I was definitely one of those people that got dizzy after trying this one for the first time. It's insane how VR is and my only hope is the screen resolution can get better. I have a PS Pro and a 4k TV. The 4k quality is obviously better, but the VR aspect kicks it up a notch. I still need to get used to no throwing up!

Got this for my bf. HE LOVES IT. Easy set up, and everything ran smooth. My bf played Resident Evil 7 in VR mode and wow. It's definitely scarier with the VR. Haven't tried anything else but It's worth it!

I was intrigued with the VR hype and dove in without any previous experience. I must say that it is very cool and adds a new element in gaming. I think horror games will be the most popular genre for VR because it's so immersive and you literally feel like you're there. I've been playing RE:7 and it's scaring the life out of me and I'm loving it! Skyrim is also pretty great. Rush of Blood which is a move controller gun based horror game is also a truly fun, terrifying and thrilling experience. The catalog isn't big right now but there's a bunch of great games out there and more to come in the future. I'm definitely happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for a new gaming experience.

PSVR was my first experience with VR and it's amazing! I'm playing on a regular PS4 (not pro) and imo the graphics are great. Resident Evil 7 is terrifying in VR! It's really immersive, buy it now!

VR is simply incredible. The feeling of being inside a game and interacting with the world is finally here. There is some screen-door effect with PSVR, and the PS Move controllers don’t track as well as Oculus, but you’ll forget about it after playing for a while. Take some time to properly set up your camera and set your IPD (interpupillary distance). There are YouTube videos on it. I’m playing on a launch PS4 and VR games run fine. Having a PS4 Pro would smooth things out a bit graphically, but not worth the upgrade for me. If you’ve never experienced VR and don’t have a $1,000+ gaming computer, give it a try on PlayStation. It’s awesome now and will only get better!

a good option for vr if you already have a ps4. skyrim while not perfect in vr is a lot of fun and the psvr is comparatively easy to set up. I would avoid a set up in a high light area though

I can’t compare to other VR gear, but this is a great enhancement to game play. Have to play in small time periods and I, unfortunately, experience motion sickness from the VR. I am generally not susceptible to motion sickness, but VR does it. Something to seriously consider before purchasing.

This is the future of gaming. There are enough varied game types to appeal to everybody. It is very immersive. The contr9ls tale a little getting used to, but after that it feels intuitive.

Its a hit in my house. I was on the fence but once I tried out the playroom, until dawn rush of blood, skyrim vr, Resident Evil, vr worlds and several demos, I was hooked. I've played it at least once a day, even if for a few minutes to increase my rush of blood score. Move controllers are a must for some games and makes it much more immersive. I felt a little weird after an hour of resident evil and the first time riding the roller coaster in rush of blood, but wasn't bad enough that I felt sick. I would just take it off for 15 minutes or give my kids a turn. They love it. I limit them to 10 minutes. Skyrim and Resident Evil, although the same game, seem like entirely different games when playing in VR. Hard to explain until you try it yourself. In Skyrim, you can turn off the teleporting setting for local motion to turn smoothly and for smooth movement. Felt more natural for me to play that way but I can see getting adjusted to the teleportation if the motion is to much for you in VR. Now I want the Farpoint game with aim controller. In a way VR is like getting a new video game system with an entirely different gaming experience. Its a little more wow factor to me anyway than when, for example, trying out the Wii motion control for the first time. I believe VR is here to stay. Glad I get to enjoy it now with great games rather than wait 5-10 years for any VR improvements and miss out. Really don't miss the sharper graphics as much as I thought. Fun factor makes up for lower resolution.

A neat new technology that's still young

So first off, it is quite the neat experience. It was hard for me to imagine what it was like until I actually tried it myself. It's not something you can watch on a flat screen or ever understand without the goggles. Now I've played the heck out of Skyrim since it released and this is quite a refreshing experience to relive Skyrim again. The easiest way to explain it, imagine if you wanted to actually feel like you are there, this does a pretty amazing job at doing that. Your own person feels like they're within the the world, rather than facing it.I'm not the greatest at explaining, but it's definitely something you've gotta try to get the full understanding.
Now it isn't perfect yet, the technology is relatively new and hopefully it sells well enough that we'll get to experience an even better future with VR. My personal downfalls is the quality/resolution (also this is PSVR which has a much more limited power than the PC equivalents). Now this could be a mix of my own eyes and my personal preference/tastes on quality and what not, as it's a visual thing, and that is a very subjective manner. But for me, I find a lot of the text isn't as crisp as I'd like it and the character models (for Skyrim) are a little less clear and detailed to the eye. Especially at a distance, it tends to get worse, of course. For an example, at the beginning when you make your character, I found it quite had to spot the detail as easy without having to move forward and get a closer look, which makes sense but also makes it feel as if my eyes are bad (maybe they are?) but when I took the headset off and looked at the detail on the actual TV, the quality was an improvement. Now I also own a 1440p monitor with Skyrim's Special Edition, which really makes the game look a whole different world, plus with the capability of mods, you can make Skyrim look insanely great. But overall, it's as expected. New technology powered by a PS4 Pro in my case, which is still limited power.
My overall experience has been a good one! It's a neat introduction into possibility and what the future could be. Yeah the quality in-game isn't amazing yet, but as a player of games old and new games, visuals never bothered me if the core gameplay was fun. I definitely appreciate better visuals and find it really can add to immersion but the VR system is very immersive on the "gameplay" aspect and since it's such a neat experience, I'm a lot more forgiving. I just really am crossing fingers for the future.
I have a PC that is powerful enough for both Vive or Rift, but my spacing is limited as my PC is in a tight space which wouldn't work with the setup. So the PSVR works wonders for me as my PS4 is out in the open with ample room. It's also the cheapest of the VR systems, so there is also understanding that it'd be the lesser advanced/quality version. But I still think it's a worth it experience. Especially with the fact that more Sony exclusives could release for VR (or hopefully more games in general), the awesome gun controller (my next purchase for sure), and the simplicity of setting it up. It's definitely a win for me.
Setup is easy, however, they don't provide the extra details for setting up that you'll have to manually do and should definitely do. So basically you have a simple setup where you fit yourself into the camera and it shows you how to put on the headset properly. After that it has a blur test to make the fonts look smooth. I had a lot of trouble with this as it still was not perfectly crisp (especially the far left side and far right side edges of the text) and I could see a slight green glow around text. I'm not sure if I've got the headset setup wrong or my eyes are bad, or if my standards are just quite high as I'm used to higher framerates and resolutions. But this was the best I could do. Now let me continue with these manual settings, so in the settings, inside the Devices there is a Playstation Camera and also VR selection. I recommend adjusting the camera then going into the VR and not only manually doing the tracking but also doing the eye to eye test. It'll help adjust to your eyes and for me it made a difference in blur, although not perfect of course, it helped make everything a lot nicer.
One thing with Skyrim or any game really would be the ability to add mods. I've not read up on this but the replay value and experience in VR with mods would be sick! Though I'm not sure how this will work or anything. But I definitely think the future, especially with PC VR and allowing/able to add mods for the game experience could really up the amazing things we could do in VR!
Final conclusion: Positively satisfied with this new experience! I'm crossing my fingers for VR to be a big focus and a lot of effort into improving it!

My son as the full blown 3k PC VR set up and it's extremely impressive. I looked at these when they first came out but most the contents where tech demos. When Skyrim came out on the VR it was a must have. You have to experience this first hand. Does not matter how often you have played this or if you have played it on a 125" projector. There is nothing like the feeling of being inside the game. It's huge and your're inside, get past the graphic limitation and it's breath taking experance.

So I bought this set specifically for Skyrim VR. It is the best set of them all because it also includes the 2 move controllers, which others don’t.
Setup instructions are great, I had it up and running in about 20 minutes. You need a PS4 in order to work it.
And now, the most important part: graphics. The graphics take a bit of a hit from the normal Skyrim experience, but since you’re immersed in it it’s easier to look past that. Controls are definitely a learning curve. It’s most fun to play a spell caster with the move controllers. As someone who doesn’t like spiders, fighting them in a cave made me a bit uneasy; that’s how immersed in it you get. I chose the smooth move option, which moves you normally, there is also a point and teleport option which is more jarring but helps with people who get motion sickness.
All in all, it’s fun and immersive, but expensive. If you can get it on sale or have some gift cards, def worth it, or for the die hard Skyrim fan I highly recommend it.

I am happy to have purchased this product. I never had any experience with VR but has always been interested. I just took the plunge with the PS VR and was very impressed right away.
The set up was very easy. The response of the controls are pretty good. The head set feels durable; not too fragile. The only thing I am changing are the earphones. I am going to use my own headphones for better quality sound.
Overall I would recommend the product.
