Looks great. Feels great. Connects quick. The range of the volume is great. Really blocks out sound from other distractions in the room. I went from the standard TV's sound to these and the 7.1 sounds amazing as if in a movie theater. Battery lasts as long as the controller does, actually longer. Microphone works great to. No complaints from party members listening to me. Can't think of any negatives at the moment. It uses a wireless USB adapter that connects to the system. Charges quickly to by standard mini USB cable. I guess my only negative is I wish it came with a charging dock. But isn't required.

This is my favorite ps4 headset I've ever used. Way better and more comfortable than Turtle Beach headsets and other expensive brands. The hidden microphone is extremely clear and it's not super sensitive like some other mics. The switch between virtual surround sound and 2.1 is excellent. 2.1 is perfect for single player campaigns and narratives while the 7.1 is great for online fps games. For the price point of less than $100, it's a steal. I bought mine over a year ago, but I bought a second one as a gift from Best Buy. Mine is still working and intact. Overall, highly recommend!

Got a pair for $20 off plus my rewards and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Great build and noise-canceling. I went from using Dre Beats headphones to these and sound quality are similar (apart from Beats' over-dramatic bass). Friends also noticed much clearer voice quality the first time talking on this Sony headset's mic. Also decent battery life. I could watch two movies on Netflix with just one bar used. Hmmm what else, the 7.1 surround makes a huge difference in my game performance and I can anticipate where the enemy will come from. Overall, I love these headphones.

I have to say, the sound quality on these headsets are phenomenal. For the price it is well worth it. The comfort is good, only thing is the head phone speakers should have been padded a little more but other than that everything is perfect!. My friends say that my voice comes out crystal clear. You can control voice chat and game audio volumes and the Battery life is 8 hours, it takes about an hour to fully charge the headset. Sony, you've done it again!. Success!

This headset is awesome. The surround sound is very clear and well implemented. It works seamlessly with the ps4 and the wireless capabilities are great. It allows you to load two preset sound profiles which is great. They are very comfortable and you can wear them for hours without them getting uncomfortable. The battery life is also very solid, as you can get around 7-8 hours of play time before they die. if you are looking for a solid gaming headset I would definitely recommend this pair, especially since the price is only 100 dollars it's a definite steal.

I purchased this headset because my Playstation pulse elite headset broke and the pulse elite is not carried by bestbuy any longer.I use this headset for my PS4/PS3\Vita. It's good for gaming especially if you like fps games also good for watching Anime and movies. It's a step below the pulse elite headset but it's much more comfortable for my ears and head . The sound quality isn't the best compared to other headsets but for the price you can't beat it. There's a companion app on the PS3 and PS4 that you can download from the Playstation store that can adjust to certain games so it will sound better. For example if you download Bloodborne sound setting into your headset from the app and play Bloodborne it will sound a lot better and you will be able to hear sounds in the back ground that you didn't hear before. Overall it has good sound and microphone quality and very comfortable and the price is great but I would recommend the pulse elite over this headset if you can still find a store carrying it.

There are many things to like about these. They're sleek, totally wireless and rechargeable. But it does have limitations. Volume control and channel volume are done by buttons on the side of the headset which can be cumbersome, it's not a wheel so it's harder to tell when it's maxed, chat/game audio is harder to balance. Also, because the batteries are built into the headset, charging is difficult if it dies mid play. You cannot just swap another pair of rechargeables though if you have a long enough micro usb, ou can charge an play. Volume is not super deep either, max volume/bass doesn't get terribly loud.

Decided to give these a shot because they were on sale. Volume level is ok but severely lacking in bass response. I've tried the EQ and apps. It's not a deal breaker just personal preference on bass level. There is no side tone during chat and therefore can not hear my own voice through the headphone speakers (because of noise cancelling I guess). I have no issues with comfort or temperature but I do not use them for more than a couple hours per session. Wireless is the best feature and the only feature that makes these worth the extra few dollars. 7.1 is done well. Over all a decent product. They're good not great.

Headphones were purchased so that the sounds of war did not wake my girlfriend up in the middle of the night. Sound quality is great for what I need. Other people in the room can not hear any of it. Good speaker quality. Biggest perk is that they are wireless. Comfortable to wear for a long period of time. Lower quality than the $200 gamer headphones, but sufficient for the casual weekend gamer. I have never had any technical issues with these headphones. They are very reliable.

It's a great headset and the surround sound is fantastic especially when playing shooters. I would have given it 5 stars but these headphones are not noise canceling and therefore the rating of 4 stars. The battery life is solid and I can get through an entire night (9-1 or 2) of playing with my squad. The comfort is there as well and I rarely need to take them off to give my head and ears a break, although I probably should for my health haha. I recommended them to my friend and he got them and is just as pleased.

This headset is great because it is wireless the battery lasts quite some time I would say the downside of this headset is if you're in game and you have your in game sound going you can hardly hear your peers talking to you through voice chat I had to mute my ingame sound to be able to hear my peers playing destiny other than that the sound of puts out is pretty amazing I give this a four out of five star rating

Previously, I had the Elite Pulse headset, and even though I really liked that headset, the quality was garbage, and they eventually broke apart (check online... it's a common problem, just from average usage, and they still sell them). I finally broke down, and purchased the Gold headset, as a replacement, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like them. I was concerned that there wasn't going to be much flexibility, but I was wrong. The ear pieces offer a lot of movement/adjustment, and they seal nicely over your ears. Until I powered them up, I couldn't hear the environment around me (when powered, it feeds the mic into the headphones, allowing you to hear if someone talks to you). The audio quality is on par with the pulse elites, and the surround is still very much present. One other nice addition, that I did not realize, from the pics; the headphones fold up. So, unlike my Pulse Elite Headset, I can fold these up, and store them away better. So far, the only 'negative' thing I have, is the range. It seems to have a slightly lower range, than the Pulse Elites. I have a typical living room, and while sitting on my couch, I seem to be just at the edge of it's range.

Loving these headsets. Excellent surround sound. Voice chat is excellent. Very comfortable on the head. Battery lasts about 4 hours or so before needing recharging. Can use them as they're recharging. Bought these when they were on sale, but I would have definitely paid full price if I knew how good they were.

These are a great value for $100. You get wireless and virtual surround on ps3 and ps4. I have both systems and it works great. The battery life is very good as long as you don't play for like 8 hours straight. Just make sure to charge it after you play. These can also be used as a regular 3.5mm headset for audio and chat and they work on my iPhone 5 and even on my Xbox one with the headset adapter attached! So this is a good 2 in 1 solution if you own both systems the only downside is its only wireless on PS3/4 systems or PC. The pulse elite headset that is similar to this had a nice feature where you could plug a 3.5mm jack into the USB plug to make any 3.5 mm device wireless. These do not do that but that feature wouldn't help with the Xbox one anyway but it would have been nice to use it with my phone. Anyways overall these are a great value and the sound is excellent for the price!

Pros: very comfortable - battery time is great - easy to use - the surround sound isn't amazing but definitely has saved me a couple of times while playing cod - they get plenty loud for me, I cant even keep them on the highest setting - very useful and easy to use settings Cons: the charger cable is literally like 4 inches long, it would be way better if it was longer

This headset is pretty comfortable and really has a pretty good sound quality. Do not expect it to sound really great when listen to music. I have a Bose and some other expensive headphones. This one does not come close to any of those headsets when it comes to playing music. But for gaming, this is pretty good for its price with wireless feature and hidden mic. I am quite happy with the wireless and virtual sound performance. Get it, and you will not regret.

In a nutshell great product! Crystal clear 7.1 surround, lightweight, durable, comfortable. Muting and un-muting very easy even during realtime gameplay, eliminates feedback and distortions and the mic is hidden and very very good at picking up your voice and no background noise.

I bought a pair of these for myself many months ago, and didn't hesitate to get a pair for my son's birthday recently. With the dongle connected to PS3, PS4, or PC you can have really good sound, virtual surround sound, and chat, all wireless (battery in headset charges very fast for hours of use with PS4 usb cord, or most smart phones charge cords, plugged into PS3 or PS4 or whatever else you wish to use.) The microphone is inside the left side of the headset. Non-intrusive, it works very well for clear voice chatting. You can also use the headset with the provided 3.5 cord to connect to your PS Vita, tablet, or phone, etc. (plug it into PS4 DS4 when you want, microphone still works without turning the headset on, sound isn't quite as good, but it works fine in a pinch for power.) This set is wireless only linked to it's dongle. If you lose the dongle, you are up a creek with no paddle for wireless use of the headset. On PS3 you can use one Gold Wireless Headset at a time. On PS4 you can use two Gold Wireless Headsets at the same time ... co-op or movies or chat ... nice. This pair of headphones is not high priced, quality is superb for it's price range, that said, take good care of them, and they'll work for you a long time.

These are some great wireless headphones. I use them for both gaming and work on my computer. I love how easy it is connect to any of my machines. The controls on the headphones are nice and the battery life is really good. The built in mic great and I found that turning on mute while working removes the hiss that it was picking up. Great job Sony!
