Last year I bought the PS+ membership for my nephew, and another for my daughter, after reading many online reviews on several websites. My nephew is a constant gamer, several hours a day, all the newest releases, far more than any human should be staring at a screen. Initially he rolled his eyes, and turned his nose up, at the gift. However once he put in the code and started looking at the site, he texted "best gift ever!" Over the twelve months he downloaded and played over a dozen games, worth several times the cost of the membership. Now that he has upgraded to the PS4, the membership is required for online group play, so it is even better for him. For my daughter and myself we haven't downloaded and played as many games as my nephew, but there are a few, again worth more than the cost of the membership. This year I had no second thought in purchasing a renewal for both accounts. I have, and likely will continue to be very happy with the purchase.

As an owner of a PlayStation 3 and now a PlayStation 4, this has become an essential part of my gaming experience. I was initially hesitant when they announced this Plus upgrade, but after getting a free trial period, it was hard to rationalize going back. For $50, you get at least 24 free games a year. If you have multiple PlayStation systems (any combination of the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita), you can get up to 72 free games a year. Considering a full-priced physical game is typically $60 and even independent digital titles usually start only as low as $10, this is just an unrivaled deal in gaming as far as I'm aware. In addition to the free games, you also get more and bigger discounts on digitally released games across all three aforementioned platforms. I strongly recommend this to anyone with or planning to buy a PlayStation system.

It allowed me to extend my Playstation Plus subscription, as expected! Couldn't ask for more, couldn't ask for less! haha! allows for online multiplayer on the PS4, as well as a nice collection of complimentary games for PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 every month!

For $50 a year, you get to download as many free games from the Instant Game Collection (IGC) as you want, plus you get to keep them all...as long as you are an active member of PSP. New games are constantly being added to the IGC, so there are always new games to try. If you are no longer a subscriber to PSP, the games you downloaded will not be available to you, however, when you re-activate your PSP account, every game you EVER downloaded will be available. - Multiple PSP memberships are stackable, so you may redeem two cards at the same time. For example, if you bought two 12-month PSP memberships and redeemed both on January 1st, 2015, your PSP membership will expire on January 1st, 2017. - One 12-month PSP membership for the same PlayStation account (same user ID) will work on all PlayStation platforms (PS3, PS4, PS Vita) during that one year period.

I am sad that this service is not free but it's not too expensive. This is my first PlayStation as I have owned all Xbox products in the past. My oldest son convinced me that the PS4 is really cool with more options. I settled on this as with this PlayStation plus membership you can play with other PlayStation users online. He is now in the Army and stationed in another state so when we play we can party chat the whole time which I think is a great feature. The other reason I don't mind spending the money on this 12 month subscription is that you also have the ability to download several games each month for free. Being new to the PS4 my library is not very big yet so this gave me the opportunity to add a few more titles to my PS4 to try other types of games. No regrets with this purchase. I will renew when it expires.

This is a must buy product for anyone with a PS3, PS4 or Vita. If you own any of those consoles I stated you owe it to yourself to sign up for PS Plus because the benefits outweighs the cost. The Great thing is that one membership works across all playstation platforms which nets you free games every month across all 3 systems if you own all 3. Now by free I mean you keep them for as long as you maintain your membership. If your membership lapses you will lose all the game titles you download. The only way you would not want the Plus membership if you don't have broadband internet otherwise it is a must especially if you want to play online on PS4 since PS3 nor Vita do not require membership to play online. BTW if you are a member you get extra discounts when they have sales on downloadable games.

I purchased this to get my Ps4 online account to use for established. Its very easy to use too. I purchased it online at the best buy store then simply picked it up for 12 months of ps4 online game play plus I got a lot of dlc and free games. Great job Sony loved the ps4 so glad I didn't get an out dated xbone1.

    PSPlus is worth it...

But... The network lacks the stability you would hope for. The monthly offerings for PS Plus users makes this well worth the $40 to $50 you'll typically spend for 12-months, but as I said, the network..... The network isn't directly related to the PSPlus membership. Granted. But back when it was announced that it was required to have PSPlus to play most games online on PS4, people seemed to jump to the conclusion that we'd see a more stable network than we saw with PS3. For once PSN wasn't going to be 100% free, and given that they're seeing an influx of new revenue, one would've hoped that they'd dedicate a great deal of that revenue toward improving the buggy network they'd established with the previous generation of consoles. But we still see regular unexpected downtime(outside the scheduled maintenance times/days) and it's not unusual to see certain features of the network only partially functional for a few hours a week. But I digress, PSPlus is indeed worth it. It works as advertised. The free games aren't always going to appeal to the masses, but there are always a few hidden gems in the mix. My only criticism toward PSPlus is that the 1GB limit on cloud storage isn't quite sufficient when you've got multiple copies of saves from games that have multiple or large save files(i.e. Minecraft, Rocket League, Apotheon, DriveClub, etc.). They got PSPlus right. Now they just need to improve the network itself. ;)

For years people had been telling me to go ahead and join the PSN / PS+ community and I resisted because I'm not really all that interested in multiplayer gaming. I prefer RPG games or the storylines on FPS games. Now that I'm a member, I can play with friends and family members across the country and it's like they're in the same room [again, for me, not that enticing] BUT I do enjoy getting exclusive discounts on DLCs in addition to free games every month. It was on sale for $39.99 when I got it which breaks down to a bit over $3 / month... less than even a cheap gas station coffee. I've already saved / received over $100 in content within the first week of use. I will definitely renew.

OK, so PS Plus is required to play PS4, but it makes the PS4 so much better. Online play and free games are the big attraction with Plus. There is no good reason to not renew this annual subscription.

.......the more you NEED to get this. I have PS3 got a vita because of plus and will get ps 4 in 1-3 yrs. plus gives "free" games every month. Yours until you drop plus. Get them back once you renew--- games are digital. I have been locking in my license for ps4 games since it came out so will have 100 games once I buy ps4. This card is my 4 th one. Have gotten $1000s worth of games over the years. Some good, bad, already had. Get some games would never buy but turn out to be great. Also this card allows you to buy games (and keep no matter what) at up to 90% off. Sony has more and bigger sales than Xbox. Not a fanboy----I own a xbone and LOVE it

For starters this is a necessity for anyone who would likes to game online with their PS4. Aside from whats mentioned above, the product is great for those who game a lot and find themselves churning through games and content quickly. This subscription grants you 2 FREE games every month across all three of their platforms (PS4, PS3 and handhelds). The titles will vary per system and range from re-released titles to new AAA Indie games growing in popularity. Along with the freebies you also can get a discount on most purchases through the Playstation Store. So again for anyone looking to game a lot and not commit to a monthly subscription this is the way to go!

I just bought a PS3 recently and it can be disheartening to spend so much and then have so few games to choose from. However by adding the Playstation Plus membership, I got access to 4 games. One month later I got access to 3 more. 7 games and the subscription is basically paid for. Not to mention the auto patch and trophy syncing(which should be free). But if you want instant access to games that revolve monthly then this subscription is amazing.

I have been a PS Plus member since 2011. The greatest feature of this service is the 1GB cloud service utilized for game saves from the PS3/PS4. Perfect for allowing game play form any location by simply downloading the latest saved game files. The first time you play a game on PS4, you are asked if you prefer to auto save to Online storage. This makes it transparent when you own more than one PS4 system. The only downside is that the cloud goes away eventually if you let the membership lapse. Also forgot to mention the monthly free downloadable games that come with the membership. This makes membership a deal that you can't refuse!

At roughly 50 dollars for a whole year, you're looking at a little over 4 dollars a month. However, you will receive 2 free games every month if you have a PS4, four if you own a PS3 and a PS4, 6 if you own a PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. You're looking at at least 24 free games with this purchase. Even if you rarely use PS+ for multiplayer games, you owe it to yourself to purchase this, especially because of the free games. Tip: I've seen it on sale for as low as 35, but it's still a steal at 50.

Pros: this card gives you a great value for accessing the PlayStation Plus service. With PlayStation Plus, you can play games online and you get free games every month. PlayStation Plus is linked to your PSN account. So, you can download games on your PS4 and PS3 every month (if you have both systems). The games that are offered for each console are usually different. Redeeming this game is very easy. Cons: The games that you download for free will no longer be accessible when your PlayStation Plus membership runs out. On PS4, a PlayStation Plus membership is required to play games online.

This card allows you to enjoy being a member of Playstation Plus for a year without having to use your credit card to purchase a membership on PSN. I love this aspect of it. I don't feel comfortable putting my credit card information on my PS3 due to the possibility of it getting stolen or any network hacks. Yes, I know nothing is fool proof, but it gives me a peace of mind knowing that should something like that happen, I will not have to worry about any fraudulent charges on my card. I like PS+ because of the discounts on games and the free games they offer every month. Every month, they offer at least one or two games they are actually pretty high profile (This past month alone, they had Uncharted 3, Saint's Row the Third and Battlefield 3). There are other perks to being a member like getting access to hour long game trials, game beta's and certain game demo's are available sooner. The only thing I think Sony could do to improve PS+ would be to allow you to keep the games they offer for free, but I don't see that happening. Since Microsoft recently stepped their game up and now gives away "free" games to gold members, (which are theirs to keep regardless of if they remain a member of Xbox Live Gold or not) maybe Sony will take a page from their book. The reason I don't see it happening is because the games Microsoft has offered (so far at least) are older (4-6 years) while Sony's offerings are anywhere from 1-3 years old. All and all, PS+ is well worth just for the free games alone. I had gotten my money's worth and then some after a single day of having it.

I bought Playstation Plus when I bought my PS4 cause if you want to play online your have to have it, but it's not so bad, some of the things I like are the free games that are released each month, you get discounts on games and other items in the Playstation Store, and you can upload your game saves to the cloud for safe keeping. So if free games every month, discounts in the Playstation Store, and a while bunch of nice features is recommended Playstation Plus for anyone.

For $50 per year (or cheaper if you can find a sale), you get up to 6 free games per month, depending on what PlayStation platforms you own: 2 games each for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, and some of the games are "cross-platform," meaning you might net 4 PS4 games in a single month. For me, these games are largely games I wouldn't have otherwise tried, but have had a chance to fall in love with, like the current month's offerings of Xeodrifter and Super Time Force Ultra. Plus, you get deals frequently. I just picked up Metal Gear Solid 3 and Peace Walker for $10.50 total, thanks to my PS+ discount.

PlayStation Plus is a great value. The games that come with membership each month are almost like a "loot crate" service (it's fun to see what surprises the next month has in store), and you get incredible value throughout the year compared to what this costs. Not to mention multiplayer and extra discounts during sales. If you have multiple PlayStation systems the value only increases. While it's a bummer that paying for online services is now basically a requirement for console owners that want to play online, PlayStation Plus provides such great value that I'd likely subscribe regardless.
