Truly a wonderful sound and awesome quality from my new speaker--I was amazed!!

I love my Sony portable speaker and get the virtual same sound as other more expensive portable speakers. Positives: Durable and easily portable. Sound quality is really great sounding better than other portable speakers and still play the same after months of use . Bass is great tangible even at high volumes better than other portable speakers. The loudness of the speaker is also great even when out side and standing reasonably far from it. The blue tooth signal is strong enough to be picked up reasonably far from it as well. Price is relatively cheap with other speakers just as loud and quality as more expensive portable speakers. Negatives: The listening/ sound angle (* is about 70 degrees in front of the speaker*) and is limited when not in front of the speaker. Unfortunately not water, sand, dirt or dust proof but still is quite durable. They not very heavy but enough to notice a bit of weight. The battery life is only about 6 hours or more compared to other longer lasting battery life of more expensive portable speakers. If I would buy another portable speaker I would buy this one again.

This is a great speaker if you do not wish to spend a fortune. Its a solid construction makes it durable yet lightweight for easy portability. The added surround sound feature is great when you are in larger rooms! The simplicity of the design look makes it blend into your decor, I take this speaker with me everywhere I go. The carrying case provided protects it while in my back pack. Long battery life compared to other speakers I've had in past. Easy bluetooth conectivity. The only thing I do not like about this particuliar speaker is that because it has long battery life it is hard to tell when the battery is low on charges. They added a light and if it blinks or is orange you need to charge but its to hard to see because its on the back of the speaker and unless your sitting right next to the speaker you cant see it. That is the only drawback to this product otherwise I Love it!'

My daughter got the speaker for Christmas holiday and she loves it. It can get really loud and it even connects with your cell phone bluetooth. She loves talking on the phone with it, it sounds so clear. Sony was a good choice, great product. Not water proof.

I use this speaker when traveling and want to stream my media from the phone while at a hotel, Or as a better speaker when watching a movie on the tablet or laptop. The only thing I would suggest is a slightly bigger battery. I like to play soft meditation music all night and once or twice it didn't make the full 8 hours before shutting down; but that seems to have improved after a few battery cycles and it hasn't shut down before 8 hours in recent experience. Sound quality is good, there is plenty of volume, and it pairs easily with every device I've wanted to connect to. In addition, the price point is much better than the competing brands if you're not really buying it to show off a name.

Picked this one over the JBL and the Bose Soundlink Mini. Sound quality seemed better. Looks stylish on the bedroom dresser and doesn't take up a lot of space. Holds a good charge as well.

Great Wireless Speaker, easy to set up, great sound, good battery life, good volume. Gets used everyday by a Teenager and has had no problems.

This speaker sounds incredible and is very small and easily portable. It sounds better than many of my much bigger bluetooth speakers and can go extremely loud. I highly recommend it over beats or the Logitech UE series or anything else for that matter. The only downside is that it turns off when unused after a few minutes (wish it stayed on if plugged in), and plays an obnoxiously loud noise when turning on/off and connecting (can't turn those off), I don't know why all these bluetooth speakers think we need sounds for everything, makes it useless if you want to use it to put a baby to sleep.

This sony wireless speaker has the best sound when I compared it to other speakers on the floor. The 100 dollar range can offer some mid range performance from other speakers but from what I feel and hear with these sony speakers are well worth. It has a simple but cool design. Elegant but cool from its fonts and led indicator lights. The rubber feel makes it grip well and gives it a smooth flat painted look that goes nice all over high quality design. Now to the sound I was really impressed on how loud these speakers got for its small size. They're capable almost as loud as some boom boxes and the bass coming from these speakers were way better than all the 100$ speakers. It has an EQ button that will noticeably improve the sound on some music types. These speakers are worth looking at and trying out best deal for your hard earned money

This little bluetooth speaker from Sony packs a big and pleasing sound. It has plenty of volume that doesn't over modulate along with both great treble and bass. It has two sound modes: one for those who like more bass and one for those who like a more even balanced clarity of high and low notes. .It also includes a mini audio plug to connect to your PC for those that don't have bluetooth enable PCs. I use it to play music collections from YouTube. If you catch it on sale as I did, it is an even better value.

Between my son and I, this speaker never rests! We use it for BBQs, family parties, at the pool, etc. My son uses it for study music, and listening to music that he creates. The low to high range is respectable for the casual listener. The charge lasts for about 6 hours. It has very little problem linking to all of our Bluetooth devices. A great alternative to the Bose devices.

Did a lot of research before making my purchase. Sony lives up to there name with this speaker. Has a nice full sound from such a small device. I was a bit shocked when I hooked it up. It was also very easy to sync my iPhone 6+. In my opinion it sounds better than the jbl flip 2. Give this item a shot. You won't be disappointed. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

There's so many great things about this speaker: It produces a clear sound at moderate to loud volumes, it can fill a normal-sized room, works great outdoors and the battery holds a nominal 5-hour charge. It also works as a speakerphone, which might be great for some (I would have preferred a version without this feature, but I can see some people using it). The not-so-great: The bass can overpower the treble when playing music at low volumes. The speaker's volume settings are independent of those on the device, meaning you'll spend a bit of time adjusting the volume on both before you find a comfortable level of sound. It uses the old Bluetooth 2.0 standard, which really wasn't meant for streaming audio and can lead to distortion or dropped frequencies on some songs (newer speakers remedy this by using Bluetooth 3.0, 3.1 and 4.0), this can be overcome by using an auxiliary cable, and in my own testing, I found the speaker to produce amazing sounds via aux than via Bluetooth in most cases. If you're looking for a cheap, good-sounding wireless speaker backed by an globally-recognized brand, this is as good as they come. If you're looking for something with a bit better sound or a little more battery life, Sony makes those too, but they'll cost you a bit more.

From the clean design, through the clear and amazing sound to the great pricing, this speaker is almost perfect. Almost as you will have to gain up the volume every time you reconnect and as the speakerphone feature does not really satisfy ( but that's applicable to all other manufacturers equivalent products)

Purchased this speaker for a friend of mine. She wanted something portable yet was loud & had bass, I picked it up while it was on sale. She enjoy it immensely... Uses it every chance she gets! Perfect to watch movies with her iPad.. Given that iPad speaker is in the back, so it helps her to hear the audio more clearly when the Bluetooth speaker is connected. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this to use while riding my bike. It fits perfectly into a frame mounted water bottle holder. Now I can have music blasting at 30 watts while out on the bike, and it's plenty loud enough to hear over roadside noise and traffic. Connects easy by Bluetooth with my Android phone and many of the major music and radio apps. Thanks Sony and Best Buy.

Before purchasing this, I did a lot of research on which product was the best VALUE for the money. It came down to the UE Boom, JBL Flip, and this Sony SRSX2. Each one has it's positives: UE- battery life, JBL-shape/sound direction. While the Sony produces sound in a directional nature rather than in all directions like the JBL and it lacks the long battery life of the UE, I thought the sound quality was much better in the Sony. It is very crisp. It also had enough power for our group of 6 to listen to music comfortably in the beach. We didn't have it even close to full power. The contrition is quality and the look is classic. In the end, I am extremely happy with this speaker for the price. I think this speaker is worth more than I paid for it. Also, I never think I'll be listening to this for more than 4-5 hours consecutively without a plug and I don't mind projecting the music in a specific direction, so this was a perfect speaker for our needs.

This Bluetooth speaker is everything I was looking for. It has great sound volume that can fill an entire room. Very clear sound. I like that it's portable. Small enough to fit in a bag or purse but awesome sound quality. So easy to play my playlist from my phone wireless. Also have an auxiliary port if you don't have a Bluetooth device. Great buy!

Wish I would've waited a few weeks until this was $30 dollars cheaper...none the less it has great sound and is very portable! Very quick and easy to pair - I like the fact that you can sync via Bluetooth or aux cable.
