2nd one I received works great but was scratched. First one would not charge. Worth the money I think for everything it does.

This is a great start up touch laptop. Its reasonably priced yet powerful enough. It works great, as you would expect from a sony.

Easy setup out of the box. Very fast and attractive design. Back lighted keyboard is great and so is the touchscreen

very fast, looks very nice but it is not very reliable internet gets disconnected like others say.. overall I like it but not sure if I would recommend it.

Overall awesome product. Couldn't be any happier with my purchase. My only gripe is the internal battery.

Had some issues but it’s been a very reliable laptop. Touch screen works well and is very responsive. Would but again if there was a newer model.

Disappointed so I Returned laptop to local Best Buy

Upon purchasing this laptop initially i was excited but was sadly mistaken when I turned it on. It took a long time to figure out the touchscreen issues, but thanks to the ones who left other reviews which resolved this issue by turning something off. Once that part was fixed I was once again excited and amazed at the features of this thing ( I never owned a tablet or similar device yet). However there is one part that is still bugging me and apparently there is no resolution to this issue. The WiFi is SUPER SH***Y!! I can sit 10 feet away from the router and I still lose the signal constantly. Apparently this is a widespread issue among just about every Vaio flip customer, and Sony still hasn't done anything to fix it. All in all its an awesome machine and I love it so much that I decided not to return it, and instead I'm just relying on a wifi adapter. Its an annoying protrusion that is just in the way and inconvenient but does lets me at least keep a constant signal. I'm really hoping that Sony will end up finding a resolution to this issue at which point would make this an unstoppable do anything go anywhere laptop. -The whole flip mode and everything is really cool and definatly useful. I run quickbooks for our company and can pull it up anytime anywhere and do what i need it to do. full capabilities as my 4 year old laptop. -Battery life is pretty good in my opinion -Touchscreen had issues in the beginning but awesome when resolved -Screen quality/colors are vivid and clear -Back-lit keyboard cool bonus -WiFi TERRIBLE!! Absolutely SHI*TY!!! Sony please fix! I want to give this 5 stars and had it not been for the wifi i would have. I never have left a review on something but this is one that needs to be known about before purchasing this device. I wish i would have known these issues before committing to keeping it, but hopefully this wont fall upon def ears (aka SONY PLEASE HELP).

Idk why everyone has such a negative review of this laptop... I love it. The screen is vibrant and beautiful, the keyboard is wide enough to not be uncomfortable, and it runs wonderfully. For the price, I don't really think you can beat the value. The only thing I'm not too fond of so far is the keypad- it's not as responsive as I would like even after messing with the controls, but since it's a touch screen laptop it hasn't bothered me so far. This laptop is compact, lightweight, and sturdy. It's gorgeous and the backlit keyboard is a plus.

I've bought refurb'ed before from manufacturers with great results. So far I'm not impressed by this experience. Machine arrived looking great, until I took it out of the shipping package and inspected it. Missing a piece of the plastic case above the headphone jack. Should have been caught by a final inspection before shipping. Tried turning on. Nothing. Plugged in and booted up fine, except windows reports NO Battery. Still the same after 12 hours charging. Can't imagine how this was shipped like this. Going back to the store this morning. Now I'm very leary about trying another one.

Nice looking laptop with decent specs, however WiFi issues that are well documented are still present. Also no WiDi as advertised, since this does not use an Intel Wireless card.

I have read reviews before buying and was concerned about the wi-fi issue, but so far I haven't encountered any problems. If I do it's easy to replace the wi-fi card for $25. upgrading from a 15.6 inch laptop and the from factor of this system is great. You have to see this computer in person. pictures do not do it justice. This computer looks so much better than I thought it would. Very easy to set up. I have a windows 8 laptop this is replacing so when I logged in on this one my email and settings transferred over to this one. The display is bright and crisp and uniform all the way to the edge. no more thick plastic surrounding the screen. flush all the way. Touch screen works flawlessly. The speakers don't sound that great. Almost like a tin can. but I can get used to that for the price I paid.

I bought this during cyber week at 450$. It's a high-middle range laptop for a steal. I know there were lots of complaints about GSCR, and I bit my nails until it arrived, but I've been nothing but pleased. I couldn't tell the difference between a brand new machine. But as far as the laptop goes, it feels and runs without a hitch. Touch screen works great, no delays. Keyboard is a little slick, but the keys are nice and firm. HD+ on a 14 inch looks amazing, I never thought I'd buy a sony, but at this price, it was well worth the money. Way better quality than anything toshiba or asus will get you in this price range.

Don't buy another Sony product ever! The last two I bought, computer and dvd, are terrible. Sony has slipped from making a great product in their heyday to the C RaP they push out the door now. This SONY laptop can NOT go beyond 15 ft of a wifi signal. Many others have described the same problem in forums. So disappointed to spend top dollar and get a lousy product with seemingly no recourse. Waste of time and money!! Never again Sony

The wireless and bluetooth connections are disconnected themselves so often. The battery is not removable.

I was really excited about the laptop, but then I got it. It looks nice with an aluminum finish, but can't say the same for the performance. 1 hour after I turned it on, the screen froze, the touchscreen was unresponsive, their was light leaking from the screen, and really slow. So much for guaranteed. Did even last a few hours.

WOW! Reading the other two reviews makes me realize I am not the only one with issues here. I was excited to get this laptop, and right out of the box my touchscreen does not work. Called my local best buy, no help at all. Transferred me to some other geek squad line, and when I tried to get tech assistance, the number was disconnected??? Definitely a learning experience. As others said, how could Geek Squad ship something out in this condition. Absolute joke. STAY AWAY, BUYER BEWARE

i wish i knew how bad this computer was before i purchased it. i only use the computer for writing papers and whatnot but the wifi is quite a hassle. it rarely works and will disconnect constantly.
