Who wants to start all over? This was a lifesaver from years of playing the PS2 and having data saved on the memory card. My daughter loves to play her games on the PS3 as a reward for a great week at school. Buying this made it so that she is not having to start from scratch everytime she plays. It is quick and easy and cheap. Well worth the buy.

Does an awesome job moving your PS2 and PS1 game data over to the PS3. It does have some issues reading any memory card over 8MB, which requires you to move any data on the bigger cards to a smaller card. Overall, this product does what it needs to do, even with the minor glitch. This is a must have for any PS3 owner who wants to play their older games on the PS3 system.

this is a great product but it needs to state that it doesn't work for cards that are more than 8mb. i spend at least 30 minutes trying to figure out why i couldn't move my gh files over. just my off chance i tryed one of my smaller cards and it worked great. so i don't have to completely start over.

It does what it is suppose to do, lets you read your old memory card. It's not stylish or pretty but it gets the job done.

I have been a fanatic of PlayStation ever since I was 6, and, boy, they have developed. This allows you to put your memory cards from PS/PS2 into the slot, and upload the data on your PS3, or simply play without copying it. either way, it is a must-have.

I bought this to save some space on my PlayStation 2 memory card and I also saved money by doing this. I would've bought another memory card, but I decided to save myself $10 and use my PlayStation 3 to hold onto the game files I do not use, but cannot delete because of the numerous hours spent. My memory cards are all product of Sony, so I cannot guarantee that it'll work with other products. Overall, it does what it needs to do... transfer.

Since this uses your USB cord that came with the PS3, why didn't they just make it a little 2" plug that didn't need to use your only wire (assuming you haven't bought an extra by now)? Other than that, this little guy is a great piece to have around if you're gonna be playin your old PS1/2 games on the 3. A little tricky to figure it out at first, but soon becomes second nature. Could have been in the box, but then we'll go down the route of HDMI cables and Bluray remotes so I'll leave it alone lol!

It works great. I was able to transfer all my data from my old memory cards to my PS3. I was also surprised and happy to find that you can also transfer your data to your memory cards as well! (The PS3 manual says that it cant). Overall a great and outstanding product!

This is a great item if you want to play older PS2 or PS games without having to start over.With the new system update,you can now copy from the hard drive to the memory card,which you couldn't do when this product 1st came out.NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this when i bought my 80 gb and it worked great transfered all my files with ease. Just use the usb cord from the controller. Only thing is once you've converted your ps2 games it just collects dust.

This item worked flawlessly. It's main purpose is to move data (game saves) from your PS2 memory card to the PS3. My main purpose was to move game saves back and forth between the two. Looking in the PS3 manual, it actually states that it isn't meant to move data from the PS3 to the PS2. When I read that it discouraged me. BUT, it worked perfectly. You just select the game save on the PS3 and select Copy. It asks you where to copy the data and you select the adapter with the PS2 memory card in it. That's it. The same works when copying from the PS2 memory card to the PS3.

Nice to have if you want to play your ps2 games on the ps3 for better quality without starting all over. This is a must but if you don't really play a lot of ps2 games, there is an update patch that allows you to save your ps2 files on the ps3 so you don't have to buy a brand new ps2 memory card and this converter.

If you have Playstation 2 Memory Cards with Valuable Game Save and too Lazy to start all over "playstation 2 games" then you'll need this, Its says whats its purpose, retrieve your PS2 Games Saves from PS2 Memory Card and transfer to the PS3 HDD/Hard Disk so you can use it on your ol games. XD

This is probably one of the most needed peripherals for the PS3 if you also own a PlayStation or PS2. It transfers game saves to AND from your physical memory card to the hard disk drive. All the games I owned were for PS2, so I couldn't just start them all over when I purchased the PS3. I got this Adaptor and Voila! All the saves are now on my PS3, and should I care to continue to further my progress on the PS2, I simply copy the saves to the physical memory card and play it there!

If you feel you need this It's a good buy, The price is much better then i would of thought.

It does exactly what you would buy it for, enables you to take your old ps2 or psone memory cards and transfer the games from them onto your ps3 hardrive so you can play your games without having to completly restart the games.

It helps me play games I used to like spyro and Midevil or that little blue guy that's fast.

I have two memory cards, 8MB and 64MB. For some reason, it doesn't like 64MB memory card at all. To move my save data on 64MB to PS3, I had to copy the data from 64MB to 8MB first on PS2 then plug 8MB memory card into this adapter to copy it to PS3.

i bought this a while ago and i got home pluged it in and it didnt work. I hope i just got a defected one but i am dissapionted.

This product is fast and easy to use and not complicated what so ever.
