I got this as a spare camcorder battery and it has been a great source of power to get my recording through longer shows!

This battery is identical to the one that came with my Sony camcorder. It's long-lasting, and charges quickly. I was considering buying a larger capacity battery but after using this one I realized I made the right decision.

The battery I purchased for my camera worked very well, but what I thought was a chip for pictures was not It looked like a chip I needed, but some thing that a small chip was put in for newer cameras. Gladly my pictures went on to the internal memory and were not lost. The trip was to Washington DC with my grandchildren, not a trip we would do often.

I found these on a clearance sale. I purchased three of them so I would never have an issue with batteries. Great price and quality of product. Very small, light weight, and portable. Love the battery life.

Yes I could have bought a less costly replacement battery made by someone else - but check the mAh, how much power the battery has. Sony NP-FV50 has 980mAh. When capturing special moments more power (mAh) = longer recording time = priceless.

I was looking to replace the battery on an older Sony Handycam. The Sony battery had sat for 4 years unused and would no longer hold a charge, this one gives a longer life span than the previous one, I'm very satisfied!

I always prefer the manufacturers battery the battery is a back up for my camcorder. With the extra travel charger and the battery I can usey camcorder as long as I need to

Got this battery in an emergency. Would be helpful if batteries are charged to at least 50% upon purchase. Once charged, the battery has worked well.

Got the Sony Brand battery instead of the off brand due to better and longer recording time. Worth the extra investment.

I preferred to by an original Sony battery instead of a cheaper imitation. In the long run you are better off!

Just as you would expect; Holds its charge and charges well. Prices can be a bit to pricy. But that's just me not wanting a lot for an item that does just one thing. I walkways felt for the price of these batteries they should have an led indicater telling me how much life is left.

With old battery would always run out in the middle or near the end of what I was trying to record. The new battery has twice the life and don't have to worry about finding a electrical outlet to finish recording. The battery is great so far, extended recording time is great.
