I bought into the PlayStation Plus program when it started on PS3, and I will continue to renew yearly. Besides the monthly 3-4 free game downloads, it enables multiplayer on PS4, and gives discounts and sales on items in the "PlayStation Store". It is smart to buy this item when they go on sale (like Black Friday), as they are stackable (each one adds 1 year to your account) and non-expiring.

When I went to purchase my PS4 I also purchased this card. Had it not been for the very helpful associate and his tips I probably would have never bought this. The kicker of it all was the fact that he is an avid Xbox player and still recommended I buy the full year instead of a monthly card. Admittedly I knew nothing about the cards as I've never had to purchase one. Thanks for the help!

For any hardcore gamer, this is a must for multilayer games. The price is fair for the value. Not only do you have multiplayer access, but free, full version games monthly as long as you keep the subscription. You may want to consider a hard drive upgrade with all the free games you'll get! And if you have both a ps4 and ps3, PS plus will be valid on both systems. One point for Playstation!

Most gamer's know that ps4 now requitres the PS Plus subscription for playing online, but I can't say I mind the $50 a year cost. Namely due to the FREE GAMES sony hands out every month for being a member! This applys to any/all of the Playstion Systems currently out: PS3 PS4 and PS Vita. Add in auto-updates and cloud-based backups of all my saved games, this yearly investment is a no-brainer!

PS+ 12 month membership is well worth 50$. You get free games for PS4-PS3-PS Vita.

With Playstation Plus you can get tons of discounts off games on the Playstation Store, not only do you get discount games, you also can get FREE Themes, avatars, and Even Games (its a trial mind you). For PS4 players, this membership is required to play online. It's cool because they still offer PS4 game discounts too. So you might as well get 2 for the price of 1 (Online Play and Discounts)

Yes, it's $50. But is that such a steep price to pay for a year? It's not just for online gaming, but you also get two free games each month, along with access to exclusive sales and really good deals that are members-only. I think PSN is also starting a video-streaming service like Netflix or Amazon Prime for members as well. If you have PlayStation, I highly recommend membership.

This 12 month membership card will get you the same thing that you buy directly from the PSN store except that Best Buy may have a promotion on it which means you pay less for the same! PS+ allows you to play online for games that have multiplayer and comes with great benefits like discounted pricing on certain games/add-ons and select free games every month for PS3/4/Vita/PSP!

Unfortunately, if you have a PS4, you HAVE to have PS+ to be able to play online (multiplayer) and it sucks that you don't have a say in the matter. However, it IS worth it. You get a few games for free each month and the subscription pretty much pays for itself with all the free content you get from it. Highly recommended if you want to socialize online with other players.

totally worth the price if youre a playstation fan. the free games and discounts you get every month are worth the price tag. it equates to roughly 6-7$ a month, and with it you get to collect and keep several games each month, some good and some not so good, and you can access and play them at anytime. also a must if you play anything online on the PS4.

I always love getting two free games a month with my annual membership. I also get this item whenever Best Buy puts it on sale. Sometimes it goes on sale for 30 sometimes for 40. Great purchase especially since the playstation store won't give you a discount on the membership. Also it makes a great gift for your friends as a birthday present or something of that sort.

I just got the new Star Wars game for Christmas and tried out PlayStation Plus for the 2 day trial and the game was that much more enjoyable! When the 2 day trial ended, I had to decide whether to do the monthly plan or go ahead and sign up for a year. I think the year plan makes the most sense no matter how much or little you play, seems like the best value.

Not a lot to say about this one. It's a year long membership to Sony's online network so you can't really rate the card so much as the service. My son uses it constantly and we've never had any trouble with activation or access. The view times the service has been down for an extended period, Sony issued a coupon to extend the service by that amount of time.

Bought this to renew my expiring PS Plus membership. Better deal than the 3 month cards. Don't be confused with the cards that say 1 year instead of 12-month; they're exactly the same and are the same price, I think one is just an older version of the cards. Good selection of free games every month and access to weekly deals and cheaper plus pricing during sales.

Not only because it is required to actually play games online, but it is also a great value and best deal to have compared to just purchasing for less than a year. Presuming that you are going to be playing year round, the value for the 12 month membership is worth it; you also get access to various, exclusive, free gaming titles monthly for members on PS+

I had been putting off getting PS+, because it never met with my budget. Then I saw it discounted here at BB, so I finally broke down and got it.I don't regret it at all. The first thing I did, was download Little Big Planet Karting, and Saints Row 3. Great games, and combined, basically covered the cost of the card, on day one. I still have 12 more months of free game offers, to look forward to. The one negative is, my daughters both have PS Vitas, and even though I'm eligible for free Vita games, AND I can download to my PS3 for transferring to a Vita, my kids can not actually use the games, because PS+ is tied to your account (and sub accounts). I knew that was a possibility going in, so I didn't lower the rating, but definitely something I wish was different. Fortunately, Sony IS changing the policy when the PS4 arrives. I was hoping it might be sooner.

Odds are, if you have a PS4, you're a Plus subscriber. If not, you should change that. Aside from online multiplayer, you get a couple free games each month. For the time being, most are indie games, but I suspect some bigger titles are on their way soon. Subscriptions come in 1,3, and 12 month varieties, but the 12 month one offers the most value based on price.
