Tested the H3 with several games to see what I was missing with the PS5s Tempest 3D audio. Those games included Demon's Souls, Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The standout game (for me) for 3D audio was Ratchet and Clank. I guess the best way to describe 3D audio is that once you experience it, you want it in all games. The sound moves around you convincingly, such as with a surround sound system and media designed to take advantage of it.
In Ratchet and Clank, for example, the audio moves around you as a character you're interacting with moves in the game. It's very cool and turned a skeptic (I'm one by nature) into a believer.
Regarding features, the H3 is the most bare-bones of the INZONE product line-up. The added benefit is that the headset has the price tag to match. This is a wired headset, something I've forgotten about with the mass adoption of wireless headsets. The wire is plenty long and unobtrusive.

A Misunderstood Headset That Can Be GREAT

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
TLDR: There is a big difference between the 3.5 mm and USB DAC that is included. I don’t recommend using the 3.5 mm port for sound as it makes everything “worse.” General sound is highly treble focused and can come across as sharp/harsh. Mids are solid without any issues. But bass in general is anemic. However, directional sound and imaging is superb. Making these a solid contender for a competitive headset as you can hear all audio cues at the cost of everything else. Meaning if all you care about is performing well in game these might be for you. Otherwise, best to skip. Outside of that the comfort is superb (one of the best I've tried). The microphone is adequate. It has a long cord making it easy for PS5 or PC. Solid build quality. Overall, solid but depending on preference may not be "great".
SOUND:
The 3.5mm sound is almost pure treble. Mids are present and fine. Bass does not really exist. This makes it possible to hear any and all audio cues making them superb for competitive games. But that treble comes across as sharp and harsh. Also, completely ruins immersion without the bass. As not only do you not have the rumbling lows (which is pretty normal) but you don’t even have much for gunshots or similar. This is really best for those who want to go hard in competitive games as I didn’t miss a single audio cue and was able to pick those apart from a good distance with absolute precision.
As for the DAC this dramatically changes the sound. The first thing you’ll notice is that you now have some bass. Still don’t have any rumbling lows, but at least there is something which helps, but nothing to really write home about either. Mids continue to be consistent and fine. It appears there is some more mid-bass here which kind of muddies somethings up making it a bit less competitive as when compared to the 3.5 mm it reduces the directional accuracy and imaging a smidge. Treble is slightly reduced so it isn’t as harsh but still the focal point. This makes it so immersion is improved and what I think most people will prefer. Unless if you are going full try hard. I also noticed that depending on the game sound can either be GREAT or it can be BELOW average. For example, Escape From Tarkov sounded amazing. Horizon Zero Dawn sounded meh. So, this headset’s sound dramatically changes based on how the game studio tuned their sound engine. Which is why I think so many people are disappointed with it. Along with most general consumers preferring a bass heavy headset over a treble focused one. Even though personally, I find treble focused headsets to be best for gaming as they do better with audio cues, locational audio, and generalized immersion (as you can actually hear everything). But you miss out on those rumbling lows that get your heart pumping.
At first, I was very confused about why they would have BOTH a 3.5mm port and a USB A to 3.5 mm female port adapter (which is actually a DAC). As I think costs could have been cut (while making this a more competitive headset) if it just was a USB which is how I think most people will use it. But then I noticed the difference in sound and think the rational behind that is you have ONE headset that operates as a perfectly adequate immersion headset (giving good enough sound) for single player and non-competitive multiplayer. But when you want to win those rank games you go to 3.5 mm so you can just dominate by using sound to your advantage.
I tested this both on PC and PS5. Both sounded nearly the same. You are able to adjust the EQ using the included software. Which works well and is basic and easy to navigate. But the sound is still quite locked in and the EQ only changes it mildly. I personally used the flat preset (that it comes stock with) for testing. Also, it has “spatial sound” that you can activate on PC. But that can RUIN the sound if you don’t use it right. As a lot of games have HRTF built-in (Apex Legends, Escape From Tarkov, COD) and if you turn on the spatial sound it will ruin it. But if you play something like GTA with 7.1 surround sound with Spatial Sound it will work well.
COMFORT:
This is probably one of the ugliest headsets I’ve ever seen but trades that ugliness for comfort. Which I’ll take every time. As comfort is where this headset really shines, as it is superb. The earcups have a lot of padding, are breathable preventing your ears from getting hot, and feel great. They are even made from recycled material which is a win everyone can get behind. The clamping force is light, to the point if you shake your head hard it will shake but not quite fall off… unless if you headbang then it will fly off to meet its doom on your floor. The top of the headband has plenty of padding as well (but appears to be filled with air over actual padding). Both earcups swivel quite a bit to the front, back, and side to side to really adjust to an individual’s head, while being stiff enough they don’t freely rotate when handling it. Last, but not least the notches to adjust the headband height are perfectly calibrated where they move with little force while still holding its place well. It is probably one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve tried. They really did nail this part.
Controls are simple. As the mic is on the left side, flip to mute, moves smoothly, and you can hear a dedicated click when it activates/deactivates. The only other controls you have is the volume wheel on the left earcup, which also moves smoothly with mild/moderate resistance and has a maximum and minimum point which I always prefer. It does not wobble and comes across as solid, but nothing special. Overall build quality is solid as well. Where I notice no creaking and it feels fine in the hand. But again, isn’t anything special either.
MICROPHONE:
The microphone for this is fine. It is flip to mute which is nice. Also, tends to move itself right into the ideal position. You can understand what people are saying just fine, but it comes across as perfectly adequate despite being Discord certified. It gets the job done but will not be blowing any ones socks off and isn’t bad to the point your friends will dislike you.
CONCLUSION:
This was a very hard headset to review. As the sound is so unique that I think it will be highly polarizing. But I think once you realize the target demographic it transforms them from being adequate to solid/great. As these are some of the best audio cues and directional audio I’ve heard from a headset EVER. But it leaves the immersion (from sound accuracy etc.) lacking which most people will hate. The comfort is superb and some of the best as well. Microphone is perfectly adequate. I think giving an overall rating just doesn’t do it justice. I’m going with 4 stars overall, but my individual breakdown is below.
Immersion: 3/5
Directional Sound: 5/5
Imaging: 5/5
Audio Cues (without DAC): 5/5
Audio Cues/Directional Sound W/ DAC: 4/5
Comfort: 5/5
Microphone: 3/5
Treble: 4.5/5
Mids: 4/5
Bass: 2/5
Aesthetics: 2/5

Hi SirGalahad,
Thanks for sharing your in-depth review and experience with the INZONE H3 headphones. We're glad that you like the comfort of the headphones. We also appreciate your review about the design of the headphones. Regarding the sound quality, these steps may help improve your experience:
-Connect the USB audio box directly to the computer, and not via a USB hub. -Adjust the volume of the headset and the connected device. Turn up the volume if it is too low. -If you are connecting a computer to the headset, make sure the audio output setting of the computer is set for the USB audio box. -Check that the 4-pole mini plug of the headset is securely inserted into the mini jack on the USB audio box. -When using a video calling application, sound quality may drop depending on the condition of the communication line. -Restart the device that is being connected to the headset. You may be able to resolve some issues by restarting the connected device such as your computer.
For the mic function, refer to these steps: -If there is an electric light line, fluorescent light, mobile phone, etc. near the headset, keep them away from the headset. -When using a video calling application, sound quality may drop depending on the condition of the communication line. -Lower the microphone input level of the connected device such as computer and PS5.
Hope this helps. In case you need further assistance, please email the below information to [email protected].

The Perfect PS5 Companion

The Sony H3 headset is the alternative PS5 companion. These headrests are nicely built and they look great. With the black and white color and the bold touch it's a perfect match. The foam pads are very soft, your ears will appreciate the comfort. They do a good job making the outside noise even though the headset is still a little too big for me. I don't have a big head and getting the right size headset can be tricky. However they won't fall off and they are very comfortable. Someone with a bigger size head may get a better noise making as the foam will fit more tight. To mute the mic all you have to do is flip to mute. Mic is also adjustable and it can be bent.
On the left side you will have the mic and the volume rocker. Something about that rocker I found troublesome was adjusting the volume, it can be a little tricky. Something to get used to.. It is a half moon and only the center it's what moves. Although it has texture so you can differentiate it is so flushed that it makes it hard to adjust. It's like you have to play with it until you find it. The sound quality is pretty good, not the best, but good enough for the price. The sound is nicely balanced but I wish I had more bass for my taste. Even using the Inzone Hub on the PC the bass was not all there. Within the software you can adjust frequency levels using the equalizer option. There were a few presets which I found ok, because there wasn't too much of a difference except for the bass boost settings. I found when connected to a PC these will sound much better with (Spatial Sound and Dynamic Range) Off. I also notice some static when adjusting the volume on the PC. That only happened when I was using the included PC adapter that is required to use the inzone Hub. Otherwise when I connected it directly to the headset jack I did not have that issue. That can easily be fixed with a software update.
When using it with the PS5 no adjustment is needed, it just works. I was able to hear and people hear me perfectly. You can even use these with Xbox as well and it works perfectly. Somehow I find the sound is much better with the consoles than the PC. Overall these are very nice headset they look great and sound good. If you own a PS5 and don’t want to break the bank on the most expensive counterpart, these will be a perfect combination. In the box you get the headset, PC adapter, stickers and some manuals.

Personally, I am digging the thematic black and white aesthetics of the H3s. It makes me want to put back the original plates of my PS5 (I have the black covers now). The build quality is not too shabby either. It seems like it can take a hit or two, although I’d worry about scuffing them. The headband is quite flexible, the arms have a nice tactile slider, and the swivels have decent movement and do not creak at all. The cloth-covered earpads are removable. I was bit disappointed by the short thin cable, and I wish it was removeable or at least be the same width as the USB-A dongle. The volume rocker is in a good place. The mic is not as flexible as I’d like, but it’s in a good spot. So far so good.
Now the H3 are quite comfortable. I wore them for almost 4 hours at a time and I had very little discomfort. I would’ve liked for the headband padding to cover the entire top and not just the upper part, but it worked alright. The super-silky earpads rest softly on and around my ears and there is very little clamping. Unfortunately, the mixture of light clamping and soft earpads make it difficult for the headset to stay firmly in place, and they kept shifting and a couple of times just fell off my head. This may affect only me but it’s something that I should mention.
Out of the box, and on PC’s 3.5mm, the sound quality coming from the 40mm drivers (10-20kHz) is a bit underwhelming. Yes, audio is highly subjective, but I found a lack of deep bass and were a bit too bright for my taste. However, whatever bass is there is rather clean. The mids are pushed forward and the treble falls slightly short of being harsh. Having said that, the soundstage is quite sparse without 3D tuning. Channel separation and imaging is startling. Being more on the flat side, I actually found them practical for FPS games as the sound was quite clear. However, for movies, music, and adventure games, they were kind of lacking. Using the USB-A dongle, the sound was better. On the PS5, the sound was even better with improved bass overall.
The INZONE software makes things significantly better. There, I was able to instantly improve the audio profile as there is a full-fledged EQ. You can also activate the Sony 360 Spatial Audio. After signing up, downloading a phone app, and taking pictures of my ears, I finally got it done. The annoyance turned into satisfaction once I experienced the 3D audio. In the past, I have been underwhelmed by simulated surround sound, but I think Sony has done a very good job this time.
The microphone quality is average at best. While it does the job and there are no hiccups or distortions, my voice needed a bit more body. Although there are options on the software, I would not use them for podcasting or streaming, but they are more than capable for gaming. I do like the lift-to-mute feature of the boom mic.
I must also point out that having a 3.5mm audio makes them very versatile as I tried them with all devices that have a 3.5mm jack with no issues at all.
In the end, being a Sony headset, I had high expectations. At the current price, they are average. The sound is good -not great, but customizable. The 360 Audio is actually good. Comfort is nice although a bit shifty. I will say that the design and build quality are top-notch. They are certainly worth a try if you’re looking for a Sony-themed budget friendly headset. You just might like them.

These SONY Inzone H3 headphones are nice. They look upscale at first glance with the white domes and headband, contrasted with the nicely padded black headband, black boom mic, and the black earcups. Perfect pairing for a PS5 or PC gamer.
The gaming headphones weigh about 299 grams. They're adequate size/weight and fit over the ear nicely. The domes house a 40mm driver unit and it really plays through the gaming audio very well. There is a dial volume control on the back of the left dome, which is easily accessible with the left thumb while gaming. The boom mic is clear and picks up my voice very well. The microphone can be flipped up for muting purposes, and flipped down when ready to talk. The cushioning on the headband and ears is great for longer gaming sessions. These headphones have a 3.5mm audio plug on them which turns out to be very handy since I can easily plug them into my iPhone for listening as well.
Another nice feature about these Sony Inzone H3's is that they are Discord Certified to ensure that you're getting proper voice communication when gaming with your group online. In the box you are getting the Inzone H3 Headphones, and the USB audio box that can be plugged into the computer USB port. There is also the Inzone Hub PC website where you can customize your sound experience to your liking and choosing. Fine tune the EQ to your preference with ease. I have been using the 360 Spatial Sound for gaming and I'm loving how it feels like I'm on the ground and in the moment while playing my First Person Shooter games. Another perk is that Sony is using less plastics in their product packaging and making more use of recyclable materials.
I recommend these as great gamer headphones, with a semi-budget friendly price. The style is very nice and looks classy. Hard wired headphones that are always ready to go and never need to be charged, which keeps me in the game at all times. Sony did a great job with these Inzone H3 Wired Gaming Headphones.

I’ve been gaming with this headset for the last week or so and although I mostly like them, I was expecting better sound quality. They are loud, quite loud to be honest. I set them at about 75% volume on my Ps5 and Xbox and they are loud enough. I play a lot of action and shooter games so I typically like a headset that has some oomf to it. Especially when shooting guns or explosions happening in game. I like to feel immersed in the game I am playing and these fall a little short. Yes they are loud, but they sound very trebly. They lack bass, and mids. So everything just sounds loud and “clear” and kinda hurts my ears at loud volumes. If you don’t mind that, then maybe you’ll love these headphones. They are very comfortable, and the microphone sounds nice , crisp and loud. I like that it has a volume knob on the earcup and not on the wire. The microphone boom folds up and out of my line of sight also which is nice. The earcups are very some and comfortable. They are large enough to cover my ears completely without them pressing on my lobes. The headband is also very comfortable and feels sturdy. I like the modern design, they look cool sitting on my desktop beside my Ps5. It comes with a usb dongle that works with downloadable software for PC. To be fair, the headset sounds a little better with the included USB dongle. But it still doesn’t have much bass, at least in my experience. You’ll have much more control of sound when connected to a PC with the usb dongle. All In all, would I recommend them? Yes and No. if you are a competitive FPS gamer, you might enjoy the loud and clear “spatial audio” and not mind missing the booming bass and mids of other headsets. And they are very comfortable for long game sessions. But if you plan on also using these for music and watching movies, you mind be disappointed with these.

The Sony H3 are a set of lightweight headphones for gaming and everyday use.
Unlike other SONY branded headphones, this one looks right at home with its PlayStation lineup of gaming accessories. The headphones can be used with a PlayStation 5, but given the USB sound adaptor, it is also useable on a gaming PC.
Opening the box was a delight. I love eco-friendly packaging. In this day and age, with everything wrapped in clamshell unrecyclable plastic, it is nice to see a manufacturer use cardboard and other recyclable materials for the packaging of these headphones. The build quality is impressive. The headphone is all plastic, but it's built well. There is plenty of headband padding, and the ear muffs are the soft fabric to allow breathability. The left ear cup carries a microphone and a volume dial. The box includes a USB soundcard that you can plug your headphones into to utilise the microphone on a computer that does not have a unified headphone / microphone audio output port.
On the first listening impression, I was not impressed. It felt extremely flat, with no character or tonality, despite the good looks on the outside. Running it through a few hours of use, I found the sound quality improved significantly. It needed a break-in. The response frequencies are not bad, and it goes down to 25hz, but in reality, the headphones are useless for those low notes, it just rumbles, not producing sound and SONY in their official specs say 10-20,000 Hz response, I believe that may be true but its not outputting sound at that frequency, it's just vibrating. Even after hours of break-in, the overall sound output was brighter than I had hoped. It's fine for everyday use, but it is not an audiophile headphone that is balanced. It sides slightly on the brighter end of the audio spectrum.
Don't get me wrong, the sound quality is not bad, but for my taste, it is still incredibly bright. The highs were all there, but the lows and low-mids were missing, which can cause listening fatigue. Overall the headset is worth it for two reasons, the build quality, which is quite solid, and the lightweight nature of the headset; it's comfortable for an entire day's use.
InZoneHub:
The new headphones allow you to install the optional INZONE Hub software. To experience unique spatial surround sound modes, this software is necessary. This feature works best with the included USB Dongle soundcard, but I found it worked with the regular audio output. On laptops with a unified microphone + headphone output, the microphone works out of the box, but on a desktop, the USB adaptor is required to use the microphone feature.
I had higher expectations on the INZONE software. Honestly, the spatial surround works but given that the headphones lack the audio imaging and quality I was hoping for, the surround effect is a gimmick. The in-software bass boost did not improve the low-end situation, it still sounded quite bright. Honestly, I preferred using it normally without the software. I didn't get to test the headphones out on the PS5, but it seems the controller has an audio output to provide for similar in-game surround effects.
The headphone for everyday use is not bad. I joined a few meetings with it, and it worked fine; people could hear me well. Gaming with the headphones is comfortable, and I was able to game for hours, but the overall sound quality is apparent even with the INZONE software. The volume output is lower than other headphones I have used in the past.
Maybe my expectations from SONY were higher, given that I have used various SONY branded headphones for years, including the fantastic WH1000XM4, the WH710N, ZX110, and my all-time favourite MDR 7506 Studio. In comparison, I’ll say this has the worst of the audio qualities I’d expect from such a good-looking and well-built headphone.

Hi TheStigenator,
We're glad that you like the design and comfort of the headphones. We do appreciate your review about the INZONE Hub software. It's also unfortunate that you are not satisfied with the sound quality of the headphones. Aside from the app's equalizer function, these steps may help improve your experience with the sound quality:
Hope this helps. If still not resolved or your need further assistance, please email the below information to [email protected].

The Sony Inzone H3 Wired Gaming headset is an interesting, the grey/white with black accent color makes it look like it's a Sony PS5 headset, it's best for use with a gaming PC. Not that you couldn't use it with your PS5 (it has 3.5mm connector) but for best results you need to use the USB Audio connector to get spatial/surround sound.
Comfort and fit wise, I really love the Sony H3's. They use foam breathable earcups which I really love, it means your ears don't get hot and sweat during gameplay. The boom mic is on the left, as is the volume control and the mic is not bidirectional - so you have to have it on the left. The headband padding is really good and the H3's are lightweight and comfortable to wear. There are no LEDs or RGBs anywhere on the device.
Using the Sony H3's in game play (Windows 11) you get really great spatial audio thanks to the included Sony USB audio adapter. It's worth noting that the USB audio adapter comes with it's own cord, that's 6 feet long. Coupled with the headphones own 4 feet cable, that means you have 10 feet of audio cable - probably the longest I have ever seen in a gaming headset. If you have a desktop PC on your floor, you will have plenty of cable play. Oddly, the cable from the H3's themselves is a little thinner and less premium feeling than the one from the USB adapter.
To get the best results with the H3's you should download the free Inzone Hub Software.
Link: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/others-software/inzone-hub/downloads
The software is basic but does let you tweak treble, bass, and other equalizer settings. You can also set custom profiles and 'attach' them to apps so the headset can be fine tuned to your game. Playing Valorant, the audio sounded rich and full, and chatting via Discord was clear.
Overall, I really like the H3's. I love the foam breathable ear cups, which is enough to make me recommend the H3's over other headsets. Great audio, plenty of cable play, and a premium look without the premium price tag. I would definitely get them if you're a PC gamer and they will look at home with your PS5 should you need a console gaming headset.
PS. The headset ships in a box that's all cardboard, no plastic at all. Worth giving Sony credit for minimizing the use of plastics (outside of the H3's themselves of course). There are also "InZone" stickers in the box if you want to decorate your PC.

One of the first things I like about these headphones is their design, despite being a large wired headphones, I would say above average, they are very comfortable and aesthetic. The black and white color combination has been one of my favorites, the earcups are comfortable even after prolonged use, the microphone sounds very well and is muted just by flipping-up the boom microphone which I find convenient.
Regarding the performance I can say that it does its job outstandingly delivering a clear and strong sound quality, something important to mention is that I am using these headphones on PC as they are also compatible with the ps5 console. On PC to get the most out of them the use of the usb adapter is required, which to be honest does improve the audio quality, this combined with the INZONE hub software that allows you to customize the headphones to your needs, greatly enhances the experience.
Regarding the software I have noticed that it is very easy to enable or disable the sound effects as in the bottom left, you can select from three possible modes, I recommend checking before you start using the headphones either for gaming or playing multimedia content.
Once you have the desired settings and a good equalization, the experience is very satisfactory, I recommend using the software to increase the mid, high and bass, it helps a lot. The cable is long enough and made of a material that seems to be resistant but it doesn't tangle, the only con I found is that the USB adapter is very simple and feels very fragile, it is a small box that connects the pc with the headphones but it seems that a bad move can break. From there on it seems to me a solid product that fulfills what it promises, it can be customized, it has an elegant but minimalist look, on the left side there is the microphone and on the back of the same side a small wheel to adjust the volume, really simple, I definitely recommend it.

Precision sound creates an amazing realistic audio experience. Sony's app "360 Spatial Sound" allows me to personalize how my headset sounds. By taking a photo (which is cleaver to say the least) of each ear, they tailor the effects through the IZONE Hub software. Its like wearing a soundbar speaker system without the bulk.
While you can plug the headset into any 3.5mm audio jack, the included USB adapter provides the extra power to hear sound the way the game designer or director intended it to be heard. Feel and hear spectacular audio like you do every day in nature. Planes fly overhead, left to right, front to back. "Feel" raindrops with your ears. Clear highs and mega bass. The digital world is as close to real as I had hoped for as an audiophile.
Ear cuffs are soft and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The headband ratches to just the right fit around your ears and head without a crushing feel. A RED (R) and GREY (L) are discreetly embossed near each ear piece. I like that the red is used for the right side so I remember how to don the headset. A flip up and down microphone mutes when in the up position.
Sony makes both a wired and wireless version of the headset. The wired draws power from you console or PC. Nothing to charge. I prefer wired. The USB adapter gives a few more feet of cable, great when gaming.
Enjoy knowing someone is creeping behind you. Communication online is clear and reliable. Love the white color with contrasting grey SONY logo. The INZONE H3 is an afforable addition.

SONY - INZONE H3 WIRED GAMING HEADSET – WHITE
MODEL:MDRG300/W
HEADLINE:
VERY GOOD HEADSET - BEST FOR GAMING
OVERVIEW
The SONY - INZONE H3 WIRED GAMING HEADSET is a very comfortable and well-built gaming headset. It is very stylish and looks and sounds great, especially when gaming. I did find listening to music to be underwhelming. Everything musically was pretty muddled there was even static as I moved around. Once I loaded up some top games everything suddenly changed. The directional audio quality was very good and clear, the bass was good, dialog was clear.
The SONY - INZONE H3 WIRED GAMING HEADSET can be connected as an analog wired set, or with the included USB to analog adapter. In theory this should produce a superior sound, but I found very little difference with either mode. I downloaded the Sony INZONE Hub Software and played with the equalizer settings which helped fine tune the listening experience.
SUMMARY
I recommend the SONY - INZONE H3 WIRED GAMING HEADSET especially if your primary use is mostly for gaming. If you need a headset that is equally geared for games and music, then other sets in the same price range might give a better overall experience.

So this is Sony Forte into gaming sound on PC as well as for PS5/PS4. And so far it’s been delightful using this product for gaming. they really sound amazing when using! I’ll talk about PC gaming on these headphones in a second but I’ll talk about the overall build quality first.
They feel great, I can’t speak highly enough about the look and feel. I know some people are put off by the white color scheme, but it overall matches the theme of the PlayStation 5 which looks great nearby. If you have a full white and black setup this is PERFECT to complement it. I’ve used this with a PS5 version of a Backbone that gives the iPhone a headphone jack. Gives me the ability to use INZONE H3 outdoors as well. It really is a beautiful design first and foremost with a sliver Sony logo.
Cushions to the air cups are very comfortable and thick lining. Using them for hours feels good while gaming and there are no issues with heaviness to the head or ears. Sony has the right to brag about comfortability because they sure are especially with the headband being so smooth to the touch. Doesn’t feel awkward with glasses either. On the left side of the earcup is a physical volume toggle and a boom mic you can swivel up and down. There is a blank white space on the right side so I guess you can give it some personalization with a sticker or something.
The mic sounds great! Having a Conversation was clear enough for the other party to hear me and communicate well.
They sound truly amazing for wired headphones. And I mean really strong bass when gaming. Playing a game like “Stray” to hear every natural sound in the environment was phenomenal. Rain and wind on games like “Death Stranding” could actually just be a relaxing ambient sound by itself. Was in the middle of replaying “Resident Evil Village” in the creepy ridge house just even MORE terrifying due to the fact you can actually hear “the creature” creeks on the floor in another room.
360 Spatial Sound is in full effect here as it makes you feel like you are surrounded by the sound in all directions even above you. Sony wasn’t kidding with this product and it seems they want to get a little bit more serious with gaming sound. Can’t really hear too much of the outside world. INZONE H3 also works perfectly with a PC and comes with a USB audio box/DAC to connect to a PC. Spatial sound has to be turned on in the INZONE Hub software. The INZONE software has tons of features for customization for sound profiles and chats balance. Works for discord.
Once done with the setting you are good to go. Not much to connect just connect the 3.5mm headphone jack and you are good to go. No charging headphones for a gaming session which is incredible. It is a great alternative to the Sony Pulse PS5 headphones even if they are wired. For $100 you are getting a nice matching set with your PS5. I like the INZONE H3 and am excited to see more products they can come up with for gaming. Definitely recommend these headphones to gamers; especially if you’re sick of some of the hassle with wireless headphones for gaming. Great product.

After seeing the different kinds of headphones and buds from different brands, be it from work or personal use, I have forgotten how beautiful Sony products are. These headphones are so nicely done. The build quality is superb with attention to the details such as the hinges, the texture, the cushion and fabric, the lines—even the shade of the white—all of it together makes it such a beautiful piece to look at. Even the to the touch, each part is beautifully made, I started to despise the random online headphones my buddies would get (even other branded ones, I’d say).
As for the sound quality, there is much to say about how clean the audio is. The music and sound is so clear. And the bass is perfectly blended. I am wondering if it is just because these are wired ones so the quality is much better from wireless ones? I don’t know—all I can say is that these headphones produce crisp sound. Voice chat is clear and my voice is VERY clear too according to my Fortnite buddies.
I also tried the Spatial Audio--- it just takes too much to install it. The process is pretty cool because I actually had to take photos of my ears, and Sony analyzed it so I will have an actual personal listening profile. (By the way, Sony, the photo taking is a little painful—the head turning and all that, must be the detection process). But I did try turning on the Spatial Audio and it sounded like the speakers are away from me. You know that feeling when you are at the mall or in the stadium—where you can actually pinpoint where the sound is away from you—it’s that feeling. I probably am not doing that much justice to it, but it actually helps with gaming because I can somewhat tell the distance of a car or an opponent when they are heading towards me—and it does follow the sound pretty well as I turn my character around. Just to note though, the Spatial Audio is not detected if I do not put the adapter on—so this dongle is actually an adapter for the ¾ jack. The Headphones are wired with the end being a ¾ jack. The adapter connects to a USB A port, and the other end is the usual headphone jack. Only when the Jack is on does the PC recognize an InZone device connected, thus activating the Spatial audio setting. Well, on the PS4, is works like regular headphones, but with still pretty good surround quality.
Anyway, I know wired headphones may almost be a thing of the past—but these ones are keeping them alive. I don’t have to charge them and they sound great, plus I sound great. That’s all that I need from gaming headphones. I recommend this one!

I really really want to give this a five star rating, but I just can't seem to do so. 5 stars would indicate that this is the perfect product, price point, and nothing wrong with it whatsoever. The thing is, I have other products and builds to compare this to, and so overall I give this four stars, but a really solid one. It's on the higher end of 4 stars, not lower.
I would rate this a mid-tier set of headset. I've tested many headsets over the years especially with friends by me turning on the microphone and asking to describe how I sound and seeing how sound clarity is overall. When it comes to headsets, it's a two way street. Not only do I want to hear footsteps behind me, but also want others to be able to hear me successfully as well.
I tested this on my PS5 playing Destiny 2. The sound is fine to me. When I talk through the mic, others can hear me fine as well, but personally my PlayStation Gold wireless headset seems to be better. However, if this was the H9 INZONE, that may be a different story.
Aesthetically as well, it's not that great to me. It looks like ear muffs, and doesn't have the sturdiness that I would expect of it. I'm a bit underwhelmed for the price you pay for this.
I tried this on PC as well and installed the INZONE Hub version 1.0.3.0 and I feel that this is required for optimal sound, so please be sure to download this for your INZONE headsets. I feel that you unlock more of its sound potential on PC that just plugging it into your PS5 and playing.

THE BREAKDOWN:
These Sony INZONE H3 headphones are pretty comfortable, and I love the earcups. They are lightweight but have solid feel to them. The top band/crown is made of a plastic and soft faux leather material. The earcups were very comfortable and I love the fact they have the sport material instead of the normal faux leather material because the faux leather normally flakes off. I don’t see this being an issue with these earcups. The cord was a thin rubber wire that is very cheap feeling, and they do not detach from the headphones themselves. Two reasons why I don’t personally like this feature, one: if you get it caught on anything it will pull the headphones off your head, two: if the cord goes bad you have to replace the whole headphones. There is a bump on the earcup with the mic that has the volume wheel. I do like it as it is easy to find.
The headphones themselves are comfortable but did squeeze my head in the beginning. I wore them for long periods of gaming and music listening. I normally have issues at the top of head hurting after hours of use but with these they felt the same after 5 hours as they did after one. I did not have any sweat forming at the earcups which is a huge plus. The foam in the earcups assisted in the comfort.
The sound quality was just okay for these headphones with the 40mm drivers. I think the sound was kind of bland with the mids taking over the details with the 3.5mm connection. When using the USB dongle this software allows users to make your own sound profiles that saves right to the dongle then you can take it and plug it in to the PlayStation or XBOX. I was able to adjust the detail a little better with the USB dongle. Overall, for the sound I felt like the best experience was with the 3.5mm connection.
The mic worked great for me. I personally like flip to mute mics. The communication while using the 3.5mm cable was excellent and clear. The communication with the USB sounded a little on lower side compared to the 3.5mm.
PRO’s:
-Great material for the earcup
-USB Dongle that saves profiles
-Flip up to mute mic
CON’s:
-Thin 3.5mm cord
-Audio cord doesn’t detach
-Sound was very bland
SUMMARY:
Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

Good sound quality, mutable mic by lifting is nice. The included usb to 3.5 mm jack is nice. Haven't used it on personal computer to compare the USB vs just the 3.5mm jack. I can't seem to find a comfortable way for the headset to sit on one of my ears but that's because I wear the headset higher up than I should. Also the pads are super soft. They remind me of a lightly toasted marshmallow where it's super soft insides with a slightly firmer skin
