Google Assistant with some power
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony Google Assistant sweaker is a powerful little speaker with all the functionality of Google Assistant. The sound is great, it gets loud without distorting and has a very clean powerful sound. It will connect with any music service that supports Google home. But, know that there is no aux cord connection. This is a streaming first device. The clock on the front works well. It's a little difficult to read from far away but, it's nice to have on a bedside table. The controls are the biggest downside to this device. Sony has implemented various gesture controls to play, pause skip, and change volume instead of physical or touch buttons. It's a gimmicky idea that does not work well in practice. It takes way to much practice to figure out and is no where as easy as normal buttons. I've found myself using only the voice control for controls l. This works great most of the time, unless you have the volume turned up over about 60%. In this case the microphone can't hear my voice and I have to fight with the gesture controls. Overall, very nice Google Assistant speaker with great sound. If you're in the market for a Google Assistant speaker, this should be a real consideration.
