Customers consistently note the superb sound quality, deep bass, and comfortable fit of these earbud headphones. Many appreciate their lightweight design and reasonable price. A common suggestion is the addition of volume control on the cord. The tangle-free cord is also a frequently praised feature.

These headphones sound amazing, fit very well, and come with a long cord. They have a remote allowing you to answer phone calls and skip songs! My only criticism is that the remote doesn't have volume control. With that feature I'd probably give five stars!

These are not the greatest earbuds in the world but they definitely do not under perform. The sound is great, like most sonys, they fit really well in the ears and because they are oddly shaped you will not put the wrong earbud in the wrong ear without knowing. They are also have an L shaped cable that greatly prevents shorts when in your pocket. These are great ear buds, my recommendation is they you get the protection plan though because that are not super resilient and it will save you money if something small happens like you drop an ear bud in a puddle (this happened to me once) and only one works.

Not too heavy on the bass push, but it is there. These fit me well and they have held up well over time. Overall frequency response seems to be very good. Great value for the price on these buds.

I don't think I'll be satisfied using any other headphones after purchasing these earbuds. They have the sound quality of a pair Beats headphones, for the price of a pair of Apple iPhone earbuds.
I use the eq on my phone anytime I watch a movie or listen to music, because I want to get the best sound quality I can get being a music and movie lover. The sound quality from these earbuds is absolutely amazing.
The bass is powerful yet rich and clear, with high and mid tones allow you to hear each and every note without any of that irritating static.
Would make as a perfect & affordable Stocking Stuffer for anyone this Christmas!!

Wow do these earbuds deliver great sound. I wear them all the time, they are very comfortable. The bass on them is just right, not too little not too much. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Love these headphones, because they were inexpensive due to the sale price. They are obviously not perfect, but they provide a decent amount of base for my taste (I don't like super heavy bass and at the same time I like to have bass), and a nice wide range. They also fit my ears well for me, not always the case with in-ear headphones. It reminds me of the good ol' days of Sony, where high quality was standard across the board of their price-value hierarchy. These, from a sound perspective, meet that. Whether they last long is TBD, but I am happy with this purchase, enough that I got another pair as a gift to a family member.

This is the 3rd set of earbuds I have purchased for my son who is a gamer and uses these for his IPAD academy at school and Sound Voltex at Round 1 Arcade. He is very selective about his products and difficult to buy for, as a result. However, he says that these by far have the BEST sound and are the only ones that fit in his rather large ears without coming out. He does not like the Apple earbuds because they fall out of his ears and just don't fit well. The only reason this is his third set is because like any high school age boy, he's left them at the arcade! The price point is good for replacing them, too!

I'm an extreme audiophile,& at the age of 56 I've heard the best Beats, Bose, Sony & countless great names in the over the ear, on the ear, ear buds, different types of bud configuration, and Sony always stays true to Studio Specifications as a standard reference point to regards of all their types of headphones. While the newer Names refuse to give up the real specs because they are dependent on acoustic rendering then standard 5000Hz - 30,000Hz@ 1-3watts,big stuff, or 100mw for hand held stuff. All that written to make a clear point. These pair of $49.99 ear buds will without effort stand against the expensive big boys. Professional listener's will notice the incorperation of specs & acoustics with a respectable bass mid & high tones, did I mention Bass,or I did ,just had to hint on it for when you hear these bad boys, Much More than I would have ever expected. Now I can rest in bed with these and stay on the high end audio level. THANK YOU SONY,THANK YOU BEST BUY

I needed some earbuds to replace the stock ones I lost from my One M8. Sound, fit, and bass performance are a nice upgrade over the old earbuds.

I bought these earbuds after many other purchases of cheaper models. I finally bought a higher end model and found that it was worth the money. The sound is great and the noise canceling works well. I mow grass all summer long and can hear the music without turning the volume up to a dangerous level. I never had earbuds with a mic, and found it was much easier to use it than to try to dig my phone out of my pocket it time to answer it. I gave it a four rating simple because I feel the cord it too stiff. If there is a lot of motion with the cords, it can pull the earbuds out of my ears. Not something to worry about, but was noticeable when wearing them often while doing activities.

This is my 2nd pair of these headphones (I left my first pair on the bus :/ ). I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality coming out of these tiny earbuds, and the bass blew me away. The fit is excellent as well. I often have issues with earbuds feeling comfortable, and these definitely do. These are often on sale, and I recommend them for anyone wanting a high quality pair of earbuds for not a lot of money.

Being someone who goes through ear buds like candy, I generally throw away money on cheap ear buds instead of investing.
Decided to break my usual buying habit and try these- and I am SO glad I did!
Not only is the general sound quality fabulous and the bass wonderful, you can turn the volume up as loud as you'd like and not get a drop in sound quality!
As well, you can hear each instrument of the music, not just one loud mish-mash of noise, something I appreciate when listening to classical music.
An added bonus is the ergonomic design. Hours of wear and no ear soreness, the shape of the ear buds is perfect for my tiny ears!

These earbuds sound very good and they definitely deliver the low range sounds after you get them setup correctly. "Setting them up correctly" is finding which of the rubbers you need on each bud in each ear so that you achieve the best seal on both... this is how you get the best sound from earbuds. The weight and comfort is fine, they're not the lightest of all earbuds I've tried but they don't cause any issues due to their weight. The cord is pretty much tangle free in my use of them, it has a texture that reminds me of some of the old vacuum cleaners, haha... that is to say, it has ribbed lines running parallel (or vertically) along the length of the cord. There's an inline remote with mic that works on my iPhone and iPad with no issues. The 3.5mm audio connector is L-shaped and slim in profile so it works with all of my iPhone cases including my sometimes difficult to use with headphones Lifeproof Fre case. I won't reach into my vocabulary of various audiophile terms to ramble on about the sound of these buds, what I will say however is they sound great. I have my beloved Klipsch S4 earbuds and these sound slightly more fun and exciting than those, the high end is not as accurate as my Klipsch's but they low end is way better in my opinion. The midrange is nice here, and given that's where a good majority of the music most of us enjoy takes place I would say these reproduce that range well... maybe slightly slightly recessed mids due to a boosted low end but nothing I'm going to really knock them for overall. Let me just sum it up here by saying... you could spend a lot more and end up with something that doesn't compete with these in all areas. These are a yes if you ask me, do not regret, do buy!

-Pros-
Great Bass
Price
-Cons-
Limited movement
Only one size
I own the big brother of these (MDR-XB950BT) and as far as audio quality is concerned they are nearly identical aside from the lack of bass boost. The audio is very pleasant even without the bass boost option. The price is very good when compared to other brands, but I was able to get these from my local Best Buy store for $32, about $20 cheaper than what is advertised online at the time of this posting and they wasn't open box or refurbished.
I originally bought these for when I work out. I didn't want to use my 950's because of sweat mainly, but also wasn't sure if they would stay on my head during vigorous exercise. Unfortunately these earbuds disappointed in that respect. They would constantly fall out during any kind of heavy movement exercise and I found that even simply standing still and turning my head caused them more often than not to move around in my ear into less suitable positions. Also there are no different size buds like many other brands have.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase because I now just simply use them as traveling earbuds rather than workout earbuds. I wouldn't recommend them for working out, but if you are looking for some earbuds for when you are stationary then these are very good value if you can get them close to the price I got them at. I would say that $50 is a bit much for what is on offer. I would check your local Best Buy for mark downs. Another thing to keep in mind is that some Best Buy stores do price matching if you find cheaper elsewhere.

Bought these on the go at a Best Buy Kiosk at JFK Jetblue terminal. I was amazed with the sound as soon as I plugged into my iPhone. Great bass and sound you won't be disappointed. Recommend to all who want good quality and do not want to break the bank at the same time.

As far as I can tell, the quality is good. It's far better than my previous headphones, but don't take my word as gospel, because I've yet to pay for a set of headphones any more expensive than these. They seem to also be relatively durable in comparison to other headphones I've bought. Although, I've been babying these. My only real complaint is that the drivers on these are huge; so much that I can't gaurantee these will comfortably fit in your ears. It took me a bit of time to get used to them. If you usually have no problem fitting "in-ear" headphones in your ears, these will probably be great for you.

Not sure wth these headphones are made of but they've withstood the test of time. Still rocking, still with superb sound and I'm not sure how there's zero damage/shortage in the wiring after daily curling of the cable for 4+ years but I won't complain too much.
Very solid design and incredible sound.
