Been using the DualSense Edge for a few weeks now and honestly, I didn’t think I’d like it this much. The controller just feels awesome — heavier, solid, and really premium. The triggers with adjustable stops are a game changer, and the back paddles make everything faster once you get used to them. Super easy to customize and switch between profiles for different games. Yeah, battery life is shorter than the regular DualSense, but it charges quick so it’s not a big deal. If you play a lot and want something that feels pro, this thing is 100% worth it. Would definitely buy again — highly recommend!

    Game-Changing Perfection: The DualSense Edge

The PlayStation DualSense Edge is an absolute game-changer. Sony has created a premium controller that feels incredibly durable and well-built, with the brilliant addition of replaceable stick modules to combat drift. Its usability is top-tier; the adjustable trigger stops and customizable back paddles provide a significant competitive edge. I love that it’s flawlessly compatible with both PlayStation and PC, making it my go-to controller for any platform. The ability to save profiles directly to the controller is a genius feature. This isn't just a controller; it's a statement that truly enhances the gaming experience. Highly recommended.

Very premium feel and look. High quality hardshell case holding all attachements and controller adds to value of the purchase. Added texturized grip on the back of the controller gives it a very nice feel. Not sure how i will feel about the glossy front plate around the anolog sticks (sure it will fingerprint easily) but for now makes the controller look very nice. Extra buttons on the back are probably the biggest change to how you can use the controller. Probably the biggest selling point along that and swappable analog sticks. Even can switch out stick tops to give the classic dualshock feel during the ps1-ps3 days if thats your preference. Glad i got it so far after a day of use. Worth mentioning that the ps5 allows you to make multiple “loadouts” for your controller mapping even changing the response curve of the sticks as well as trigger deadzones. That being said while those options are appreciated its hard to notice a difference between settings. What is noticable are the Stoppers for the triggers along with swappable back buttons. Alot to play around with to make your controller perfect for you, recommended for people who play FPS games. Taking one star away because of the noticable decrease on battery life compared to the regular dualsense. This to many is likely the most important factor and is undoubtedly worse than a contoller that is basically a third of the price. Not for everyone, and the price tag is high, but most people considering getting this controller will be satisfied with their purchase. Not recommended for casual gamers, especially who play primarily single player games.

I recently purchased the Sony DualSense Edge Wireless Controller (Black & White) from Best Buy in East Brunswick, and it has significantly enhanced my gaming experience. The controller’s premium build quality and extensive customization options—such as remappable buttons, adjustable triggers, and swappable thumbsticks—offer a tailored gaming setup that adapts to various playstyles. While the battery life is shorter compared to the standard DualSense, the performance benefits and ergonomic design more than compensate for this. The staff at Best Buy were knowledgeable and helpful, making the purchasing process smooth and enjoyable. Overall, the DualSense Edge is a worthwhile investment for gamers seeking enhanced control and comfort.

Considering how much time you’re playing video games and take the price of the controller and divided by the number of hours you play video games in a month. You’ll see that it’s not as expensive as you think. The standard wireless controller that seems to break every few months if your heavy gamer is $70-$80 replace the controller 2 times and you just went through $240. These LAST. And they definitely give you an edge in online gaming. The quick trigger function alone is a huge plus. The controller also unlocks special features in the game that you can do with the controller such as shake it to perform an action. I don’t know if this is specific to the dual sense, pro controller or if it is just something I had noticed until I played the last of us remastered version but the battery also last longer the controller feels so much better in your hands. The joy sticks do not move on their own or have any issues with alignment. If you’re really picky, you can change 1001 settings in the accessories feature for this controller. The only thing that I make difficult is turning on and off vertical invert option. However, if more than one person is playing, you can have three profiles and just cycle through them very quickly right on the controller. I previously bought the Xbox one version of the pro controller and absolutely loved it. I sold my Xbox one and Xbox one X and had no more use for it. I was able to bring it in because there was something wrong with the controller and I was given a refund minus the replacement plan. Then told to go either replace it or take the gift card or buy something else and it was up to me. I purchased the PlayStation Pro, dual sense controller, and the replacement plan. This is by far the best “extended warranty or service plan” I have ever bought. And it’s one of the few that I have used and I actually got my moneys worth as well.

This controller has been great! It's easily customizable, the combination of attachments and settings feels limitless, and the upgraded feel is worth the extra money. The only downsides that I've had with this controller are the battery life being quite short (which is an issue that I've seen other people have too), and the interior grips wore off after only a month of use; perhaps it was because of user error, but I don't feel as if they should've worn off as quickly as they did. But all in all, this was a good purchase, and one I'd recommend!

This is an excellent controller! I can definitely expect a long life out of it with the replaceable joy sticks! I love the ability to add paddles / half buttons to the back to allow for more control of my character in game, it has been game changing for sure! The adjustable triggers are nice especially for FPS games to give you that EDGE over your opponent’s where milliseconds definitely count and make a difference! The ability to fine tune just about every aspect of the controller is also extremely nice! My only two gripes are that with the function menu buttons being placed below the joysticks it made finding a wall mountable charging dock difficult to find, and it feels like the controller actually dies more quickly than the standard controllers, but with some looking around you can find some external power banks made specifically for the ps5 dual sense edge controller to extend your playtime! If you are wanting a product that is going to give you a longer life that is cheaper than buying multiple controllers due to stick drift, and want more control over your characters this is definitely the controller for you!

Sony’s DualSense Edge controller is perfectly suited to Call of Duty Warzone and can increase your chances of surviving those nail-biting encounters as you make your way to the final circle, DualSense Edge’s adjustable stick sensitivity, trigger stops, and back buttons combine to give you faster reflexes, more customization options, and a competitive advantage over those using the regular DualSense controller and just Warzone, is perfectly suited for any games, God of war, Fifa etc…. It’s amazing I Recommend it and I would definitely would buy it again 110% recommend it

This controller is everything I had been looking for. The dualsense controller was finally the chnage that I had been waiting for from Sony for a long time. When this pro version came out I knew I had to check it out. The quality is amazing, it feels even better than the regular controller, the grips on the handles are subtle but comfortable, the texture on the triggers is a great touch, and the paddles, boths styles, is easy to reach and use. The downfall this controller has is the battery life. Outside of that or if you have a charger available at all times then it is a must and worth the money.

Controller is great only thing I miss compared to the scuff is four paddles on the back. The extra benefits though are worth this controller over the scuff. Having flexibility with triggers is a nice addition. There is also additional options that the ps5 gives you that create another level of customizing that the scuf cannot. The main reason this controller should be given a 5 star rating is that Sony allows you to change just the joystick if something happens. Stick drift issue? Fix it with $20 keeping the value of your $200 controller. The case itself is also very consumer friendly.

    Amazing well made Pro controller

Amazing controller that fits perfectly in my hands. The trigger motion option, deadzone analog set up and that you can switch swiftly with one press the button your controller set up profiles. Don't matter what type of game you play it, works perfectly good and the option if your analog get damaged has the method to remove the analog easy and replace the part and the part is not expensive. That a huge plus in my book. Because most pro controllers suffer a lot of drift overtime on the analog. Now you have a controller with a broken analog the only option you have either use the warranty and wait for the controller to return to you or sadly the controller you have is been put out of service, like what happend with my scuf controller. I will say this PS5 pro controller is the best. Worth the money for gamers and that you replace the parts.

For the longest time, I hesitated when deciding to purchase the DualSense Edge, largely due to its price and to a lesser extent, its usefulness to me. Then, the PS5 Pro was released, and upon receiving one, I HAD to purchase this controller. Since then, it's the only controller I use - and this is coming from someone who has just acquired the Astro Bot limited edition DualSense and pre-ordered the 30th Anniversary DualSense and teal/green-colored chrome controllers releasing in January. Anyway, the mappable back buttons are a game changer! Also, if you are one of the many who are (or will) suffer from Stick Drift (TM), worry not! For approximately $20.00 USD, you can swap them out. The only real issue that I have encountered in the few days that I've owned it is the battery life. Problem aside, THIS should have been the controller included with the PS5 Pro. They pair so well with each other! As for my recommendation, if you have (or will have) a PS5 Pro, you NEED the DualSense Edge!

The MOST premium feeling controller out there! The sheer feeling of the grips is second to none! Perfectly weighted and feels so good in your hands! Features and setup is so easy, even the most novice could navigate! The battery life leaves something to be desired, but the pros outweigh that small con. Not to mention the modular stick replacements make the controller have massive longevity! Great pickup for your PS5 and works on PC too (haptics work hardlined only)

Definitely an upgrade over the base dual sense in almost every way. The back paddles are a game changer for certain games, specifically competitive FPS’ and souls-likes. Button remapping is extremely helpful for certain games as well. Replaceable joysticks haven’t come into play yet, but I know they will if I do run into stick drift in the future. Only downside is that the battery life is worse than the base dual sense, which can be quite annoying for longer gaming sessions, but I think it’s worth it for the upgrades.

    Dualsense Edge Granular Review

The DualSense Edge wireless controller is Sony's new high-end, customizable PS5 controller aimed at hardcore gamers who want more control options. I recently had the chance to test it out, and here are my thoughts. Design & Build Quality At first glance, the DualSense Edge looks very similar to the standard DualSense PS5 controller. It has the same basic shape and layout. However, upon closer inspection you can see some key differences. The handgrips have a textured pattern for enhanced comfort and grip. The triggers and bumpers are also made of metal for improved durability. Overall the build quality feels extremely solid and premium. The real magic is in the modular, customizable components. The back buttons are removable and different shapes and sizes can be attached. You can really customize the feel and location of the back buttons to suit your specific needs in a game. There are also adjustable stick caps and swappable stick modules with different heights and shapes. With all the customization options you can finely tune the controls to your exact preferences. Performance & Features In terms of core performance, the DualSense Edge works flawlessly. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers feel just as great as on the standard controller. The analog sticks have a taller shaft and extended range of motion thanks to the swapable modules. This allows for precise control and quicker movements in shooters or action games. Some great new features include the ability to save multiple control profiles for different games and switch between them easily. There are also physical profile swap buttons. The new Fn button allows you to quickly adjust settings like stick sensitivity, trigger activation points, and headphone volume without going into menus. The DualSense Edge also has a built-in software hub where you can remap buttons, assign macros, adjust stick deadzones and sensitivities, and really dig into the granular settings. It's very robust and makes the customization process easy. Verdict The DualSense Edge takes the excellent base PS5 controller and adds a wealth of customization and control options for hardcore gamers. The ability to tweak every aspect of the controls is incredibly granular and allows you to optimize the feel on a per game basis. The premium build quality and added features like profile switching and software tuning make the DualSense Edge a must-have accessory for competitive players.

    The Best DualSense Controller

The DualSense Edge is great gaming controller. The DualSense Edge has many gadgets in a great packaging. The DualSense Edge has many pros with one minor con. The DualSense Edge feels great with amazing back buttons, great way to swap analog stick modules in case one starts drifting, and analog trigger stoppers. The DualSense Edge case comes with two interchangeable thumbsticks, two back buttons, and a braided type c cable. The DualSense Edge also allows you to create custom controller profiles through your PS5 or your PC. The only con is unfortunately the battery of the DualSense Edge is honestly terrible. Is not a big deal for me personally because I've gamed for a while with cable controllers but I can see how this is a deal breaker for someone else. Overall I honestly believe the DualSense Edge is the best choice for PS5 owners. For PC owners it's a great choice

The best controller for PS5 and PC... Almost

Out the gate this is the best controller for PS5 hands down. The look and feel is great, the cord is plenty long, The paddles are great and responsive and the trigger gates are good (I do not use them a ton). The highlight of this controller of course is the SWAPPABLE thumbsticks. The biggest issue with most controllers at some point are stick drift and being able to swap them out for $15 is a huge win on a controller of this price. Which brings me to the next topic... PRICE... It is over priced honestly. I feel that at the $150 mark it would be the perfect spot for it. The battery life is something that a lot of people complain about I however use it wired at all times so I cannot speak on that issue but it is an issue I would say. So definitely check out videos and reviews on it. Lastly if you are using this with you PC be prepared to have some workarounds.... Especially if you are using it outside of steam. You MUST set this up on the console first. It needs to update as well as setting up your custom onboard profiles for the paddles, joysticks etc. This does not plug n play with any launcher. It isn't even recognized in Battle-Net. On Steam it does work however it only shows the Xbox button layout. There are some apps you can run to try and get the PS layout and to be able to edit your paddles etc. But in my few experiences they were very buggy and laggy. All the while the regular PS5 controllers are plug n play so Sony... PLEASE address this!
