I didn’t have a disc drive on the ps5 so I had to buy it. I was able to put it inside the ps5 so I can play disc games and watch 4k movies. So it plays ps5 games very well. So I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a disc drive and like to play ps5 games on a disc

Its a disk drive for the ps5. Works as it should. Definitely cant complain.

Works great and is easy to install (and yes it comes with the longer standoffs so you don’t have to buy them separately), the only critic I have (other than the price and the fact that it should had been included with the console) is that is missing the disc orientation signs in the drive’s surface or in the installation manual because the first time I inserted the disc I did it “upside down”, with the reading side pointed towards the center of the console, as you might have imagined it would go if the console is in vertical position; but it turns out it’s the other way around, the reading side of the disc must face the exterior panel of the console. It didn’t damaged the disc but it would had been nice to know beforehand…

Adding this to my PS5Pro was i sancho, to enjoy all of the previous games that I purchased from my original playstation 5. Works great like the o g model but definitely recommend this product.

Sony quality, decent price, flawless and simple installation. Works on the PS5 PS5Pro slim or digital consoles and really doesn't increase the console footprint much. For me, the disc drive was a necessity for the PS5 Pro as I have a lot of discs for PS4 and above games. My PS5 was the disc version and I bumped storage, so the Pro needed this upgrade. No issues since installation.
