Very good but...

They are made with the same drivers as the XM6. The microphone sounds good, and I appreciate that the microphone can be removed when you don't need it. They are extremely light and comfortable. I like that it is not the typical plastic headband, that adds more comfort and takes away a weight to support from your skull. I put 4/5 stars because they are a little expensive for the drivers that are 30mm. With that price, you can get bigger drivers and get a more enriching sound.

Really good headphones with really good audio (r6)

The audio is crisp, but I’m not sure if the H9 and H9II mics have any differences. It has an appealing design, but it has one problem which isn’t that big of a deal. If you plug it into a PS5, you won’t have audio, so you cannot leave the USB-C plug in the PS5 at all times. And it’s not as comfortable as the previous H9.

Good Headset

The old H9 you had game to chat mix and could see your volume being adjusted on screen. This isnt the case as of now. I'm hoping there will be a firmware update in the near future but, until then this is what we've got. The 30mm drivers perform excellent. I've seen reviews saying the base is lacking but thats not the case. Detail retrieval was great. The anc is top tier. The fit is fantastic and couldnt ask for better comfort. The mic is also good. Overall I am pleased with these. Now if theyd just do an update for better PS5 integration.

Every single one prior the instant it went on my head I could feel the unsettling over clamping and I knew it was a matter of time before I would get a headache. NOT WITH THESE. I can use them all day for work and still throw them back on for a gaming session at the end of the day. ON TOP OF being the best audio quality I have heard. I use them wired so I can’t take advantage of the Inzone app but the “Steelseries Sonar” app does the job perfectly with equalizing and adjusting the quality. Some people may see that they are 30mm drivers and think wow that isnt very much oomph but let me tell you they are crystal clear when pinpointing footsteps while maintaining the immersion. Top tier headset. Might buy another set just for fun.

Excellent Headset!

Battery life seems largely average compared to other headsets, roughly 25+ hours before getting a low battery warning. Maybe a better value if it dropped in price $30-$50.

Most comfortable PS5 headset out there!

I like that it can be used on a bunch of platforms but I will 100% use it on PS5 only. The comfort of these are top notch and noise cancelling works great. Not a big thing but I like that there is a red light on the mic so you can see when your muted. I also like that it has a physical dial for volume...not + or - buttons. It comes with a bag to store it in but not a big deal for me. It's expensive but you get what you pay for.

NO GAME/CHAT VOLUME CONTROL ON PS5!

They fit and sound okay, and the mic is an improvement from the H9, but they're not good enough for this price. How are you going to charge $350+ and you can't use them to control the game/chat volume on PS5, only PC? That's ridiculous to me. I had the previous H9, and you could change the game/chat volume with the dedicated buttons, but not with the new, more expensive H9 II version?? For the price, they should have the same capabilities as the previous version and more.

Simply press the PS button on your controller, select the Sound icon, and use the Audio Balance slider to fine-tune your game and chat audio mix. An excellent headset for any use case

The mic quality is also good , would recommend. I had the old H7 and this irons out all the issues I had with it

The build quality on these headphones is great. They are made of a durable plastic. The biggest benefit to them being plastic seems to be the weight--they are super light and don’t create a lot of fatigue after long wear. The headband is also super comfortable. There is a button on each side of the headband that allows it to adjust freely to get the perfect comfort. My only wish on the headphones build is that the headphones folded; because they don’t fold it makes them a bit more difficult to transport as they have a large footprint. Overall, they feel super balanced and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I really appreciate the inclusion of physical controls on the headset. I especially like that the mute button is a toggle so you can feel when it’s on mute vs. not on mute. The windows/iOS companion apps allow you to customize the settings of the headphones. Among configurable options are adjusting the EQ. There are EQ presets for specific games, or you can listen to sample sounds and configure the EQ based on your preferences. Connectivity is super easy to set up. Connecting via 2.4ghz is as simple as plugging in the dongle into a device. It didn’t seem to require installation of any drivers or anything. Bluetooth is as simple as holding the pairing button. I didn’t have any issues with connectivity during my testing. I also appreciated the inclusion of a wired connection option. The sound quality is amazing. Sony said the drivers in these are the same as the WH-1000XM6, which are some of the best over-ear headphones on the market. It has virtual 7.1 surround sound which is great for gaming as you can hear sounds from where they are coming from. There is also noise cancellation built in which works super well too. I could hear the quietest noises clearly and directionally where they were coming from, which I feel like gives me an advantage when I’m gaming. The microphone works really well, too. My friends who helped me tested the microphone said I came through super clear. According to Sony, it has AI-powered background noise cancellation for the microphone and I think that’s apparent in the sound quality. I also love that the microphone is removable. It also has a built in light to indicate when you’re on mute which is super cool. Overall, I’d recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a top tier gaming headset.
