Pros. My son loves this playstation. It has awesome graphics and online play is great. Cons. It can get pretty hot when you play for long hours, controller broke within 1st year but I guess if you play everyday it's going to happen. Overall pretty good upgrade from playstation 4.

The console is huge. I got thr God of War Ragnarok launch bundle and have been so amazed by the peocessing capacity of this console. If you haven’t upgraded from PS4, its time. Every single element of gameplay is improved. Ragnarok has been incredibly engaging with amazing graphics and excellent conematic properties. Highly recommend.

Never thought I would buy a ps5 I was always a Xbox person but I have to admit I love this ps5 the controller feels amazing the console all around is great a little to big in my opinion but that’s the only thing about it everything else it’s a great great product

PlayStation has done it again. There is no load time. Very powerful, almost like playing a PC. All kinds of new tricks. A whole lot different than PS 4. The game is very good. The new controller is the best. The 4k is really realistic. The only down side is that this thing is as big as a PC. Make alot of room.

It was more difficult to unbox this massive console (or maybe it was just me haha), however the initial setup was very easy! Once you tie your Sony account to the Playstation 5, it will show any game you have linked to your Playstation 4, if you have one of those as well. Keep in kind that additional storage is through either the premium M2 expansion or the more cost effective USB-based external hard drive storage (both sold separately), so if time is a factor, consider the M2 SSD storage route as you need to offload and reload games to the PS5 internal SSD memory. This console should last you for years. They really future proofed this console with features yet to be unlocked. Looks great in a horizontal position too!

As an owner and user of every generation of Playstation, I rank this machine as 2nd in regards to overall aesthetic (PS3 fat still ranks #1). One thing to be aware of is that this thing is physically HUGE. In my entertainment center I can accommodate a horizontal PS4 and a controller charging nest on the same shelf. With the PS5, it occupies the entire shelf with the controller tucked in sideways. As always, there is a need to be awareness of airflow as these machines get self-destructively hot when they are used for extended stretches of time. The controller has a cool new design, but the feeling doesnt deviate too much from the PS4 controller, which is not a bad thing. I'd be curious to see how white the finish stays after extended use. Moving save data from PS4 to PS5 is pretty straightforward- it can be done either via the cloud or USB thumb drive. PS5 was able to recognize PS4 physical disks and in several cases gave the option to download the PS5 version of the game for free (I tried this with Yakuza: like a Dragon and Miles Morales). The digital version of God of War: Ragnarok was included as advertized (wish it was physical copy) and I was able to download the game with the included code, but have yet tried to play it. The big downside of this machine is that the games dont seem to be utilizing the new technology enough. In other words, I dont notice much gameplay difference from PS4. Miles Morales seemed to have played the same as the PS4 version. I was told that Crash Bandicoot has additional content on PS5, but played the same. Loading times have improved, but the improvement may not be universal. For instance, Tekken 7 still takes the unacceptable amount of time to start a battle. Also, PS5 still will not accept older generation media- which sucks since I have kept all my old PS1-PS3 disks and would love the ability to run them all on the same box. PS3 fat did this wonderfully and because of the lack of this feature, a Sony Playstation will never get 5 stars from me. I waited for 2yrs but finally got with the times and picked up a PS5. But this was only in anticipation of Spiderman 2 this fall. Maybe as developers stop having to support PS4, that will give them a chance to finally come up with something to really announce the start of a new generation- but in reality PS4 could have probably lived another five years. In summary, if you are Sony gamer you will inevitably upgrade to PS5 at some point. Just make sure you have space for it.

The best purchase, the new controllers are felt with their triggers in the shooters, great quality of graphics and fluidity in this new console, I love it. God of war.

Always was a Xbox fan but the ps5 is amazing for gaming and i would absolutely recommend it to everyone!!! amazing graphics, top tier speed!

The console is amazing, but the controller is disappointing. I'll be honest, I prefer Xbox. The interface is much more user friendly and the controller is far superior. When I played the same games on Xbox and Playstation, the Xbox has better camera stabilization and controller sensitivity. The PS controller is almost too sensitive, and the right trigger is sticky. I expected better. BUT, Playstation has amazing exclusive games and a much better subscription platform. This version has the hard disc option but I'm not sure it's necessary. Playstation is pushing hard for all digital. The only downside is you'll need A LOT of storage for all those games. I bought the more expensive disc version because I'm an oldschool gamer and still like physical copies. Now I'd probably buy the all digital version instead.

The PS5 is awesome! Graphics are beautiful. God of War and Hogwarts Legacy really shows how far Playstation has come from the beginning. I do wish there was more storage but I understand that more can be put in.

I waited longer than I probably should have to upgrade from PS4 to PS5. I am very impressed with the graphics and performance. Even though I had to buy an extra hard drive, The machine is solid.

Finally, I was able to buy one in the tail end of 2022. I purchased this on 11/20/22 and I can say it was the best decision ever. Coming from someone who skipped the PS3 and PS4 (regrettably) I had a 360 and X1 cause that’s some of my no longer friends had. I waited until I could get my hands on one and I can say it lives up to all the hype. It give the same feeling that the ps1 and ps2 gave me ps2 being my first brand new console cause the ps1 was a hand me down. The PS5 UI is simple but excellent. The console design is great and the controller is the best controller I’ve ever had. I was trying to get the digital edition but when the god of war bundle for the physical edition become available I had to jump at the opportunity. Last but not Least that games that are available for this console are phenomenal.

I recall the joy as a child of getting an NES for Christmas, then a Sega Genesis later on. After that, my brother and I received a Nintendo 64. Each time, I am impressed almost exclusively by new graphics and that is it. I used to have a PS3, then a PS4 and now this PS5. As an avid PC gamer with a fully loaded desktop, I chose the PS5 instead of the Series X because of the quality of the exclusive titles as well as past experiences in that regard with prior systems. My PC definitely had better graphics than the PS4, but I find that statement questionable when it comes to this PS5. I knew the bundled game would be fantastic, but the graphical quality and cinematic qualities are incredible . The other game I've gone with is Horizon: Forbidden West and it is also incredible. You won't be disappointed by a God of War Ragnarok bundle, that's for sure. While it plays nice with my new LG OLED TV and makes for a great Bluray 4K player, what I like most about it just might be the controller. The haptic feedback as well as the feel of it in my hand is on a totally different level. I am also intending to invest in the PSVR 2 and I am sure to enjoy that as well. Its surprising how cool it seems to keep this system as well. I also preferred the M.2 slot provided by Sony instead of the port that you plug the card into on the Series X, allowing you to choose your own expansion card. This is a console that has a great game ecosystem, excellent graphical user interface and top notch accessories that I feel put it ahead of the competition. You won't be disappointed if you go the same route!

First, I would like to say that the customer service was excellent. When I first got this system I was ecstatic is everything that it claims to be and more it has high speed connection, crystal clear picture and real deal futuristic qualities and design, I’ve played many other systems like PlayStation PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, pro Xbox, Wii, Sega,Dreamcast, Nintendo switch and I just haven’t found anything like this, it’s like I’m actually inside the game and I lobe it I give this system at 10 out of 10 and I give Best Buy customer service a A-1 rating thank you for helping me acquire this PlayStation five console, and for being so assertive and extremely kind and helpful way to go Best Buy

Best part loading times are faster. The controller feels like an upgrade over the ps4. The rumble feedback is more realistic. My headphones are sync better with the ps5. Wish there was more storage.

I had a PS5 that I bought via resell, and after a year, it stopped playing disc (but it could still play digital content). With no warranty on it, I was concerned that it would be a while before I would be able to get one in store to replace it. Just on a whim, I trolled the Best Buy app, and saw the local Best Buy had several in stock. I immediately placed the order on the app, and purchased a warranty on it just in case. This is a phenomenal console, and despite it being a very huge console, it essentially is a mini PC. If you’re able to find them, customize your console with color plates to give it a personal look. With the addition of God of War Ragnarök this is the perfect game to play on this console to take advantage of its features.

Fantastic graphics, fast gameplay speed , sounds great , if you got the TV you will notice the how amazing the PS5 can be .i got digital edition and also upgraded the memory plug and play option very easy ibstall .

This. Thing. Is a. MONSTER. I can’t find a proper place to put it. It has angles and curves I didn’t even know existed. At one point I turned it on at night and the pure white of the console blinded me for a solid MINUTE. I hear my cats worshipping it through the night. 10/10 would purchase again but would have to sell my house first.

Absolutely love the PS5. The graphics for playing ragnarok are so much better than in the PS4 and there’s less lag. Only downside is how big the machine is, it’s like an old computer tower.
