Glass Sony has. I am so happy I got this lense. Perfect for landscape photography, perfect for real estate films as well. A good overall lens.

I was looking for a wide-angle lens but I also wanted to buy a 35mm lens and this was the perfect pairing. G Master's make great sharp lenses. I haven't had any issue with it. The lens hood snaps after rotating it and you need to press a button on the side to unsnap it. I almost broke it off because I didn't know about it. I like the button on the side of the lens to hold your focus, but you can program it to do something else if your focusing is automatic, and since Sony's cameras are amazing in fast-tracking and focusing, I just programmed that button for something else like picture profile.

The quality of the lens is great. Fast and accurate focus with A7RIV. Love the landscapes at 16mm and lifestyle shots at 35mm. Compact profile and easy to carry around

It was the best of lenses options and it was the worst of cost…. I Love the variety of the focal lengths but after the purchase I realized I’m more of a “Prime” guy. That restocking fee is Brutal. It takes up a huge amount of space in my bag, it’s very front heavy and for those reasons I had to return it. Went with the non native options and got a Sony 20mm, F1.8 and the Sony 50mm,f1.2, I am comfortable with these two focal lengths

The G-Master series by Sony is the optimum in lens glass quality. This particular zoom brings an entire new dimension for street, landscape and even portraiture photography. This as well as the GM 50mm f/1.2 and the GM 100-4-- f/5.6 are staples in my bag. By far worth the investment especially if you plan to make money with your photography, this and the other G-Master lenses are compatible with all the Alpha Full Frame and yes, they certainly bring a new dimension to the APS-C format NEX or A-6XXX series. Get it and you'll be pleased you invested the capital.

Bought this lens for a trip to Iceland and it did not disappoint. The vistas in Iceland were captured in full with the wide angle and the 2.8 aperture gave me some great shots of the Northern Lights and the Milky Way as well as the waterfalls, volcanoes and glaciers. The build of this lens is solid and the images were super sharp all the way to the corners. Great job Sony!

I am very happy with the quality of the optics. I have no complaints other than the price. I have used it in a variety of situations with great results including excellent night time landscapes. There is some pin cushioning that is easy to correct. The sharpness, color and contrast is terrific and I can crop a photo in half and still have an amazing shot with the a7Riii. My order came in on time but don't forget to use your Best Buy reward points because they expire fast!

This lens is stupid sharp!! The 2.8 makes a HUGE difference! Just an overall crispy lens to own. Even good for some portrait work!

An awesome lens with perfect focal length but the price is questionable. Not sure if I would buy this lens at a full-price but maybe at a refurbished price point. The lens pairs well with the Alpha Full Frame cameras. This is a great lens for traveling and video work.

I’m long overdue for getting this lens. I use to rent it all the time but decided for my real estate company I love great images. This lens delivers sharp, vivid and and good wide perspective. The weight is good, it is not as heavy as some describe just hit the gym maybe! Overall, great all around lens for my real estate business.

This Sony lens is great. I was looking for a wide angle zoom to pair with my Sony A7R4 and this allows me to take full advantage of the capabilities both the camera and lens. It is a hefty lens and feels very rugged. Looking forward to a lot of great pictures being taken with this combo.

I’m a novice when it comes to photography but this lens is the best thing I’ve ever bought! It works so well in low light and my photos come out unbelievable. I recently took this lens to the east coast for fall foliage and the pictures were the best I’ve ever taken. Highly recommend.
