It is everything I wanted and more. The videos on YouTube do not do the actual experience any justice. Bought this for Gran Turismo 7 after my cat passed away in December. The moment the VR came on I shrieked from excitement. It genuinely feels like you’re in the car. If you have a wheel your brain tricks you to thinking that the arms in the game are yours. Unreal.

The PlayStation VR2 offers an improved virtual reality experience compared to its predecessor. The higher resolution display and enhanced tracking contribute to a more immersive and visually appealing experience. The simplified setup process is a positive aspect, making it more accessible for users. However, some users might find the lack of major hardware advancements disappointing, as it still relies on the PlayStation camera for tracking. Overall, the PlayStation VR2 is a solid choice for PlayStation enthusiasts and those looking to dive into VR gaming, but it may not be a significant upgrade for existing VR users with high-end headsets.

Awesome. Gran Turismo 7 in VR with a wheel is a game changer. Anyone can have a sim racing set up with the addition of PSVR2 at a fraction of the cost compared to real sim racing setups. The PSVR2 is also now compatible with PC. Set up is a million times easier and quicker when compared to PSVR. One USB-C plug and you're in another reality.

I was a little skeptical due to price but honestly the tech that Sony shoved into such a compact headset is astounding. The eye tracking, the motion controllers, the ease of connectivity makes this such a fun and seamless experience. $550 is a steep asking price but I don’t feel that it was money misspent at all. Loving the library of games, loving the visual and tracking quality of the headset and it’s just been such a blast to get lost in so many different worlds. Takes a bit to get used to the vr motion but after that it’s just endless fun. Love it.

Brought this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he loves it. His quote "Gaming will never be the same again!" He says the games are awesome and the visual aspect is so real. He is enjoying the games especially Alien. He said to take it to the next level it would be great to have it wireless. Best gift ever!

Are you ready to take your gaming to the next level? Look no further than the PlayStation VR 2! As a high schooler navigating the world of virtual reality, I was skeptical at first, but let me tell you, this device blew me away. First off, let's talk about the immersive experience. From the moment I put on the sleek headset, I was transported to another world. Whether I was exploring ancient ruins, battling futuristic robots, or simply chilling in a virtual lounge, every moment felt real and exhilarating. Now, let's address the elephant in the room – the left controller pairing issue. Initially, I encountered some frustration when my left controller refused to sync up. However, thanks to the helpful guidance of the sales associate, I was able to exchange it for a replacement without any hassle. Problem solved! Once everything was up and running smoothly, I was amazed by the precision and responsiveness of the controllers. Whether I was wielding a virtual sword or delicately manipulating objects in a puzzle game, the motion tracking was spot on, making every action feel natural and intuitive. The graphics are another standout feature of the PlayStation VR 2. With stunning visuals and smooth frame rates, the games come to life in vivid detail. Whether you're exploring vast open worlds or engaging in intense firefights, the graphics will leave you breathless. But perhaps the best part of the PlayStation VR 2 is the sense of community it fosters. Whether you're teaming up with friends for a multiplayer adventure or sharing your experiences online, the VR community is vibrant and welcoming, adding a whole new dimension to the gaming experience. In conclusion, if you're looking to elevate your gaming experience to new heights, look no further than the PlayStation VR 2. With its immersive gameplay, precise controls, stunning graphics, and vibrant community, it's a game-changer in every sense of the word.

I own mini VR solutions from valve to meta to HTC and now Sony... The valve index and PSVR 2 are by far my favorites. Considering that the PSPR2 only requires a $400 game console to run VR, I'd consider it the most approachable VR solution for anyone interested in getting involved in virtual reality gaming. Many of the games available for PSVR are available on PC, the libraries are very similar. I set up the device in my room in just a few minutes It didn't require any lighthouses or sensors to set up just the headset and the controllers. I would consider this a 5 out of 5 star experience.

Purchased this at the original price drop when I was looking to go from my HTC Vive Pro, but not quite willing to dive into a prosumer or commercial grade headset for PCVR. I put it up against my Quest 3 and HTC Vive Pro with GearVR mod and it performed well. I enjoy the optics and comfort fit, especially after finding some cushions to purchase that make the fit so much better. My only complaint(s) with this headset would be I wish that Sony would allow the eye tracking, HDR, and haptics in the headset and controllers while hooked up to the PC through their drivers. I suppose it's locked away due to partnership agreements and licensing they have with said partners. Either way, it's great at the price to performance if you can get it at around the $300 mark or so and still want a wired PCVR experience with no latency and 120hz refresh.

Love my PSVR2 from GT7 to New Horizon to 1st person shooters bring the games to life. Controllers could use newer components for a newer age to stop drift I mean what is in them has been around for 24 years let’s update them especially for the price. Or make them easily replaceable and an item that you know will wear down.

I own the PSVR, but I stopped playing it when I upgraded to the PS5. Then a couple years later I hooked up a TV and PS4 in my basement and played the PSVR and I forgot how much I loved it. That encouraged me to get the PSVR2 last month, and I have been playing it everyday since. What an upgrade. The visuals are nice, the pass through works great, the new controllers are awesome, and the games are fully immersive. Highly recommend!

I was skeptical abiut getting the psvr2 because the psvr was just an ok add-on to me. They have really put in work to make sure this far surpassed the psvr. I would recommend this for all vr lovers. The only thing that could have made this better is if were completely wireless like the oculus quest. Other tha ln that it blows the oculus out of the water.

I've used several different VR systems over the years, and each one has its pros and cons. PC-based VR headsets can be more powerful (if you have a really high-end PC). But gaming on the PC often has hardware and software issues that can leave the user frustrated. The PSVR2 is a different animal in comparison. Right out of the box it works extremely well. If you already have a PS5, this is a plug-and-play system that you can have ready to go in minutes. The visual quality is great, and the controllers are much better than the PSVR1. It also has less wiring than the PSVR1, which is a big plus Now, for the downsides. Compared to the Meta Quest 2, it is wired. Meta Quest is a truly "go anywhere" device that doesn't need to connect to a machine. Compared to PC setups, the games cannot be modded. For example, you cannot add your own songs into Beat Saber- you have to buy their expensive music packs. And compared to the PSVR1, be aware that some great games are not backwards compatible. Superhot, Astro Bot, etc were designed for the old VR system that relied on a camera and the old controllers. So you may find that a game you really wanted to play (or already owned) cannot be used on the PSVR2. None of those issues are a deal breaker, but if they resolved one or two of those and added some more games, I would bump this to 5 stars

I got when was on sale and it really is an impressive piece of equipment. Between the haptics, the eye tracking, and everything else it is a different type of gaming experience. Not sure if worth at full price, but on sale i think is for sure worth it.

By the way, the discussions mentioned below were via chat, so there is a record of it if anyone at Best Buy cares to review. Great product, but buy elsewhere. First one was defective, returned it and got a new one. Price dropped 2 weeks later (thanksgiving special). Spent 1+ hrs working with support to get price match. Later price match is denied because I returned the product. Spent another hour with support who could never understand that one was returned and another was purchased- they did promise follow-up, but after a month all I received was a confirmation that my request to cancel my Best Buy membership was processed (I never requested that). Went to local store and was met with complacency and had to leave after long wait.

This is such a cool gadget, for playing GT7 is amazing, nothing better, is not as sharp as playing it on a 4K screen but it feels like if you were inside the car racing, there's nothing like it.

Really stunning headset that makes playing Gran Turismo seriously next level. Easy setup with a single cable is rad. The two drawbacks are the lack of depth sensor, which makes room/space setup a bit cumbersome, and the playspace requirement is rather large. My house isn't huge but my other headsets have had no problem with setting up playspaces while this one forces me to move furniture around to open up enough space.

I had the original PSVR and enjoyed it well enough. But the PSVR2 is hands down one of the best vr platforms out there. If you have any interest in vr and have a PlayStation 5 this is what you are looking for. It's super comfortable and although it is cable connected it is hardly noticeable.

First off, the headset is great. The visual fidelity blows the Quest 2 out of the water, which was my last headset. The screen door effect isn't bad at all, the OLED panels have fantastic color, all with the graphics power of the PS5? It's a total win all the way around. If you've already got a PS5 and you want to dip your toes into VR, don't hesitate to buy this rig. The only down side, but it's not really that bad, is that the controllers are a little short on battery- but it's really better to take breaks after a little while anyway. So not a deal breaker for me but if that bothers you consider another solution like an extra battery pack that you can connect a USB cable to (yes, that works). This is 100% with it with the games currently available. I can't wait until more come out, this will change everything as far as VR viability for consoles goes.
