Customers appreciate the PlayStation 4's excellent graphics, smooth controller, and ease of use. Many also found the system to offer good performance and value for its price. However, some customers noted that the online play requires a subscription and that the console lacks backwards compatibility. Concerns were also raised regarding the controller's battery life and limited storage capacity of the 500GB model.

I finally made the jump and got the PS4. It's wonderful. Combine it with PS+ and you really get your money's worth. I had to get this for MLB The Show '15, coming out on 3/31...I'm also looking forward to Star Wars Battlefront which should be released by year's end. Just a great system.
My one gripe is I can't stream movies from my PC. However, PS always had the Cinavia protection which was a pita. If they could allow streaming and remove the Cinavia bs, that would be ideal. Until then, I'll continue to use my 360.
I can't speak much for The Last of Us. I played it a little. It's pretty and well acted, but I'm not far at all. With my gaming ADD, I've been stuck on GTA V and Diablo III.

In my opinion getting the PS4 and a game was better than getting just the PS4. I think I am probably 20 mins into The Last Of Us: Remastered Edition. I have never played The Last of Us in any edition and now wish I had played it sooner. It has a really good story line. I love that all of my Multi-Player Stats transfer from the PS3 to the PS4. No issues with the servers the PS4 uses, unlike the lag or host jumping you experience in the PS3. I love that you can use any tablet with the PlayStation App as a second screen. I love that you can play your games via any WI-FI connection and connect to your PS4 and play your digital downloads on the vita. (might have to invest in one for when a boring/slow work day occurs). I like that my Sony Wireless Stereo Headset that I bought for my PS3 is compatible with the PS4. I can't wait to see what other features come along with the PS4 that I might not have discovered yet. good console. ABSOLUTELY love the PS4 Camera. (doubles as a mic while playing 2 player multi-player online gaming. Be aware that you must have a PlayStation Plus membership to play games online/multi-player modes. Also note that it is cheaper in the long run to just get the 1 year subscription. It was definitely worth saving up for.

Since most new games coming out are for only the new game systems, I needed a PS4.

The PS4 gameplay, graphics and online experience are great. Easy setup and faster game loads. I didn't give a 5 due to the lack of personal media and DLNA, still rumored to be coming.
Pros: Looks good, controllers, graphics, online.
Cons: It's no media center and doesn't stream over your network like PS3 and will not play media files off usb. You have to purchase PS Plus for online play. .

PS4 better than Xbox One

I have just recently purchased the PS4 and have owned the Xbox One for over a year. What a difference. The PS4 is so much quicker in the operations side of things. Menus load quicker, there is less lag in loading screens, it starts up in a heartbeat from being in sleep mode. The graphics are great although on the Xbox One they are too. You would have to do side by side to compare. I do say I like that most things are running on 1080p which looks nice on a 55 inch tv. The console is much smaller and there is no power brick like the Xbox One. The menus are a bit blocky and linear but it is easy to find the menus that I need. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I was a little iffy on getting the PS3 but after connecting and seeing all the features I knew I mad a right choice. Easy to use, great graphics, and everything you need is downloadable.

Finally upgraded from my PS3. Don't regret it at all. Been playing the bundled games (the Last of Us, and The Order), both are good; as well as Elder Scrolls Online. All worth it.

The Playstation 4 has the best library of games of the current generation of consoles. The graphics and sound are amazing on many of the games and the system is very easy to use.

The PS4 not only tops graphics from the previous generation but has a few exclusives that are top tier. I also prefer the controller style that hasn't changed much over the years.

The controller is vastly improved over the PS2 & PS3 controllers ("strafe right + look left = thumb collision" is no longer a problem.) I still hate the L1/R1 button placement (20 years later, those two buttons are STILL a carpal tunnel nightmare.) It's also missing a lot of the multimedia capability & streaming video support that its predecessor had (& that it's competitor currently has).
PS Network is still mediocre at best, especially when its performance is compared to XBox LIve or Steam (or heck, even Origin). Downloads for larger games are interminably long, and even when it's finished downloading it often isn't actually "finished" at all (example: when Injustice says it's finished downloading and is ready to play, it STILL will have 15GB left to DL and thus won't give you access to all modes of your "installed' game.)
HOWEVER! you want a Playstation for GAMING and it serves that pupose incredibly well. As such, since all my criticisms are mostly for stuff (multimedia & streaming) that are optional & ancillary, I will not dock stars for their lack of inclusion. However, PSN's performance most definitely warrants the docking of one star (it really is poor enough that I would dock 1.5 stars if I could). Sony really needs to step up its networking game. But even with all that, the PS4 is pretty sweet.

Love the graphics and the processor speed of the PS4. The only thing is that the controller doesn't seem to have as much battery life as the PS3. Other than that... Love it.

Picked up a Playstation 4 primarily to play the titles exclusive to Sony, as most of my gaming is done on Xbox one with friends. The last of us is a tremendous title, and I'm eagerly awaiting Uncharted 4 this fall. The ps4 is fast and delivers great graphics and gameplay, and Sony has made some big improvements to their controller this gen. Happy with my purchase.

As expected the console and game deliver! The graphics are amazing and so far the console has exceeded my expectations. Been a gamer since Pong and it is great to see what our technology has allowed! Highly recommend the PS4 for your gaming library.
Cons:
Doesn't currently allow to stream content from your network, but rumors are this feature might be added in the near future. The only other factor I would consider a "con" is that there is not enough hours in the day to get enough games in!

Definitely worth the price tag. No problems what so ever as of now and the controller is a definite upgrade from DS3. Interface is quite good, smoother than the PS3 XMB. There is allot of other features on the system that you can read all about in some wiki ir YouTube videod

I've been flipping back and forth between PS4 and XB1 for a year now. I was a PS guy before 360 and always regretted going over to Xbox. Most of my friends play on XB1 so I don't have many people I know on PSN but I'll say this... It doesn't matter. The PS4 is superior. The games are superior. The controller feels so much better. The interface is clean and intuitive. I absolutely love this console.
