Sounds really good! Was super easy to set up… the only problems l have are 1) disconnected from the Wi-Fi twice a week 2) l have to unplug HDMI and replug lt ln for every use

This is not the experience we want you to have. Kindly allow us to assist you. We highly suggest not to place any metal objects other than a TV around the speaker system to avoid interference. You can also try and perform a software update making sure that the unit has the latest firmware version. Please follow the link below for the software update process.

Paired it up with my new XR65X90L, it’s amazing how just by itself the immersive sound field mode gives you a very decent surround experience. Can’t wait to complete the setup with the SA-RS5 satellites and SA-SW5 sub.

Awesome Sound for being the Little Brother

Purchased this on Black Friday for $400 off to pair with our Sony Bravia 77" XR A80K OLED. We aren't looking to shake the house with theater sound (I'm confident this soundbar can do that). Sound when using the TV as a SCenter Channel brings a really good 3-D Dolby sound without the use of rear speakers, and the bass is more than adequate without a sub. If you want to rattle the china in the kitchen, you may want the HT-A7000, or this unit with a subwoofer. If not, this soundbar delivers more sound, with rich mass and side firing mid-ranges that immerse you in the show as Sony claims.

Wrong accessories

The soundbar itself is amazing! I found it elsewhere and no have one and I love it. Deep bass, great Atmos experience! However…. I ordered one from Best Buy recently through the Best Buy app. It’s was labeled “excellent condition” I have made purchases for open box before and haven’t really had any major problems. This one being excellent, was supposed to have all original parts and accessories. Occasionally there might be a replacement that is acceptable., But generally open box excellent has all original parts and accessories. This one showed up after waiting over a week with a Sony TV remote that was not compatible with the sound bar itself. The original sound bar remote was nowhere to be found. Somebody just stuck some random Sony TV remote in there, assuming it was geek squad. Very disappointed with that experience as I had to return it and order it elsew. But I do want to say now that I have one, the A5000 is perfect for my size living room. I love it.!

No hassle using my eARC port on my TV, or even the passthrough on the soundbar. audio had no latency on gaming at 120hrtz, no sound delay out of the box and no tweaking needed. Syncs with the subwoofer without needing to touch anything.

This is the third sound bar from Best Buy, it was a replacement for the second that had a problem. I brought it back to the store and a replacement was found.

Sony let me down

I bought this along with rhe SA-SW5 and was underwhelmed. I was replacing a 10 year old Samsung Curved TV and soundbar with sub. The audio had to be around 37 after auto tuning to be at rhe same level as my old one at 15. The audio was really muddy, the highs werent bright and the lows were meh. The inability to really tune the eq was a giant drag as well, with some work the sound was better but not worth the money. I did the HEAT bank shoot out test and the sub was 10/10 but the reat of the audio was meh. Atmos is really cool but the speakers let down. I ended up pulling my HW-F850 from 2013 out and hooked it up, it was such an obvious difference my wife asked why I had bought the Sony, so its goimg back.

Good when paired with sub and rear speakers

This soundbar integrates really well with Sony Bravia TVs. Setup and use is super simple. It also easily pairs with supported subwoofer and rear speakers, which is a must. As a stand-alone soundbar it is far from impressive, but is pretty incredible when paired with the sub and rear speakers. I also have not been able to get the tv as a center speaker to work. Honestly the price seems pretty high for a system that is only great when adding all the optional add ons.

Aside from adding the optional rear speakers and subwoofer, you can adjust the sound settings of the soundbar to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. Please refer to this link for more information (refer to "Adjusting the Volume and Sound Quality"):

Thank you for the review and we're sorry if you're not satisfied with the sound quality of the soundbar. Sound quality will depend on the source that you're playing. To make the dialog clear, press the night button on the soundbar remote control and turn on that function. That feature will help with clarity of dialog.
Also, update the software of your soundbar.A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.
