I bought this because we tend to do a lot of family photos and other things that required you to either be away from the camera of take a picture and leave the shutter open for a very long time. This does the trick just right. It has a range so far of about 40 foot from the camera which is nice. It also has saved me the headache of setting the timer and then running to get into the photo and settled in. We took about 30 family photos over Christmas and this year, I didn't trip while running to get into the photo which was nice.

I read the previous reviews for this Sony remote and liked the positive feedback. It works flawlessly with my a6000. The range is great for my needs.

Ordered this remote online did not have Sony model in store, great addition to my a7 series camera. If you want wireless functionality with your Sony camera and products this is a must have.

The remote works in Bluetooth technology so no need to point the remote facing to camera. Also it helps to navigate to all the menu items with out touching the camera.

havent had a chance to try this a lot, but it works and am excited for family group photos as well as some tripod type photos I want to experiment with.

This is really helpful for me since I am a hybrid shooter mostly always alone while filming. This remote works perfectly for me for taking selfie photos and videos. Once my camera is set up on tripod, I shoot using the remote and even for playback. Works for good distances but not too far say 100 meters. No cons for now.

This works great with my Sony a6000 camera I really got it just to take pictures of me and my family when no one else is around to actually take the pictures so far it works wonderfully it does seem to have a bit of a delay but I'm pretty sure that it's me not doing something correctly

I know it does work for some a6100 series. It is worth the price but had to return.

i don't know how i lived without this remote ! i'm taking many more shots and can now pay attention to the overall image i'm trying to get, rather than hold still and hold my breath as not to disturb the image. works great !

This remote works perfectly with my Sony a6000 camera. You can find a cheaper non-Sony shutter remote, but I prefer to use the Sony remote for the Sony camera.

This is a great remote shutter release for the Sony a series mirrorless cameras. It works as a single shutter release, 2 sec delay release or video remote!

i don't know what i would do without this sony wireless remote !..leaves room for much more creative composition.

I use it with a Sony A7ii. I use it for self-portraits. It does the job as intended.

Works great with the camera at a distance on the tripod.

I just wish the menu functions operated the camera when shooting live photo and video instead of just being used for playback. I know Sony can do it and I'd be willing to pay extra for those functions.

It works quite well but I wanted the remote to also be able to do time lapse for taking astrophotography but it does not. Other than that it is very light and easy to use.
